  • Nice flow!

  • dosnt look it to me is it northern or southern they are very different one doesnt use enought of the 3" wrists/forearm movements which is mantis's greatest weapon believe me my dad was a master in hong kong and the best practicioner in europe no doubt

  • Nice

  • the two are snake style

  • @w8ngr huh? no one is snake and the other is mantis can you not tell the difference? if not then u need to learn the different animal forms

  • I LOVE taekwondo, but This is amazing. Crane beats all though

  • all these people who say it's gay are retarded. It was a beautiful performance

  • The two fighters appear to be real. I have studied both styles and they appear legitimate.

  • two retards who think they can move like mantis and snake

  • @iceinaglass123 that'st he who point of why it's called the mantis fist and the snake fist. you came watching this video not knowing why this martial art is called the way it it?

  • omg, its real life mortal kombat!

    too soon?

  • they are hell slow !

    why ?

    demo .. only ?!

  • Nice...two masters demonstarting the beauty of their art and doing it while PROTECTING the other, not intentionally trying to cause injury.

  • mr miagi would have loved to watch fights on youtube...RIP

  • @XxexcelcierxX LOLLL,LMAO UR FUNNY

  • @XxexcelcierxX Probably not everyone. But I am sure there are one or two. A handful at least. :)

  • good! but would it work? not

  • People please comment if you really are into it or at least understand what are they doing... if u want to see blood in a fight... go to the underground street fights if u dare... True martial art exponent dun show off their skills... and they spar so that they know where are their weakness and continue to improve themselves... True warriors dun hurt people... they protect... Those fighters who hurt people are just thugs no matter what style they use

  • @tcsk88 AMENNNN TO THAT

  • its a friggin demonstration throw that upin the title homo

  • If you can't tell the difference between a style demonstration and sparring, you're missing the point of martial arts. And if you think that the only point is to see who could beat up who faster, you're missing the point of Kung Fu. Violence is always the LAST resort. But even if this is a practiced routine their reactions are real yet contained. Don't think they couldn't kick your ass in real life.

  • @KDiGGZ7 wisdom

  • FAAAKE.

Why can't they just do it liek the movies>?

  • Is this choreographed? I'd like to see a kung fu fighter in a real streetfight...

  • Not bad, gents.

  • sigh....powerless,,,looks too fake, please put more effort into it

  • boring

  • @XxexcelcierxX I was going to thumb up your comment, but I noticed it had 69 likes. That's the perfect number, really.

  • Amazing example of using proper restraint without losing the heart to strike

  • @XxexcelcierxX Best comment I've read on Youtube. Trust me. I'm an expert.

  • very intresting, what kind of discipline is this?

  • are any of these fuckin videos real fights

  • even choreographed...these guys could whip my ass.

  • cunts

  • the mantis is bad with foot positions and all of this is coreography. let´s think: why is no referee

  • do you think...mantis is better than snake?ows'?!what a poor snake....what a bias choreographed.....^_^

  • A CLEAR COMBAT MOMENT; Useless!

  • kung fu does not seem very effective, i believe it spents a lot of valuable energy with so many needless movements, obviously this is a choreography but they really look like clowns to me, the value of this martial art are the deadly attacks which of course will not see in the sports.

  • @marlino321 martial arts is a tradition , they are just seeing how good there style is and it's not for "deadly attacks"

    its mainly for self defense

  • I like it. It can tell it's a martial arts competition and it's like a form demonstration.

  • wish MMA was real martial arts, like this video. instead it is WWF wrestling. :-/

  • It's obviously fake the snake doesn't stop or he's screwed

  • wait the bolding guy is the snake rite?

  • this is a demo. they both know whats coming. lolol. Its nice choreography though

  • Apparently there's a martial arts competition up there ^

And a hater competition down here...

  • good choreograph.

  • i don t like your moves guys... you need work ....!

  • that mantis guy needs to practice more.... then again it is just a choreographed scene...

  • It's judged kinda like a dance, how smooth and fluid the movements and transitions are, is there good synchronization, hows the flow and form. It's like martial arts dance.

  • lol...chinese version of fake wrestling >.>

  • yeah, about thirty seconds in, I could tell it was choreographed......but there was some cool stuff there.

