i have a westie and they are so funny once u pooed in my kitchen right beside his bed and i i cleaned it he looks the opposite direction as if he didnt do it and also when i lie on the ground and act in pain he comes over and licks me i love him and he loves me

theyre hypoallergenic! (i have the worse allergies!!! however, my little jamie doesn't make me itch or cough at all i have asthma also) they're obedient, cute, prone to a lot of diseases though, and very smart. they can tell when you're talking about them cuz theyll tilt their head :D they're the cutest of all!!!!

Hey! I'm deciding between buying a Cairn Terrier or a West Highland White Terrier! I really can't see much of a difference between them but I was wondering if you can give me some info regarding the dog's temperament, and size. I want a dog that wont grow much the smaller I can get and also a dog who is not hostile with the people who come to my house and one that takes orders easily. I don't want an annoying pet. Considering this could you tell me which one is better for me? Thanks!
You have to groom them regulalry, or there coat tends to get abit shaggy. Well mine's does anyway. From experience i'd recommend pet insurance as well, mine has had alot of allergies and has phases where he bites his paw alot. That aside thought they are absolutley brilliant dogs, there really cute and playful, you will really enjoy having a westie as a pet.

I've had Westies for 20 years and none of them has ever caught a disease and the only one that died was 16 years old.
After Katie died 5 years ago I replaced her with 4 Westies:)
Sammy 13, Max 10, Alice and Phoebe both 8...
They are wonderfully friendly, loving and cheeky dogs but you have to be the Boss as some can be stubborn ( if allowed to be ! ) lol

cairn and westie is like the most different breeds EVER!
cairn terriers - black, brown or red colored, different type of fur, different temperament
westie - white, white and just WHITE!
besides, you have internet. you have google, yahoo, wikipedia, wikianswers.

We had one (Casper) for almost 18 years. My wife and I said goodbye the day before Thanksgiving. I miss him very much.
