I think as far as the 5th generation goes, they're going to have a tough time topping Arceus. And referring to CCDDR's comment, yes, the 4th generation games are filled with just distractions. I remember playing Pokemon Crystal and it actually having a decent story-line. The fourth generation is all about catching all 493, as apposed to playing the game.
M'kay... The posibility of a fifth generation is not even close to being over the top. Recalling Clefairy and Deoxys, the space pokemon, it is obvious that they could very easily make a game to take place out in the cosmos, or even take you back to ancient times and introduce a whole new series of ancient pokemon. Again, a fifth generation is not even close to impossible, and is probably in the works as I type this. It's a never ending franchise.

There was an episode where they entered some ruins and released an Alakazam and Gengar, and one of the characters said the items holding them were possibly the first pokeballs. It could easily be done, since the concept itself is way out there, so it is quite easy. And they could easily say that they were wrong about Arceus and make a new pokemon god. You gotta think a little more creatively to be a good creator. ^-^

LOL pokemon is fucked.. They created a newgen pokemon game that had the exact same core gameplay but made it longer, and put in minigames to distract players from the lacking core gameplay. They've made a pokemon for everything in the book, and somethings have been done 3x over. HOW are they going to make another one? Well they are planning on presenting the Return of the Johto league I believe. They are called Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I like it how they are bringing a powerhouse region. I don't think that the games are bad but in the show the Contests can get boring which is pretty much more filling in for further battling and other things.
All the legendaries are gods in their own way. That's how I always saw it. Ho-Oh created Raikou Entei and Suicune so that's pretty god like. They don't do much but protect so that's like their rank, protectors. I always saw Lugia as like the god of the air even though he lives in the ocean. Kyogre is more of a sea god. Celebi is like the god of the forest or the earth. Basically like I said all the legendaries are gods in their own way. Arceus just seems to be the god of gods, like Zeus.

Not really. You see, Arceus is the True God of Pokemon, because Arceus didn't create the world, he created the Universe in the D/P World. Deoxys is AWESOME if you use him in the right way. The best item you can give him is Focus Sash because it always works :D
Mewtwo is also extremely powerfull. All pokemon are good if you use them in the right way. It depends on their moves and the strategy you're using.

Arceus owns Mew. Arceus outruns Mew and OHKO. And have you ever seen and extremespeed Arceus get owned by Mewtwo? And just because Mew was the ancestor doesn't mean he owns him. Mew loses to Arceus in any way. Even without Arceus having a plate. And Arceus can also kill Mewtwo. And wait till movie 12. Then we see how strong Arceus is.
And btw. Mewtwo can be owned as well.

That would not make hims tronger. Ash defeated Ditto's who transformed. This shows that they can be beaten. And Mew still can't learn Judgement and that is the most powerfull attack in the anime. If you would have seen movie 12. Judgement would pwn Mew. And Mew is far weaker then Arceus in the games as well.

Nope. Lugia, Ho-oh, Rayquaza, Giratina, Dialga and Palkia have equal stats to Mewtwo. And the can all beat Mew. In the games Arceus is the strongest cause he has 720 base power. Mewtwo has 680 and Mew only 600. In the anime Palkia transported a whole town to another dimension. I don't think Mewtwo can do that. So Mew and Mewtwo aren't the strongest EVER. Arceus is.

ok i got 5 arceus's *Action Replay* once there LV 100 they get judgement the god move tha only Arceuscan get. the type of plate you put on arceus it gets THAT type so you can teach it that type of move. PLUS somewere in the 80 lvls it gets a move called perish song(in 3 turns all pokemon on the feild will die including Arceus) So My Arceus Would look like...

Well you know how in greek mythology there are a bunch of different gods and zeus is the king of gods? Well Ho-Oh is like the god of fire. Lugia, (or Kyoger) could be the god of water or the sea. Groudon could be the god of the earth, but Arceus is like the god of gods you know? Hes the king god. You get the idea.

Arceus is classified as the "Alpha" Pokemon. "Alpha" in Greek mean Beginning. Gods are the beginning.
You can't rely on things that "may" happen. We're talking about NOW.
I have other sorces of proof, you know. Remember the plates that change Arceus's types? When you pick one up, they have text engraved on them. The Draco plate says "Three beings were born to bind time and space," and since Arceus was the origin

of the universe, it's obvious that Arceus was the origin of those three; Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina (Time, Space, Dimention). The Zap plate says "Two make matter, three make spirt, shaping the world," which, keeping in mind the Draco Plates engraving, means that Arceus used the Dialga and Palkia to create matter and used the Legendary Trio to create Spirt (Not humans themselves).
Arceus is real. There are several videos on Youtube that show catching it in the Hall of Origin.

Arceus is not born from a star. He existed BEFORE the universe was even created. Therefore, Mew and Deoxys had nothing to do with it's creation. (Pokedex for proof)
You THINK Deoxys is from another universe? It's Pokedex entries say nothing of a another universe.
Mew's Firered Pokedex entry states it was a South American Pokemon thought to be extinct. There were multiple Mews, and Gods can't die or be in numbers.
Arceus's DNA was not Mew's creation as Mew did not exist before the universe.
