  • I have a very fundamental question here. I will be happy to know what people think about it.

As we know in physics - matter and energy are not created out of nothing, but one form passes from another. In our case, we use electric energy to break the bounds of the water molecule, then we burn the Hydrogen (burning hydrogen is essentially making H20 out of H2 and O2) and we get energy to run the car. Aren't we doing the same thing twice water->hydrogenr -> water ? Thus where is the gain here ?

  • ok and now for the obvious question... why isn't this standard?!

  • this is very interesting and i would consider adding a hho fuel cell generator to my diesel van. i have a question though. the h2o formed on combustion, the steam that is coming out, wouldn't this increase rusting and corrosion in the exhaust piping and maybe the engine too?

  • @guy5890 HI, There dose'nt seem to be any evidence of excellerated rust in the exhaust or engine, there have been discussions of long term use with large amounts of hho causing brittlization of engine,There's large truck company's in the states using hho ..doubt if they'd risk their precious rig's to any damage. If you check out the research some people are using as well as a bubbler ..a dryer system to get rid of steam residue.I use same system on vid on my regular day vehicle ..no probs last 3yr

  • My current cell 8"X2" 316l ss configuration is +nnnn-nnnn+ centre neg plate is titanium = no brown gunk : )

  • My original calculations about 2yrs ago were wrong ! as i dont use this van everyday + didnt know exactly its mpg ...this takes along time +many tests ...i can now confirm its mpg b4 hho as approximately 27 - 30 mpg , with the hho it gets around 25% better mpg depending on driving conditions at 13.8 v + keeping amps via pwm to 12-13 amps so that pwm dose'nt overheat .

  • HI,CORRIGGEEN71 very hard to estimate total cost as was working with this over long period +upgrading ..i recon in the region of £250 , so as time has gone by i think it would be very wise to checkout some of the readymade new dry cell options on EBAY available now n save yourself a lot of hassle time & money accessing various materials ,i will personally be upgrading to a dry cell when i get the time & money as these will probably last a lot longer + more efficient than my current system.

  • GREAT VID how much did all the bits for the kit cost ?

  • info note: a pwm will control voltage to the cell ,if you dont want pwm you can reduce voltage by including more neutral plates , there are calculations for this visit HHO INFO site.

  • whats up with the 666 buddy

  • @plumber8484 not sure what you mean ?

  • @flyingdoctorcee what he means is why 6volts? why not 13.8volts and what is the 6 volts running and how to you create 6 volts, and how much does it improve milage thankyou

  • @BlackGoldEstates the voltage to the cell is controlled via a 30amp pulse width modulator ,when cell has just warmed up ..i crank it down to aprox 7amps ,..on long journey's i usally run at 9-10 amps achieving between 25 n 30 % better mpg ,i keep amps low on this system to stop overheating my pwm ,cheers.

  • can you tell me where you got all of the equipment to build the hho thingy, sorry ime dying to build one but do not know where to get the stuff to do it??? thanks, mick.

  • @mickeymerc11 ,HI Mickey, i got most of the materials for this cell off ebay ..best cheapest place ..cell container is a water filter housing..there are sheet metal firms who do small offcuts of stainless steel or cut to size...my next cell is gonna be a drycell design..much more efficient + your'll need some sheet titanium for negative plates ...if u use all stainless steel it produces hexavelant chromium ..wich is carconegenic (toxic not good)..its all about net research...goodluck..FDC : )

  • it sure seems to have a passion for that 'ole 666

  • Hi, i have had no problems with winter running HHO , the temprature only drops below here in south east uk occasionally ,..if your cell is well made you should have no problems !, i dont use this vehicle in winter (transit 2.5) ,but use my mazda bongo van 2.5 turbo diesel ...the cell is well insulated as it is sited near engine wich is beneath the access in the cab of vehicle ,even if you do get a bit of ice in cell it should soon thaw as it warms up...but a good idea to insulate cell !.

