I have two MPC's myself...I see why you have 2...thats pretty awesome, I used to have a 2500 now I have a 5000 and a 3000...The instant Classic and a new classic...
The MPC-3000 sounds miles better than the MPC-2000XL, I have used both side by side in a studio and preffer the sound and feel of the 3000 BUT I preffer the functionality and OS of my 2000XL
it's just that i love mpc3000.... you can do all with the 2500 (somebody say sounds better... i make test and find no relevant differences, maybe kicks sounds a little better)
yeah people dont get its a sampler, its ur samples that make the most difference. the 3000 is classic and i see why people keep it around but if ur just getting ur first mp i'd suggest getting a 2500 or 1000
@YungCyfe My 1st MPC was a 2500, I have a 3000 now...it took me awhile to understand the 3000...but once I understood it I see why people keep these machines
@YungCyfe dont be clueless... those two samplers have different specs.. they WONT sound the same... 3k is 16bit, different converters... not the same dynamic range, not the same resolution, not the same sequencing algorythms... anyone who says the opposite has bad ears or bad ego... whats true tho is that u can make great music out of both... but they WONT have the same sound even if u feed them with the same samples...
@neopandorex2 Hey Neo, what do you think about the sequencer, about the "swing", the power to make tight grooves i want to say: you think is better a classic akai mpc, or some new models? I'm interesting on this, thank's for the answer!
@ModusSollers 3k = highy limitative but good at what it does... if ur ready to invest in something tight on grooves.. go for it... but it wont make a bad drum sound good and itll def make the task more difficult as to crafting a groove (when compared to daw alternatives)... but if u know what u want to use it for... its a BEAST.
it really depends on what ur looking for... send me a pm.
