  • that betta looks very happy

  • Lucky boy, how is he doing? Do you still have him?

  • I am so happy to see a happy betta. Heater, filter, 10 gallons of water. I love it. Btw you could get him a golden apple snail, that way simsrule347 might stfu and go play his sims game.

    Like!

  • Hey, did you cycle this tank? i got a new 10 gal tank i was wondering if i have to cycle it and all of that stuff

  • @DARKrusty5371 It happens with every tank. some people just wait to put in their fish later for their health

  • im glad you bought the betta:) i always feel bad for them seeing them in those sad plastic cups.

  • I have an extra 10 gal tank and I really dont have room to plug in a filter can I just keep a couple female bettas in it with 20% water changes every week or anything elese I can put in it thanks

  • I have that same tank and hood. Did you get that from wal-mart by any chance? Because I did! lol Although I replace the filter with an Aqueon. Way better! Anyways, my real question is, what kind of light bulbs are on that? The ones that came with mine glow yellow, which is okay, but I'd prefer the white glow and actully see the colors. So yeah, what kind of bulbs are you using?

  • I really don't like the blue plastic plant in there(I'm a purist!)... but other than that it looks really good. The fish looks happy!

  • Looks like you have the same Tetra HT10 water heater as me. That thing works great. Betta is living the high life that is for sure :).

  • Hooray! You actually give your betta some space! Awesome!

  • @MegaPlanelover If by happy you mean fighting until one of them is dead, then you're probably right. Bettas are called fighting fish for a reason :P

  • The goldfish tank that my sister has (she's 6 years old... does not take care of her fishies, and she has that big tank even thought she doesn't deserve it... but the goldfish do...) has the blue plant in your tank and one of my male bettas tank has the green one.

  • whats that loud noise in the backround?

  • my sister has a ten gallon tank for her goldfish and when seh gets a bigger one i get that one YAY ME

  • Awesome tank! Might want to baffle the filter though, it looks like hes swimming against the current alot. ^^

  • 1 weeek ago i got a 10 gallon tank for my gold fish and i puted a betta in the 6 gallon tank :)

  • me too i cant stand see ing bettas in little cups i only saw like 3 female bettas in like this 4 gallon tank at petsmart nice betta by the way and ima make a vid of my gold fish they use to live in a 2 gallon tank for like 1 month so i got a 6 gallon tank and ppl might think its still small but they are very happy

  • that is awesome

im glad you think the same way i do because they look sad in those 1 gallon tanks by them selves

my betta surprisingly lives with 2 rainbow shark i thought they wouldn't last

  • nice tank but I would put some nice real plants in there instead of plastic, it looks way better, keeps your water clean and your betta wont rip its fins on them

  • nice tank he looks happy

  • dude bettas like small aquariums

the most you should use is a 5 gallon

    at least he looks happy

  • @austipastie Dude, you're wrong. The bigger the tank the better. You can have a betta in a 100 gallon tank and he'd be fine! Give him a little cave to hide in when he's scared and he'll be the happiest betta around! There are many myths about bettas and that is one of them. Bettas can live with other fish, depending on what they look and act like...Betta males shouldn't be kept together, but betta females can be kept together in a group larger than 6. Don't give false facts.

  • @austipastie

how the fuck would you know if they like small aquariums? Are you a betta? I didnt think so.

The bigger the better for bettas, I wish I could keep mine in 2 10 gallons tanks like that.

  • @MrDankPurp420 oh what would I do for some purp right now ;) my dude is out of town.

  • @austipastie lol what? who told you this someone at a petshop? betta fish will live in any enviroment as long as the water is mostly still and planted.

  • @austipastie dude, I've seen bettas in fifty gallon community tanks just as happy as ever. There were two, a male and a female, and they both lived for four and half years. Betta like MORE water, not less. the key is long, not tall. Go and do a little research, the internet is a great place to start. Get on a betta forum, and then go start making comments on other people tanks. Before that, you kinda just look silly.

  • Ha ha, he's doing laps! XD

  • that's nice!

  • different fish same heater though lol

  • i made some vids on my betta too!

  • could i put neon tetras with a betta in a 10 gallon?

