  • I have a 60 in. blade from M.F. fully hydro , i wonder why you put so much labor fitting one. It comes in 54 or 60in. factory made that plugs to your joystick.

  • @vm531934 This unit plugs in just like the factory one also. Plows snow great and my out of pocket cost was A LOT less than a factory unit. I have more time than money so this is what I do......

  • Yeah I just made the same setup for my yanmar 186D it works great so far..I also paid $400.00 for my Johndeere plow . I cant wait to try it..

  • did you have to add a hydraulic piston to make the plow angle, or did the john deer 54" plow come that way?

  • This is great. Did you post a thread anywhere showing how you did this? I'm looking at a MF 1220 with a FEL. I'd like to make something like this as well if I get the tractor.

  • @curdydm No, sorry I didnt document anything, just did it in my spare time.

  • Sweet setup!

  • @99minerkc Thanks!

  • great set-up, where are you? snow is heavy in ohio not the powder of out west. i am looking for 1 commercial type 4x4 tractor to take over for my aging fleet newest being a a 69' mf135 (awesome.) i mow 8-10 acres/wk. we get 48-60 in.snow yr. thanks.

  • I am in western NY, we average 92" of snow per year. The snow plow works perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the Massey Ferguson thats attached to it!

  • yea im up by syracuse we get alot of snow

  • i dont think you could convert and L120 to hydrolic very easly and it would be pretty expencive. i went to a junk yard and got a powersteering pump from a car. i run the pump off of the pto, and i picked up a valve and small cylander from tsc. it works great there is something four you to try.

  • I got a question. Anyone know where to get a hydraulic kit like that??? How much are they?

  • What do you mean by "kit"? The plow was on craigslist ($400) and it came with the hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic lines I bought at my local automotive store. Adapter plate was fabricated. Hope that helps.

  • yea, thanks. What are the specs of that tractor?? I am 13 and have my own john deere L120, and a landscaping business. I was interested in a plow or snowblower.

  • If you have not plowed with it yet the blade is so heavy you will have to hold it a bit off the ground unless the ground is totally frozen other wize you scrape up more dirt then snow or road way! I know I got a John Deere 755 with the same plow you got.

  • I have the shoes set so the bottom of the plow is about half an inch off the ground and it works great. I have used it several times this month with no issues at all.
