  • @PringDaddyPring Great comments. Wow!

  • dude ur an idiot

  • @scherboy45 Thanks!

  • Instead of leaving a long comment talking about how you just seem like someone who cant get over the fact that you never made the NHL im just going to say this, I think you could be doing something more productive with your life.

  • @GreasySprockets I get paid to coach hockey at a University and have a lovely family. Does that count?

    Cheers!

  • @TheGoalieGuru As productive, No. It does not.

  • @GreasySprockets I see. Well, thanks for your input.

    Cheers!

Oh, P.S. Whether you like it or not you learned something from my video.

    Take care!

  • For a former goalie and current goalie coach, you seem hell-bent on making all goalies look like amatures who rely more on luck than a lifetime of training. P.S. It's hard to gain respect when you go off and disrespect everybody who leaves a comment on your video.

  • @JrMavs33 I am spreading the truth about goaltending so kids don't get fooled by what they can and can't do as a goalie. Limits.

Also, I NEVER, NEVER, disrespect anyone that doesn't deserve it! Meaning, they disrespect me first.

    Eye for an eye.

    Cheers!

  • ur an asshole i bet u live with ur mom and ur like 25

  • @130randomTV If I got a dollar for every time a child like yourself said "you live with your Mom" I be rich.

I'm actually 44, have three kids, and get paid to coach university hockey.

    Cheers!

  • @TheGoalieGuru ok im i golie and ill admit some saves r luckey but some of ur vids i have 2 disagree w.a. man pce

  • @130randomTV Ok

  • this guy is a fuckin idiot

  • @cannonballjenkins69 He sure is! Imagine throwing his hand into the air like that! Who's he fooling? Oh ya, you!

  • how about you post some of your saves up to help teach ???? so we can see how god like you truly are to have such strong opinions on these guys who clearly all pale in comparison to you.

  • @a100pureplayaz Scotty Bowman the winningest coach never played in the NHL. He told Hall of Famers what to do!

  • holy shit ive watched like 10 of your videos and they are all really shit u must be the worst goalie coach EVER you say that all they are doing is guess work..its called positioning you might want to give all the money back youve gotten from your "camp" because from what you are saying u are teaching them "guess work" instead of positioning. get a life faggot stop critizing NHL goalies because they are better than u

  • @LegitPride Thanks for the comment.

  • goalies are taught to exaggerate a save...it raises our confidence.....lol dont talk about this shit unless you have played the position.

  • @BigShaq434142 I have played the position! I teach the position! I'm just realistic and not a faker!!!

  • Pro Sports is an entertainment business. NHL is an entertainment business. If it looks cool to do that and he can also save it. why not, fans like it, will want to come back and then more money. Who gives a shit if it isnt as cool as it looks, he saved it. Also, no, you havn't faced NHL shots before.

  • @dudecctv If you say that I have never faced NHL shots before than you must be right. I mean who would know more, you, or some of my best friends who played in the NHL.

    Wake up!

  • eh buddy u go face those shots ill bet u will flinch like a little bitch

  • @BOOMBooM1111x I have! I didn't!

    Now have a nice day!

  • honestly dude goalies really only have a few seconds to react to a shot and if u got a problem you get in net so dont crictize on goalies plays

  • ur probably just one of those people who never made it in hockey

  • id love to see you try to do anything that these goalies do. youd look like a complete fool and you just sound like a complete asshole

  • You really hate goalies dont you? Most goaltending is guess work and you dont always realize where the puck is so when you feel it in a weird place you do whatever you do to make sure it stays out of the net! The goalie has no time to actually think about making it look good you prick!

  • @Aggresivesk8er3 Have you ever faced NHL shooters? I have. do you have friends that played pro hockey as goalies? I do!

    You are wrong!

  • @TheGoalieGuru Sure some goalies make saves look a bit to extreme. We all know that. Most saves require lighting reflexes though. If you have faced NHL shooters you should know this. Looks to me like you don't.

  • @Ovechkin1012 You've never heard a commentator refer to cat like reflexes?

Idiot? Nice to meet you too!

  • how many more adjectives are you going to use?

  • i agree, i always wondered why goalies swing their hand after a save but SHIT YOURE ANNOYING!! CRITICIZE THEM WHEN UR IN THE NHL AND NOT AND YOUTUBE

  • ON* YOUTUBE

  • @DQh0ck3y97 Ahhhhhh, shut up rabbit!

  • @TheGoalieGuru did u ever think of this? when he saw lang go to his forhand, he knew he was going to make that motion expecting a high shot, so he threw his glove up on his pads out. langs shot hit him early in his motion. like u said, the speed is incredible. no goalie is gunna stop his motion because he already stopped the puck

  • @DQh0ck3y97 His hand was still in the downward motion, when it hit his glove. Watch again!

