The best part of the movie was the intro. The SS Antonia Graza was very well done. It's very realistic, and it makes you feel like you're really there. 1962, the dance floor, the music, the warm summer air gently blowing in your face as a steel cable swiftly and not-quite-so gently slices you in half. Definitely a great era, and a good time to be four feet tall.

This multimillion dollar film is seriously ridden with the most stupid bloopers I've ever seen. First, the song "Senza Fine" sung by an ITALIAN singer (Francesca) with an absurd English accent. Come on! Then they mispelled and misrepresented all signs and documents aboard: "cabina DI capitano" should be "cabina DEL capitano" - "viaggendo solo"->"viaggia da sola" - "veleno di attenzione"->"Attenzione, veleno" - "ponte di piattaforma alta"->"ponte di passeggiata" and so on. Pathetic and cheap.

Oh do stop moaning, here is an intersesting fact, the ship in the film is a CG replica of the Andrea Doria which collided with a ship called the Stockholm in the mid fifties, in the first instance of the disaster fourtynine people were killed almost instantly, a bit like the cheese wire. OK I stil laughed!.

@legodude9078 Do yourself a favor and don't watch this film (of course, up to you). Despite its potential, it's not good. Go to "Ghost Ship Massacre (massacre only - no spectators)" and you'll find the other bit that shows the rest of the passenger's and crew's demise. Mine is just the meat of it, I'm sure on another channel you'll find the version illustrating the two people watching it as as flashback. I've cut those small inconsequential pieces out and left only the massacre itself.

@chitoryu12 yeah the scene is totally unrealistic :/ for starters the passengers would like get "pushed" instead of cut, as the wire wasn't that thin. second even if it were razor thin, they wouldn't stay expressionless like that (being cut in 2 must be rather painful, no ?)

and even if a super-strong laser were used, the bodies would not remain "whole" like that for so long, unless they stood perfectly straight. the guy's arm at 3:49 for instance would fall off immediately

Yeah, not many wounds usually have the pain set in late. Generally a bullet wound (if you're pumping with adrenaline) will feel like a thud or slight sting until the massive pain sets in, but this is a rough hit that comes suddenly when you're totally calm and relaxed. I'm guessing their midsections would feel like they swallowed a grenade.
