I dont agree with this ruling either. Lets consider another senario. You pick up your 10 year old's friend from school. You ask him to put his seat belt on, and he does. During the trip, he unclips the belt without you noticing and 2 min later you have an accident. His injury is due to not wearing his seat belt. Had we worn his seat belt he would have been ok. Is it right that his parents now sue you, even when the child ADMITS he was told to keep his belt on and didn't? The kid is 10 not 2.
