One of the troopers steps on it as he comes down the stairs, it sparks and wounds him. This also makes the vacuum cleaner become their enemy for a short period.

I think the others rush to help him and it carries on from there...

Yes, they switch to knives. See Anna Navarre around 3:50. In this recording I forgot to make sure Simons had exhausted his rounds which is why he kills me at the end. If he'd had a knife I'd have been able to lock him in the cupboard properly.

You need the right version - 1.12f fixes the bug, so you need an earlier build. I use 1.04 for this and have a separate install upgraded to 1.12 for the Malkavian Mod.

That's what makes the game so linear. You can't choose to keep working for UNATCO. At all. You have a flurry of choice, but what difference does it make if you can't make the ones you really want to make? JC could have continued to believe he was working for a great agency and that his brother is a terrorist.

Its an FPS game with RPG elements, but that's what made it epic. They advertised the game with endless choices to make, but you have to go with being a terrorist yourself. That, IMHO, sucked. I woulda liked capping Paul in the face personally after waxing Tong in Hong Kong.

Also, Invisible War sucked because it was so...non-canon. It would have been great if it asked you what you ended with in DX, or if you could import clear data saves to give Invisible War a push in the right direction.
