Never mind that the whole point of the book is to present evidence of the ever escalating trend of using values issues, such as abortion, to trick working class Americans into voting against their own interest despite no progress ever actually being made on those issues (when's the last time a Democrat tried to ban all firearms? When's the last time a Republican really tried to get Roe vs Wade overturned? Yet how many Republicans run on guns and abortion?).
