i think the casting is pretty good..although nick and sheeni aren't nearly young enough. and sheeni is definitely not supposed to be blonde! i find this detail particularly disappointing, as i much prefer brunettes!(which is the way she's supposed to be) :D

There is no character named "Chad" in any YiR novel - there is also no character named "Chad" in the script. Taggarty isn't in the script either, although she's obviously in the books.

This movie is going to be a letdown, because it obviously can't compete with the book.

Anglicky/English:Have you noticed mow many czech/slovakian comment are there? Almost half of them. And this video is universal, technically there are only names and few words which are in English. If you consider how many people on the world can write there in English or their native languages... It only proves how much is the book favorite.

Kdysi sem psal na stránky CD Payneho, a ptal se zda příběh Nicka je alespoň z části podle skutečnosti a kupodivu mé angličtině rozuměli a odepsali, že něco málo přeci jen je. Taky sem se dočet, že v ČR je tento příběh velice oblíbený a sám autor uznal, že nečekal, že zrovna u nás bude mít takový ohlas...Přeju si aby pokračoval...o Noelovi, 6 díl sem nyní začal číst, ale nemůžu zapomenout jak rychle skončil Nikův deník...

dude totally agree!! not accurate, but Michael Cera has portrayed High school students in his past films pretty well (be it they were seniors, but what can ya do?), so anyway I'm not too worried... but yea, I've read the whole thing too, and I'm pretty DAMN excited!! : )