  • @TheGoalieGuru i understand what youre trying to say but that was nabokovs plan, to spin like that. watch it in normal speed and look how long it takes from the shot to be taken for it to hit the glove. there is no way in that time a goalie can think "ok i stopped it, now ill just stop my motion"

  • @DQh0ck3y97 Kinda agree.

  • @Ovechkin1012 Another Myth about goaltending. If you have an object in your hand (or glove) and it is insecure and you need to secure it, you would never aggressively throw your hand in a ridiculous manner to maintain it. You would try and bring it in to your belly for security and protection.

I made a video that proves this theory wrong.

  • @TheGoalieGuru omg you fucking idiot... what did you want him to do pull his glove away and let him score.. not his fault Lang shot the puck into his glove...

  • @TheGoalieGuru sure this is true, but thats just how goalies react after they catch it. they make it look cool and stylish. hockey is a finessful sport. its entertainment. goalies with good looking saves and flashy looking styles are sometimes picked over boring goalies that make the same routine saves

  • @classicshameroom That's why I'm teaching people to understand these saves are not reflex saves because the poor kids out there are fooled!

  • @TheGoalieGuru theres nothing foolish about it...... fans like a stylish flashy goalie. fans generate money for hockey club. which means the flashy unorthodux goalie is getting the start and more money over your "better" routine goalie. remember Hasek???

  • @classicshameroom Remember when Hasek when he played for the Sabres the defense first team! Remember when he won the Vezina in 2000/01 with the Sabres and they traded him the next season. The Sabres owners, coaches, and GM's must have crapped their pants thinking how could they replace the god og goalies.

Well...the backup goalie DID JUST AS WELL AND IN FACT THE EXACT SAME STATS AS HASEK!!! HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your a moron...a real moron

  • I bet u suck at hockey and at life

  • @noinfo34 Childish.

  • I absolutely hate all your videos. You're a whiney, sarcastic bitch that complains about NHL goaltending non stop. You sir, are no guru. I'd love to see you in net during an NHL game one day. LOL that'd be funny. Get your whining ass off youtube, it will make the world a better place

  • @SVEEZY17 You really think I give a shit what you think?

    Really?

    Do you?

    Have a nice day.

  • @TheGoalieGuru Well you should care about what I think cuz based on your likes and dislikes alotta people agree with me.

    Have a nice day.

  • @SVEEZY17 Most of the 81 dislikes are people are kids who are haters and missed the point.

    Cheers!

  • hmmmmm thats funny? whats your name? i dont think ive seen ur name on a nhl roster before?

  • @Twom44 Peter Ing

  • aparently the NHL goalies because they are the ones getting paid to play hockey you sit at home making them seem fake

  • @hockeybeast1998 Why does Brodeur have a career 91% save percentage and the NHL average is 90%?

Shouldn't the best goalie of all time be miles better than average goalie?

Shouldn't the average goalie have like a 67% save percentage if best goalie of all time is at 91%?

If Brodeur played for Islanders his entire career instead of the Devils and their Hall of Fame defensemen. What would his save percentage be then?

Thomas & Luongo's backups this season have better save %'s than they do! Hmm

  • You're a fucking idiot. I wish I could punch you.

  • @Kewis23 Childish gamer I bet.

  • @TheGoalieGuru nope. and by the way you are no "Guru"

  • who are you to make these NHL goalies to be a fake. Guess what they are the best in the world so can it. They get paid to make the fans cheer i dont see you out there making them do that. And i know i am only in bantam hockey but I know a good goalie when i see one!!!

  • @hockeybeast1998 So who is a good goalie?

  • you're an internet troll.

  • @AcHtUm30 And you are...?

  • your really something ya know that... ur videos make me laugh... so i guess every save a goalie makes is just luck right? oh well i guess thats logical! all players really do is shoot the puck into the goalie...RIGHT!!!???

  • @lolgoalee From the hash marks in on any hard shot. YES!!!

Humans have limitations and reflexes are only so fast. Find me a video of a goalie making a save that he moves his glove a foot to stop a puck from going top corner on a hard shot.

There are none!!! You learn something new everyday!!!

  • @TheGoalieGuru he made the save with his positioning, good for him,,,,and good for you because you noticed. but clearly you don't understand hockey enough to know that nhl goalies aren't trying to put on a show with saves like that...its just the natural movement that comes after you try to block a shot....the additional flare that we see is movement which might have been useful for making the save, had Lang shot the puck higher..

  • you're so stupid!

