  • Bravo! Simplesmente maravilhoso!

  • not bad it's fast...but I know it slow

  • Your technique Is Comperable to when I was Young, I was a genius but I never respected my elders and eventually my Grandma died . That day I swore to forever respect my elders and those older than me and since then Ive become perfect at my craft . Hopefully James someday you will become a master of your craft

  • Heavenly...superb!

  • You,ve got a force and generouse temperament! I like it ! Bravo!

  • my favorite saint saens on youtube... good job.

  • Too fast, just literally throwing phrases away,

  • I am surprised that you heard phrases at all.

  • its only because i know this peice very well that i can make them out,

  • May be you are too used to hearing it played slow.

  • Doubt it, i hear it alot where i am.

  • great musicianship.

  • I know! He's one of my favorite Youtube cellists. Did you hear his Rumanian Dances? If you didn't ,go listen to it. This kid is a natural.

  • I think that the recording may be responsible for the slight lack of clarity throughout the piece. Or maybe my speakers are just fuzzy o.o?

  • Yes not saying that it wasn't a wonderfull performance. Only ment to say that it was a bit hasty for my liking.

    Great job!

  • oh man ur amazing i play cello and im not nearly this good

  • Ich liebe diese musik ich mag sehr wie du spielst, Boris!!Weiter so!! Grandios!!

  • First of al i must compliment on excellent play but i do think you rushed the piece quite a bit to much to the point that it disturbes listening quite mutch.

May i ask how long you have/had played when you performed this video.

  • does it matter how fast one chooses to play? each person has his or her own interpretation of the same piece hundreds of other people may choose to play. in my opinion, boris did wonderful in making this concerto sound exciting.

  • ooooh good! you gave me the chills! i loved it!!! i love this piece SO much!!!! someday i want to learn how this play this, and i hope i can play it and perform anywhere as awesomely as you!!!!

  • Once again u, Boris, prove ure superior skills on the cello. Bravo! Keep goin! :D

  • Bravo!!!

  • What cello do you play on?

  • Supposedly Alessandro Mantovani, 1857

  • BRAVO! Great Performance!

    Kalin Ivanov, Cellist

    New York

  • I would like to meet with your teacher!!!!!

  • Ohhhh God!!!! you keep giving me surprises!!! this is great. I'm 19 and I started playing the cello 1 year and a half ago. And every time I look to your videos I just blush, hehe. Where do you study???

  • wow! wat a great experience getting to play with an orchestra young! im 14 too but i havent gotten the chance to play with an orchestra yet. how long have you been playing for?

  • well done!!!!

  • very virtuoistic playing.

a splendid combination of technique and individuality.

  • Bravo Boris!!

  • interesno mi e koi e uchitelia kusmetliia da ima takuv uchenik.Kakto kazvame v bg iunak chakam i edin elgar v skoro vreme

  • Pishe vstrani pri kogo ucha. A Elgar mi e gotov, ama niama s koi orkerstur da go izsviria zasega :)

  • The cadenza's boring, lol.

  • Ha-Ha-ha, Gilles Apap is unsurpassed in making up cadenzas :). This concerto has no real cadenza, though.

  • true, very true.

  • You're real good. I favorited this video a while ago because I wanted to find a recording of a song someone at my highschool was playing. Es genial.

  • Thanks Boris, great sound and big talent!!!bravo

  • congratulations, can you see my videos?, I´m Santiago cañon and I´m 11 years and I have some videos in youtube

  • It's fast, but that's cool. I take it slower, but mainly because I think I'd get my co-ordination mixed up. This is great great. well done.

  • Bravo,Bobi! Prodaljavai vse taka napred i nagore i pokaji na celiq svqt,4e i v Bulgaaria ima talantlivi deca!Jelaq ti ot vse sartse mnogo zdrave i uspehi:))Proud to be bulgarian!

  • It's really amazing... How long do you play cello every day? (excuse me, I'm french, I don't speak english very well;) )

  • In school days no more than 2 hours, otherwise - 3 or 4.

  • I've registered just to be able to say BRAVO, BRAVO! Boris, you have a huge potential! Wish you luck!

  • Everyone might also enjoy the few videos that are up of the 9 year old cellist Daniel Hass.

  • Oh, yes! I think I've commented that one!

  • It's not fair to compare Oliver (who was 11 in his Saint Saens video) and Boris, who is 14 here and playing with a much better orchestra. They are both excellent musicians and have very very different temperaments. There is no need to make judgements and compare - why not just enjoy both?

  • I can't agree more! Comparisons are simply irrelevant. There are so many talented musicians out there!

  • Boris, you play FAR better that oliver :) I don't think oliver will liberate his music from his technique for many years, whereas you clearly have an innate ability to do so.

  • Splendid !

  • Bravo! qhecue out my videos ok?

  • A perfect interpretation.

How old are you, and how mach time had u exercice this pice?

  • I'm 14 - it's on the title:)I gave it a month of practice, just to brush it up before the concert, but it was already in my repertoire.

  • damn, this sounds like a professional recording. Aweseome job

  • better than Oliver, the other 13 yr old cellist

  • That's not a fair comparison! Oliver was 11 in his Saint-Saens video and Boris is 14 here...

I think they both are superb musicians and both have unique and great talents...

  • Of course you can't compare them. Boris has guts!