  • at about 0:35 i realized this was choreographed. Me and my friends could do this in our capoeira classes and we're not even that experienced in the art....

  • This just looks like lame version of brazilian capoeira..

  • Oh man, this is so bad. Don't they get ashamed of this?

  • lamest snake style ever...seen a 10 yo kid do better

  • kinda reminds me mortal kombat? haha

  • wow white guys with hella jumps awesomeness

  • fantastic.

  • Great fight choreography. And the fighters have "Soap Opera" names. This video is bound to be a hit lol

  • wow, now that was a good fight!

  • That's uneffective and i can beat those 2 guys with my fists, and if not they don't stand a chance against my gun!!! :) just kidding, i kinda missed these comments here so i post it.

    Great vid! thx for sharing!

  • mantis is awesome

  • i thought i saw 2 monkeys ;;)

  • It's funny how most people think they perceive things as fast as a kung fu practitioner. Train your eyes, train your reflexes and you'll quickly find out that movement can slow down drastically. What seemed like a quick punch a while ago could seem like a slow sloppy jab now. practitioner's reflexes greatly surpasses your ability to perceive split second motion so what can seem like a choreographed fight might very well be real sparring. I'm not saying this is the case here though.

  • Its true you get faster reflexes but truth to be told no martial art look like that and its never artistic. It always look like two big apes swinging at each other in a bar fight with no skill, no blocks, no fancy techniques, just dishing it out on each other. Biggest monkey win...

and btw, i cant believe i thought this kind of stuff was cool a couple of years ago.

  • Whats with all the haters? o.O Its a demo, so QQ less ploxkthxbai

  • por que no habra peleadores de kung fu en ufc

  • There is no way this fight wasn't planned. Look at them, they both know exactly where the other person is going to strike and when, and there is no power behind any of their attacks. I think they were just demonstrating the different styles, because that was not a real fight.

  • The video title nor the description holds the word "fight"

  • @YouTub3Usernam3 ooooh you're a fucking genius! punked...

in ogni caso ottima dimostrazione complimenti!!!!

  • It's called a ... DEMONSTRATION!

A real Kung-Fu fight would be over in about 10-seconds!

  • @OutrLiimitz thats how long it would take before one of them accidently trips on a rock? i would say 5 seconds...

  • damn

  • at some points they were just waiting for the other guy to hit them

  • you know most martial arts state tat one scould never want to fight it is only a means of defending himself. so most technics (dont know how to spell that word) are countering an attack by the opponent. so waiting is quite usefull, also nonstop attack is bad for the muscles and wears the guy down rest is essencial.

  • lol. no i meant that the other guy will wait for that to hit him as if they already planned out the moves.

"hey its ur turn to hit my neck"

    "huh? oh right"

    *karate chop to the neck*

  • oow like that yea ur probebly right haha btw didnt want to lecture u or anything just wanted to share my wisdom:P

  • of course this is all staged...

  • @Ceosan there are usually 4 different types of competitive fighting

    1no gloves fast light hiting

2 fast as soon as u make contact you pull away

    3point sparring

    4full contact like UFC

also look at akido demos they do all the moves but dont do them full force(safety) but the flip by them selves because that is what would happen if they did do them full force

  • yea 123 are all seriously flawed because they all involve pre subscribed elements. 3 is specially deceiving because practitioners never learn to deal with common, flawed or brutal attacks. only the attacks that they would use themselves. 4 is NOT full contact at all. no neck punches, eye gouges, groin kicks, or any sort of weapon. to tell the truth i dislike martial arts because they hardly ever get dirty with their fighting. then again not about self defense or sport tho, more about not dying.

  • @Ceosan true ufc is not true full contact but its just so it can be legal and not have perminit damage (besides brain damage) or law suits it used to be no gloves no weight classes and alot more moves with hits to the neck and other places u also have to remember ufc is a buisness groin kicks and stuff would end a fight to quickly the rest r just for fun there sports like football and baseball and try to be safe

  • my definition of fight is different from yours

  • @2016paul ...You do realize that "UFC" is the name of a company right and not a style....and there has NEVER been a fighter who suffered brain damage in the UFC.. boxing is where the brain damage occurs.. MMA fighters do not take nearly as much damage to the head, and the damage they receive is not constant as it is in boxing.MMA fighters do not end up like Mohammed Ali, because of kicks and submissions/grappling. IT IS TRUE FULL CONTACT, BUT NOT NO HOLDS BARRED.. big difference.

