@ktockly i was at an Australian army base on Monday they were showing us their weapons and i must say the did not pronounce it A.U.G they said exactly as he said. As it is their primary rifle i think that is evidence enough.

@aquaagu2 Oh, OK, the AK-47 should be called æk, then, right? If in Russia they call it Kalashnik, why in the West they say AK? But this doesn't bother me at all, you call it however you want.
@bat7j no, AK stands for Automatic Kalashnikov. 47 stands for the year it came into service. 1947. and you say Ay Kay, not ahk like you would with the AUG. ud say it og. their 2 different guns, different origins, with different names. what are you 12?
@aquaagu2 AK stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova the same way the AUG stands for Armee Universal Gewehr, so if you can say Ay Kay, you can also say Ay You Gee. Also, if you really HAVE to use the nickname they use in the country of origin, then you would have to say Kalashnikov or Kalashik. I know that in combat situation you need to say it fast, but anyway, your logic has no point. What are you, newborn?
the gun doesnt have a recoil.. :O steyr rulez!! ^^

The ejection "window" is not too close from shooter's face, in your opinion? Doe's the smoke and the shells obscure the sighting?