  • @RuslanMusic You are childish!

  • he did reach out to make this save!

  • WHAT A GREAT SAVE BY EVGENI NABOKOV!!!!!!!!!!! And who ever uploadd this, I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You make it sound as if the goalie didn't have to put in any effort in that save. You just say the player shot it at him, but it's not like he didn't move.

  • @KingsFlyersHabs Oh he put lots and lots of effort into it. To much in fact and that's the point!!!!

  • why do you hate nhl goalies so much how about you go sit in front of the best shooters and make a save

  • Why do people hate you so much for showing them what's really going on. I can't count the amount of time I've had guys door the puck into my glove and everyone thought I made a fabulous save when in really the shooter made the save for me.

  • @alpinestar300 Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you,!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Oh, and thank you!

  • @TheGoalieGuru Ya why else do all teams want to move the puck into the slot if possible. there is a reason that from a young age all players are taught to cover that area, well that and the backdoor

  • that save was sick

  • who wants to guess this guy has never gotten laid....

  • its about positioning you shit!! he had the fast reflexes to to get to the puck. you get out there and make a save! wait your not going to because your shit technique is fucking elmos shit!!

  • @bayareaSharksftw You are right! Thanks.

This save was Superhuman and ONLY goalies in the NHL can make this save.

How did he do it! Wow!!! It's a miracle.

  • @TheGoalieGuru nice sarcasm o_O

  • @TheGoalieGuru

ur videos suck. Nabokov is a world class goalie, he knows what he's doing. Why don't u go show this video to him and all the other goalies u hate on and see what they say.

  • @tys0n90 Never said Nabokov wasn't good!!!

    You missed the point!!!

  • listen he is in the nhl [Unlike you] he can do what ever he wants and guess what he makes most of his saves you only think of the negitives on them'

  • @hockeybeast1998 You don't think I could make that save? He is superhuman or something?

  • So, whats the point of this video? What school do you coach anyways? And why do you think NHL goalies are fakers? Your dreams of being a goalie in the NHL get crushed or something?

  • @hockeybasher74 That it wasn't a c"circus save" like everyone thought it was. It wasn't a shot headed top corner and the goalie doesn't have lightning reflex.

    School: goalietech.webs.com

    I'm living my dream!

  • you just a jelouse loser that sits at home all day and hates on people that actually have a life, you have no right at all to talk like this until you go out on the ice and try, i garantee you would not of saved that shot.

  • @rollerdurbydaughter I coach University hockey. Yourself?

One of the more immature responses I have had.

    Time to grow up kid!

  • while hes in the show and living the dream. your at home, bored out of your mind, finding ways to hate.

  • @bears1941 I love these childish replies.

While I'm making videos proving NHL goalies to very fakers you are hating on me.

    Don't be a hater!

  • I agree 100% quick wouldve caught that puck and dropped it

  • he put his glove in the position where he felt the shot would come. i concider that a excellent save.

  • @classicshameroom I respectfully disagree. I consider it a routine save that should have been made easier with a butterfly technique. HIs technique was unnecessary.

He made this look harder than it really had to be.

    Certainly not a "circus save".

  • shootouts are gambles dude. but making the right gamble to what he did is what seporates the good and the great. acticipating the shot and puting yourself in the right position is key.

  • question is can you put on goalie equipment and do what he just did? answer is NO..stop the hating and keep watching hockey without being a fag critic.

  • You must get rather bored with your life to be doing all of these videos. Especially when you claim it doesn't "consume" your life. Alrighty then. Back to reality.

  • @thefloodexos You know me so well!

I get paid to coach. You?

  • @TheGoalieGuru

I won't bite on your cheery responses designed to entice those who care a bit too much online to throw a smart-ass comment in that you can jump on. So I'll leave you with this: Glad you're a coach. You're a lot better off than some I know.

  • @thefloodexos You already made a smart ass comment to me when you said "you must be bored with life".

I am happily married to a great women, have three great kids, and coach at a university.

I'm not bored, I'm just right!!!

  • @TheGoalieGuru Hope they don't mind how much you're on the computer then. I don't care about your life, or how happy you are. Seems quite obvious that you're proud of it. Great. Everyone already knows that.

And how much stock you take in how "right" you are is a little alarming. I'd hate to see you actually lose an arguement.

  • @thefloodexos I've lost arguments. I admit when i'm wrong. But not with this.

    Confident!

  • @TheGoalieGuru Fair enough.

May I ask why you call the NHL a "reality show"? The sport itself obviously demands a lot from the players. It's not easy. Perhaps just a reference to things perceived rather than the things actually going on in the game?