  • dont sound right where is the heya and woooo and whaaa?

  • i would go to one of these things to watch it would be super fun :D

  • I love metal gear niraid!!!I like raiden in mgs4 with his tight robot suit

  • Nice technique. They could beat up any of us here in less than a minute.

  • They couldn't beat my meat!!!

  • thats cuz your wife keeps it in the freezer since she chopped it off.

  • You get first place at world tournaments for looking like a dumbass? Shit like this gives kung fu a bad name.

  • ok this looks to routined even though it looked kinda cool, but it didn't have to be a little slow

  • I had kinda hoped they'd be dressed up like Metal Gear Solid characters....

  • Nice choreographed fight, good control and technique.

    Thanks for posting the video.

  • italians?

  • you got to give it to them though.... i mean the internet kung fu experts.... that was pretty lame... i mean... it looked boring. like the cheesiest performance i've ever witnessed.

  • needs for sound effects and badass English dub fight dialog

  • Niccce

  • I love the comments that come from those internet kung-fu expert keyboard thugs(IKFEKT). Bad ass comment with no action.....

  • i like that hold 1:08-1:10

  • i would beat the shit out of both these guys

  • UGH SUCH BULLSHIT.

  • hahhahahah

  • for those that dont know this is not a real fight its a demo, if these guys were trying to hurt each other it wouldnt look like this, you know, it probaly would of been alot less rolling around and alot more bloody its kool though

  • very poor fight guys, bad balance, too many limbs flailing around, and attacks don't even look like theyre striking the right places.

If you ask me, needs alot more practice.

  • It's not a real fight, it's a two-man form. You try doing it and tell me it's bad balance, you'd fall over or lose balance after a hop.

  • I'm well aware that its two man form, and because it is a two man form...for first place you'd think that they're be a bit cleaner in their movements since its been rehearsed.and you'd expect at least their kicks would be straight. In regards to me trying it, wushu two man forms give me enough experience to tell a good form from a bad form

  • stfu internet kung fu expert.

  • doesnt take an expert to tell good from bad

  • that wouldnt hurt at all,ffs

  • Slow because it is choreographed.

  • not all choregraphed fights are slow

  • do you guys actualy know how martial arts is , most movies they fight this way , the cam angels is what makes it look crazie fast. this is normal speed

  • um, no it is not this slow, have you ever watched boxing or any combat sport for that matter? they punch and kick as fast as they can manage.

  • not just filming random fights, thats diffrent, its choreographed, and its actualy very good. in a film they would just film from diffrent angels and add in sound effects , and it would apear way better than that, check out me attempting some flim fighting on my channel, theres a few diff vids, check them all out

  • there good after all it is a demonstration and they have great form and technique but at full speed i dont think that itll be even legal to put it on youtube because there would someone with and eye missing and someone else dead because one of them got pissed

  • ahhahahh and what are the ideas in this dance??

  • wow i bet most ppl here commenting on this wish they could fight that well and whats worse is no 1 stops to think what it would be like if they tried and went full speed.

  • bel teatrino.

  • lol why is this so slow come on gosh

  • Slower than my orgasm

  • i like the little neck grab

  • I wanna see an actual fight and not just a spar.

  • ina fight they would both get killed, there slow.

  • Read the info txt. They are performing, not actually fighting.

  • either way in a fight now a adays they would both end up dead cuz u dont know what people know so people brings guns and knives and other objects with them to fights =D

  • Why can't It be like a man to man fist fight. If they didn't bring weapons im sure any thug/gang/streetfighter would be on the ground in seconds

  • why would someone wanna risk their life getting killed by a kung fu master in the street when he can kill them first with a weapon, that is why

  • That is why they're pussy? They should have some pride and honor to not do those things. Wait wtf am i talking about they're thugs. They'd bring all of their cronies along.