  • yeah

  • ....Not recomended because neons tend to nip at bettas fins...But you could try and see if it works out..

  • got to give u props cus u got a big tank just for that little beta fish .....nice tank ... btw i got one to

  • i have the same exact tank but has better decorations and is home for 2 bettas

  • i have the same exact tank

  • i don't like the decoration...........

  • That betta must be happy :D

You can get companion fish for them, cuz they dont really like to be alone, just dotn get another betta.

We have some Harlequin Rasbora's with our betta,

  • i rescue bettas everytime i go to petsmart. i feel so sorry for them. plus i barley go there. nasty store.. i have two

  • its nice to rescue but u purchasing them will encourage the store to get more

  • why would i want that so they can tourture them! no way!!1

  • Your betta looks really happy, but if i where you id put some other fish in with it. Thats just my opineon tho, you do what you want, mind you im saying all this and this videos like ages old.

  • it great to see a happy beta swimming around his spacious tank :D

  • i think it's a exaggeration to say bettas need 3 gallons.1 gallon is fine!

  • I can't here "King of the Hill" in the background of this one. Betta looks happy.

  • Simsrule is a goddamn idiot To simsrule: Bettas need: ATLEAST 2.5 Gallons (5 recommended, myself i go with 10) Filtration Heating Water (duh) Large surface area of the top of the water; air breathers Bettas are kept in small jars b/c: They can breathe air Males fight and u cant effectively hold more than one in a tank They originated in rice paddies bodies of water- shallow(knee deep) but fucking huge, and not dirty, just low in oxygen Okay thats ur debriefing, now go play in the traffic.
  • alot of people say that beta fish like being in small places. the truth is that beta fish can SURVIVE in small places, it doesn't necessarily mean they like small places I put my beta fish in just as bid of a tank as any other fish. Beta fish also like lots of plants in their tank. =3

  • A one gallon to two gallon tank is probably the best choice for a beta fish.

  • @Cutecherries1441

I agree I got my Betta 5 YEARS AGO!!!! Wanna know how big his tank is? 10 gallons! Wanna know how many plants? Six! Don't listen to those people your tank is AWESOME!!!!!

  • You must be really bored dude...serioulsly. You're wasting your breath. I bought the tank because I wanted a fish tank. I bought the betta because I felt sorry for it sitting in tiny plastic cup at the fish store..im happy...the fish seems happy. Stop complaining about stupid stuff.

  • i aggree 100% that guy just showed how stupid he is also feel sorry for the bettas in the shops its good that you bought him he looks 100x happier than the ones in the store you and your fish take care. ; )

  • put a pleco and show us a vid

  • oh and i forgot i have them together

  • @skimstr don't listen to the troll simsrule347 he's an asshole lol I feel you dude

  • @simsrule347 These type of fish are given too little space. And he has given this fish a wide space for him to thrive and be happy. You should be thanking him for this instead of complaining about something which shouldn't be complained about, this fish looks very happy and why shouldn't you?

  • @simsrule347 you're a moron, just throwing that out there =)

  • @simsrule347 bettas need to be alone! or they fight!

  • @simsrule347 asshole

  • And a 1 gallon filter can handle the ammount of waste a betta produces which is very very little

  • He can put some small tetras in or platys. Most bettas are only agresive to other betttas or heavily finned fish. You also need to worry if the fish you put in with a betta will nip his fins to the body.

  • you know that you can have other fish with bettas you retard and wow bettas are just like any ither tropical fish. If they are a true hobbiest they wouldnt put a betta in a one gal touture chamber >:(

  • @simsrule347 honey no one agrees with you

  • Woah mine looks exactly like that but i like ur plants and stuff :D

  • I have the same fish tank as you! But your's design looks better than mine! :D Nice to know that people like you care for their bettas! :D

  • You can get dogs for free. Doesn't mean they're not as good as the ones people pay for.

People keep tanks for different reasons. For many its a decoration or something nice to look at, but for others, its a home for their friend(s). Sure, a betta can do fine in a smaller tank, but if you've seen one in a five or ten gallon, you'd know they obviously like the room.

  • it doent matter the price of the fish its like sayying a £2 (about $3) being kept in a 30gallon they need space to swim

  • Most fish do not cost as much as the set-up.