  • Hi, and thanks for details! I would like to know how does the HHO sistem pass the winter...I'm thinking to put a HHO on my 1.9D engine to and i'm in Romania where the climate is with four seasons. Also the diesel is around 1,20$/l. I'm driving around 25.000km one year and i have a magnetic fuel saver but not having big results.

  • HI PEOPLE, as i only use this vehicle with hho in the summer months..i have not yet had conclusive results on weekly all year test ,the 2.5 turbo diesel mazda bongo friendee wich i use every day of the year with hho + venturi just b4 turbo intake, has been consistently giving approx 30% better mpg depending on driving style (,i do like putting my foot down) i put 13.65 litres in without hho it does 70 km regular (17mpg ) as soon as hho is hooked on it consistently does 100 km 30% more (22mpg ) .

  • Hi rintsik, the last over 500 mile trip i did ,i had inconclusive results ,as the cell developed a leak ,.....as a rule when working it was getting upto 30% increased mpg.I think i need to build a more bullet proof cell to go forward, also i am not inerested in going forward with a cell that produces carconergenic toxic waste(hexavelant chromium) ..titanium electrodes is the way forward+drycells.

  • hello! What results You have now ?

  • @rintsik last long test summer 2010 =inconlusive ...kept getting leak on cell ..year b4 on a good run with no leaks i got consistently 30% increase ,its very hard to gauge somtimes considering different driving conditions ,but my 2.5 diesel mazda bongo friendee i use everyday , i consistently put 13.65 litres in from empty =3gallons aprox ...=70km without hho...100km with hho ,i use this van every day of the week for last 2 years short local journey's ...alway consistent results.

  • I think there's something wrong with yer engine... it sounds all krunchy and stuff... like you fergot to remove yer tools from inside the engine and turned on the engine anyway... maybe some screws and bolts jiggling around inside

oh WAIT... that's a diesel engine... uhmmm... NEVER MIND, yer good to go...

  • The next mpg test will be with 1 full tank of diesel ,the 2.5 18ft transit motorhome does upto 33mpg in ideal driving conditions, tank holds 15 gallons=495miles, i am hoping for a 30% increase, wich would mean 42.9 mpg. The wetcell in a waterfilter jar consists of plates 2"x8" ...21plates.... -nnn+nnn-nnn+nnn-nnn+ .... all 3 negatives are titanium ...3 positives are 316l 15 neutrals are titanium running at 8v's and 9amps ,hoping extra mileage will be 148 miles..we shall see.

  • i must point out that this type of cell will produce toxic hexavelant chromium(the brown gunk) (not very eco friendly)next cell will have titainium plates as the negative plates.Titainium as the positive will not transmit the voltage.

  • hi people, have not done much on experiment front lately, but the mazda bongo van i use on a daily basis wasnt getting usual mpg gain, i consistantly put 13.65 litres (3 gal) at atime ,usually does 70km to this , checked the cell ....it was leaking..!...fixed it ..and went straight back to 100km..! 30% increase approx....I must point out tho ! in the book it says mpg is 21mpg....i've only ever got 17mpg without the cell,+ i do put my foot down when i can.

  • HI TUBERS,I will be updating mpg results this summer 2010,i dont use this van for everyday use ,only long summer trips of 1000 miles and more, keep an eye out for updates, and good luck with your experiments...!

  • More mpg tests to come in summer 2010.

  • if you found anything helpful here please clik stars for rating, thanks

  • Be good to see the mileage report. and if it runs cleaner- be good if it was emission tested.

  • hi justinjoyit13, these results to come ,just got back frm Glastonbury mpg is looking like 50 to 60% increase!having an emissions test soon .

  • Have you a update on your MPG and Emissions??

  • HI man ! mot test showed not much change in emissions it had 3 tests at hi revs,i think emission is only lowered on low tick over ..as it used to smoke now it does'nt...hi revs not much difference!. i was logging mpg on trip away, journey out got stuck in traffic about an hour all told ,journey back i was hitting 80 n 90 mph, got 29 mpg ,..still good for an 18ft rv. Need to do a more reliable test.