  • @thefloodexos Just this goalie here in this video making what should be a routine save look for more difficult than it really was.

He is the reality show in what should be series stuff. He's a poser.

  • @TheGoalieGuru Interesting.

Do you believe that most goalies do this? I'm aware that sometimes they do make those incredible snags that deserve the "hand flare" but some of them (like this) are at least a bit of luck.

Also, any thoughts on Fleury? You're the expert here, might as well hear your opinion on it.

  • @thefloodexos ALL goalies do this! Fleury is as good as any, and as bad as any.

  • Relax man. You need a hug or watch a new sport. Getting pissed over shit this dumb makes no sense, pyscho.

  • @SPaoline4302 Pissed off? I love this shit! I also love people like you who think that opinions on a small subject matter like goaltending in hockey dominate my life. You know nothing about me. So don't name call like a child, and don't assume you know the type of person that I am.

So you relax! Don't be so ignorant and say childish crap that isn't true you slanderer!

Cheers, and enjoy the rest of your life!

  • Jealousy gets you nowhere, dude...

  • @SPaoline4302 Oh I'm jealous alright! Really, I am.

If I could go back in time I would flop around lust like this beached whale in the video above. I wouldn't let my goalie coach who told me that making saves look as easy as possible shows that you are more skilled.

The shot above would have hit me in the belly button, and the crowd wouldn't have thought much of it.

    Jealous? Fucking right I am!!!

  • your a fucking idiot when the puck is moving that fast you cant see it but you can tell where its going from the stick. don't talk about things you don't understand it only makes you look stupid

  • @tob384 Not the point of the video!

Never said a goalie couldn't anticipate where the shot is going!

By the way, it's 'you're' an idiot not "your" an idiot!

    Who's stupid?

  • Funny, being a goalie, to actually keep up to speed with players hands in the NHL is crazy, he didn't "shoot it in to his glove" Nabby is smart enough to play the projection of the shot (like any decent goalie is taught) and he flails out like that because after you stop that and you know you didn't catch it, you don't know where it is going of the glove. It takes a lot of momentum and speed to slide like he did after that. Please tell me when you're in the NHL.

  • @SmsHockey Wow!

  • you are a total cock bag

  • quit making videos douche baag.

  • There's one fundamental issue I have with your videos: goalies read the shot off of the stick from in tight, NOT from the puck itself; this is because, as you have correctly stated in other videos, the puck is simply moving too fast.

Take this example: Robert Lang's body language SCREAMS, not only shot, but shot to the glove side. Does this take an amount of guesswork? Absolutely. Does Nabokov unnecessarily over commit? Yes. However, It is incorrect to state it was a stab in the dark.

  • @WTFprodigy12 I have 549 subscribers. So, I'm not the only one!!!!

By the way it's YOU'RE, not "YOUR the only retard"

Just a little grammar lesson for you.

  • Hey can I see a perfect example of a goalie? Such as yourself? maybe..

  • @ztsk8jeremy Hey can I see where it sais that goalies are untouchables and we are not allowed to tell the truth about them?

  • What NHL team do you play for?

  • And the Award for biggest fag goes too..... TheGoalieGuru. Cocky SOB

  • @DJSNBCanada Fag? Grow up child.

  • shut the fuck up u try making that save

  • @snakebite1101 No way, that was impossible!

    Wow!

  • also, /watch?v=13FnJwlUCcg

    Go fuck urself

  • its still a good fucking save and u would GET RECKED BY ANY NHL SHOOTER so stfu. ur videos make u look like a fuckin idiot.

  • I must let the world know these guys are fakers!

  • @TheGoalieGuru dude do you even play goalie? epic freakin fail, learn the position. if you were doing a split to catch, you'd roll too.

learn the position before calling out how bad the PROFESSIONALS are

  • @charlie12345610 I would have gone into a butterfly and made the same save with less effort.

  • @TheGoalieGuru no, you think you would. if you were in his situation, i garuntee you would have done the same thing

  • @charlie12345610 Tell me why a butterfly wouldn't have worked here.

  • @TheGoalieGuru it would have gone over his glove and shelfed it, or hit the crossbar and missed. to get his glove that high, he would have had to do the roll over, and had missed his poke check attempt so it was desperation.

and who says goalies cant be funny or cool every now and then if they know that theyll make it work?

  • @charlie12345610 It would have hit my belly button in the butterfly.

Where have you played and coached?

  • @TheGoalieGuru yeah if you jumped!

  • @charlie12345610 What are you talking about?

The puck entered his glove a foot from the ice!

