It is true that band started 1967, but guys on the first picture after intro aren't TD. It is British group named Kaleidoscope, and picture is from their album titled "Tangerine Dream". I happened to have it and I bought it thinking (mistakenly) that it is TD's early stuff, taken in account that it is published 1967. Music on that album is good, though, but it has nothing in common with early TD.
There is actually another band from the US with the same name Kaleidoscope, it showed something about woodstock and them playing there. They both seem like pretty good bands. That picture actually was advertised on a site that said it was Tangerine's Dreams album with that name, and the one blond haired guy looked to possibly be the younger version of the blond haired guy in Tangerine Dream.
Oh well, can't fix it now, maybe since they were all around the same year maybe they knew each other. Before Tangerine Dream was electronic, they played rock I believe.
By the way, I had the same impression of that blond guy.
I think maybe Froese was inspired with the title on Kaleidoscope's album. To me it is more plausible then legend that TD got their name after verse in Beatles' song "Lucy in the sky of diamonds".
can i enquire why the Clockwork Orange film poster was used in this video, because TD didnt do the music for CO, that was Walter Carlos.

I am absolutely AMAZED by how many people on Youtube have the artist name wrong for this song.
the artist is NOT Tangerine Dream
the artist name is Trance[]Control a trance duo from sweden.
YES, it's not a typo, leave those two funky square brackets in between the words Trance & Control.
mystery solved..