  • yup and the kung fu master just lay dead =D

  • Sure man. The kung fu master would deflect the bullet with his fist.

  • yeah but thats the world we live in

  • this is choreographed, idiot

  • i know it is loser, but there still slow, ive seen others like this and this is the slowest by far, and ps shaolin kung fu is the only one worth knowing.

  • its a demonstration...

  • ma che è sta merda! ancora co se cazzate

  • The only way I see a mantis/snake in any of them is when they stand looking at each other, with their fists bent in certain ways. During the actual fighting, it's just plain, really.

  • Only in this performance, in a real life fight, the Snake Style as well as the Mantis are more concentrated on punches and jabs rather than kicks. SoooOoOoOooOOooO yeah

  • mantis rulez

  • gay

  • wah lum vs. smake nice! (breathing exercise shows it's northern praying mantis aka guy with white cufflings)

  • That was wah lum?

  • more or less i may be getting confused but wah lum when done for many years progresses toward these movents (and from the breathing exersize at the begining is what people who do wah lum do). mixture of wah lum and tong long. still im not exactly sure. i still think its wah lum though if not a mixture.

  • Ah, I was wondering because I go to Wah Lum in orlando :p

  • i go in switzerland. wah lum ftw. if not then tong long ftw

  • I didn't know they had Wah Lum in other countries.. cool ^.^

  • sorry but doesn't that sound a LITLLE bit dumb, no offence but the art was made in the northern parts of china hense the name "nothern praying mantis or wah lum" and don't you think they would more schools than just the US? sorry again for calling you dumb i don't know you so i can't judge. but it is good to here that another person is taking it lol.

  • It's alright :p I never heard of it being anywhere else. There isn't much information on the internet about the style :p

  • how is this homosexual in any way?

  • INDEED! an excelent point!

  • thanks...i hope your not replying to the one who said it was gay.

  • nope, rather to someone saying something against it. I like kung fu, hell I learn kung fu!

  • it's praying mantis and snake fist. mantis is the most powerful kung fu and very fast. but when I look at this it's like "stop touching eachother and fight". mantis is stronget but best? I dunno.

  • There is no such thing as a 'best' form anything can work.

  • I never said it wuz best. but maybe strongest. that doesn't mean best.

  • why did this comment get -3 lol ^^ I didn't say anything wrong.

  • There just doesn't seem to be any power behind the movements, doesn't compare with Wushu competitions at all.

  • Many people thinks that kung fu is move like an animal and thats all -.-"

Snake style is base in hit weak point like eyes, joints, etc...

  • ......

Snake wasnt for movies. It be famous on movies, but rly they have a history on martial arts. Exist many variation on Northern, and South China. And many people think that wing chu comes from snake style.

  • snake style has been around since

the late 1800's what are you talking

    about?

  • I actualy think it's Shaolin...not sure on spelling

  • Comment removed

  • Snake and Crane.....good movie but there is no way he invented that.....maybe improvised?

  • According to Jackie Chan, in an interview he gave in Chinese, in the film they just used the forms as a base for the action (for all he styles in Snake&Crane and Drunken Master) and the rest was pretty much made up and, in his own words, was "not even kung fu, it was Jackie, it was comedy" (That's only a rough translation!)

  • Did mantis win?

  • definitely not nearly as good as the demonstration I've seen in China..

  • mantis and snake don't have much difference...

  • i was thinking the same thing.

  • Southern Mantis is actually very different. It's much more upright and stable on the ground with little crouching and fewer high kicks etc. In the vid the guy is doing northern style.

  • the pont of this is to illustrate the movements

any of those hits connecting would have crippled the other fighter, demonstration is that , demonstration. Look it up in the dictionary. good lord.

  • Mhmm, thats the whole point of these martial arts comps.

  • lol

  • lol

Even I realized that because a good strike from She Quan (snake fist) you'd be bleeding or paralyzed.

  • choreographed fighting is lame.... just like WWE...

  • Defiantly.

  • i guess if it was a real fight both of there egos would get in the way and theyd prob hurt each other but cmon i rather see that then this bullshit if yall really like this then all of u can go eat dick haha

  • People have "real" fights without killing each other all the time. The main issue isn't fear of harming their opponent.
