"Sylvester? Sylvester, is that you? There's a whole fortune in cash - and you can get it before anybody gets it - but you've got to listen and do exactly what I tell you!"
"Sylvester, don't talk, just listen!"
"...and will you shut up and listen so I can tell you what happened?!"
Very cool! My favorite part(s) of the movie are the scenes with Sylvester..."Whoaa! Youre buggin' me man,,,oooo Im gettin' bugged!" I often pop in the disk just to watch Sylvester and roll on the ground!! Thanks for the post.
I like to watch bikini-clad Barrie Chase bopping around in those scenes. What a body that girl had! But it's an odd performance. Was her character supposed to be stoned?
Her character is the archetype 1960s California "surfer girl":slender, well toned, immodest (to be polite), fun-loving girl who's head was always on at least a slight buzz from either too little sleep, a few beers or a few drags too many. Yes, pot was used early on by the jazz-loving denizens of the beach community, of which Sylvester and "Baby" represent here, although in the scene where "Baby" is smoking on the bed she is clearly smoking tobacco, not pot.
@Babyhowdy233 Although she was known mainly as a dancer, Barrie Chase gave a pretty good dramatic performance in the original “Cape Fear” with Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck. She played the barfly who lets herself get picked up by the brutal psychopath Max Cady (Mitchum) and lives to regret it.
Yes, you're right, and that was surely a difficult role. She was also pretty good in that episode of "Bonanza" where she plays the saloon girl who dreams of being a ballerina.
yeap that is one of my favorite movies, i know we must be in the same generation watching this movie late at night, as kids they repayed it alot in the 70's