  • @charlie12345610 I guarantee he would have missed

  • I personally agree with your point in this video, but I also think that there also may have already been some upward momentum, thus causing him to throw his glove up in the air. And just to let you know, you don't have to nit pick clips like this; they play there style and that is why they are in the NHL

  • are you just mad because you cant make it in the show or something? Do you even play goalie? You sound like a complete douche your ripping on an NHL goalie who is somewhere you will never be. Do you even understand the concept of goaltending? positioning is the biggest part of playing goal. get bent fucker.

  • @puckboy508 Another person who misses the point! I love the irony!

  • he reached his glove out to make that save

  • @hugeballz6969 At his ankle it hit his glove and then the circus came to town!

  • another point of view is he was just dropping his hands knowing and "reading" the shot was going low since he dropped first and put the glove there AND THEN the puck went in..but think wat you will

  • @hockygoalie3031 Yes you are right! He did read it, but again my point is he added the bullcrap flare at the end to fool people into thinking he stopped the puck up high, not where the puck really was, at his ankles.

He fooled the announcer! It was hardly a "circus save" once we break it down. the announcer thought it was a great arm reflex save and it just wasn't!

  • so while you do make some good points in ur videos you need to realize that being a goalie is all about positioning. they anticipate where the shot is going to go so like for this save he was in position for it. this shot was made from 7 feet away and there is no way for a the goalie to see the shot being made, anticipate where it is going and react to it in about .3 seconds.he was just reading the play and what the shooter was doing. and of course it went right into the glove, then itd b a goal

  • Man you must hate these goalies for being good.....

Even if you are right and he is showboating it just means that he has even more superhuman reaction speeds. Think about it, he has to register that the puck is in the glove and he made the save, decide that he wants to show off, and then finally start the motion of kicking his legs up in the air to complete it...all in about a 10th of a second!

    I don't think so man....

Maybe you just admit that it was a sick save and stop these silly vids.

  • @kenkidder Seriously? Superhuman reactions?

    Wow!

  • Lol...I love these videos. It really puts things in perspective...

  • @TheGoalieGuru You don't have to be sarcastic and say that he did it on purpose but I do see the point. And good eye to see that.

  • @jakekisabeth You are right! It just makes me mad that he is a faker!

  • ive seen like 3 vids from this same guy and he is one sarcastic know-it-all. I can

come up with witty commentary too but i dont feel the need to put a video of it up on YouTube

  • the goaltender anticipated where the puck was going to go thats why his hands were going down you douche sack. i realy dont think you have ever put a pair of pads on or ever been in front of a goal net

  • "Guru" is smurt! I wike his wideos!

  • @ayalasc84 I have 540 subscwibers who wike me too!

  • Are you a goalie that had a dream oh playing in the NHL or something and you were not good enough so now you watch every goalie in the NHL and try to make them look like shit?

  • I think when Marc Andre fleury made a few saves like that he had to actually bring his glove up to make a really nice save you make a video of that I would want to see if when fleury made a save like that against the lifting in the playoffs last year if the puck was shot into his glive

  • @TheGoalieGuru If you had mentioned that the announcer was wrong and it wasn't amazing more people would have understood the point of the video. Before I thought you were saying that it was bad goaltending and that it was good at all.

  • You clearly know nothing about goaltending, no shit he shoots it into his glove, but you failed to mention that his glove has moved... Please stop, your a disgrace to real goalies.

  • @antagony98 You clearly missed the point of the video!

I was just making the point that this save was not great like the announcer said.

    That's all. That's the point!

  • @TheGoalieGuru

When he went in to butterfly it went down then it had to go up to make the save and momentum carried it over his head. And yes you are the stupid one.

  • *vids

  • Take it easy dude your awful defensive for a critic. Nobokov wasn't being cocky he just used a technique that you don't teach. I saw a couple of you other bids that I actually appreciated about luongo's stick work and price's foot position but this vid and a couple others you really sound like a dick IMO. Stick to the objective analysis and not the condescending mockery and you'll be considered much more professional.

  • @txxdubs Good and fair comment! Thank you.

  • Thumbs up if Nabokov is better than DePeitro! I hate nyi but he could make them a good team.

  • @TheGoalieGuru

You are so stupid he moved into the shot and moved his glove up fast and swung it over is head because of the momentum and then rolled over because his right leg was under his left lef.

  • @jakekisabeth MOMENTUM!!!! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

THE GLOVE WAS GOING DOWNWARDS, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN SO THE MOMENTUM WOULD HAVE GONE...

    DOWNWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    AND I'M THE STUPID ONE?

    WOW!!!!!

  • what's more unbelievable? the "hand speed of these nhl goalies" and their "cat like" reflexes OR the fact that the "guru" managed to pro-create?
