  • I KNEW IT THAT WAS REAL PEOPLE!

  • FUCKEN AMAZING !!!

  • Amazing, seeing this stuff makes me happy, it's like part of my childhood is back again. :D

  • Grande Daniel Pesina! o Eterno Johnny Cage. O irmão dele, Carlos Pesina, faz o Raiden

  • This is a piece of history!

  • 0:22

  • Este é jonhy cage da vida real

  • DANIEL PESINA ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCKS¡¡¡ but he screwed his loyalty to mortal kombat,it's a shame.

  • I wonder if NRS still has these tapes laying around. If they do they really need to transfer them to a digital format ASAP... then again maybe these got uploaded to youtube because NRS started to go through the tapes and digitize them.

  • só para loucos

  • Muy bueno, gracias por compartir.

  • Pause @ the min 0:16

He is in fight position like in the game. :D

  • after seeing this footage a gazillion times, I now think that back in those days, they had no idea how the game engine was going to be and also believe that the -now iconic- characteristic moves of MK were not yet developed. They were just shooting as much footage as possible and work out the kinks later on :)

    CADÊ A SONIA?!?!?

    WHERE IS SONIA??

    :D

  • Damn this is great.....thanks.

  • I can't stop thinking about this footage. It brings overwhelming feelings. This was exactly 20 years ago. I was just a kid back then. The Internet was in middle ages, no Windows 95, no cellphones, no Google, no Yahoo, no Playstations or Xboxes, no DVDs, no Star Wars prequels, but in an obscure studio probably in Chicago, Mortal Kombat was being created in total anonymity. These tapes represent a small moment in time and no fan should ever forget how those days impacted their lives.

  • dude the internet was in its early stages. The internet quality sucked all the way up to 2002.

  • @potasiu2 wow, I was thinking exactly the same thing!! everything was so magical back that times.. seeing these videos again makes me feel emotional about that... 20 years ago, my god...

  • @potasiu2 ditto, man! nice words. mortal kombat 1 really blew my mind away, it was the first time i got to see games in a different perspective, so much real than the cartoony street fighter 2.

  • @potasiu2 Totally agree dude!!! It's simple fantastic!!

  • DUDE this is extremely rare footage. Unbelievable. 10 years I wanted to be able to see this and I was wondering if they ever exist anymore. It gives me the chills. What format were the tapes? Beta?

  • @potasiu2 i'm downloaded from youtube, and re-uploaded when the originals are removed. sorry for my bad english

  • @joaowilian1

    vlw

  • @potasiu2 Most likely it would have been VHS as Beta was more prevalent in the 80's and this game came out in the 90's.

  • @potasiu2 EVEN B4 BETA.

  • Hmm, well this explains why in the first game the characters appeared to be in low-lighting even when they were out in the sunlight.

  • 0:16 is awesome to see the REAL Cage !