  • Brilliant tank and beautiful betta

  • that is a coo betta keep up great work

  • Aww. What a cutie! (:

I have my own betta. He's in the Eclipse 5 and my filter also broke! I went out and bought a Tetra Whisper, though, and he's loving it. The Tetra cleans the tank much better compared to the filter the tank came equipped with. (:

  • how do you turn donw the filter i dont get that ??

  • its only on certian filters, when u turn it down it means ur turning down how powerful it is.

  • my oscar ate my betta.

  • Why the hell did you keep an oscar with a betta???

  • Get a different filter or at least turn it down. Waterfall ones create too much current for bettas.

  • that is one spoiled betta! shes looks very healthy! He is lucky to have a great owner!

  • nice to see a betta in a big tank for once instead of a cruel little bowl!!

  • bowls arent curel atall , betta's can live in them. But some people prefer to put them in bigger tanks.

  • alex2mitch is dum .

it is cruel to put a betta in a bowl. not to menchin goldfish

  • You'll find i actually know alot more info on fish than you, for for your INFO i don't keep any of my betta's in bowls they are in 5 gal tanks each, nor do i keep my Goldfish in Bowls if you look at my vids their in a 2FTx2FTx1FT tank dumb ass! get your eyes sorted out.

  • How do you call someone dumb, when you can't even spell?

  • pkm032

    its called typing fast.

and me and alex2mitch already worked things

    out.

so shut the hell up stupid ass!

    this is to the Pkm032.

  • No you fuckin' retard. its not menchin its "mention"! typing fast has nothin' to do with that!

  • ya betta's do better in 5 gallons because they cant really move around a 10 gallon tank... they cant really control their swimming.... seems like short tail betta does better because they dont have those massive fins to deal with

  • it wont matter about the size of the tank, but try to clean your tank more often rather then use a filter, cause bettas live in steady ponds no flow because their long fins tend to stop them from swiming in water flows.

  • Nice tank! I'm geting a betta in January (i already have a bowl but saving up for a nice tank during Christmas time lol) and I'm really excited and I hope to get him a big tank- ur betta is very lucky =]

  • u should have bought better fish

  • in your dreams, Bettas are awesome. :)

  • Pretty tank.

  • get a violet goby

  • it looks boring.........

  • aw! thank you for giving your lucky betta so much room! he loves you i know it!

  • What a cool tank, a big one too! Im getting my 2 bettas in 2 days, one is going into a 5 gal, the other a 4.5 gal(im letting the water cycle first before i get them), anyhoo im sure they will be very happy, like your cute fishie!

  • I didn't think Bettas were that Lively. I may get myself a Betta in this 10 gallon tank

  • It's the heater that makes them happy. 70 to 72 degrees.

  • Nice tank!Yea, he is living in a castle now.I am moving my Betta to my ten gallon tank because I just upgraded my goldfish tank to a 30 gallon.I am not putting a filter because my other Betta got his fin stuck in the filter and died last time though.

  • nick music sounds like a fish

  • wow thats crazy a ten gallon for a betta?!...your fish has a lucky owner i only use a 2.5 gallon but im glad you care for him well

  • He is one lucky fish!

My George (betta) lives in a 5 gallon with a plant and blue green gravel. I take good care of him, but i wish i could give him that.

  • I have payed about 80 pounds for my set up thats without fish:o It's not that cheap when i'm on allowance lol.

  • get some tetras or some thing

  • nice.. is that a veil tail?? i think they sell VT and CT at stores.. did his have a crowntail betta sign on it??

  • Thank you so much for keeping your betta in a real tank!

  • Thanks! I can't stand seeing them in the cups at the store. I even picked up an Aqua Clear 20 filter so I could reduce the filter flow to almost zero.

  • @skimstr I'm planning on getting a betta and putting it in a 10 gallon. I feel so bad for them when they're in cups too. The petco I go to takes HORRIBLE care of them. Half of them can't even swim, but you can tell they're alive because they shove themselves up with all their mite for some air :(. I'm going to have to cycle it, but I don't even have water in it yet >=(. I need some ideas for decorating.
