I'm not sure how I feel about this song, or the title of your album... which my keep me from purchasing it... but I DO love "Housewife" and "Sodashop" and a few others... but hmmm, I'm not sure if I want an album called godd@mned....dang it JAY! Very well said :) This song is so clever and refreshing. It is simply questioning organized religion which in my opinion, is getting more and more detached from "God," "Universal energy," or whatever you want to call it. Only a fool would believe something blindly just because other people tell them they have to over and over again. I think Jay sounds like he could be a spiritual person. I believe it is our duty to question and test things until we find a truth that resonates within us.
I like this song a lot. He's full of good music. I saw him perform live in San Francisco in 2008. He's awesome! Puts on such an awesome show. Really gets the crowd involved and he's super down to earth and friendly.

Very well said :) This song is so clever and refreshing. It is simply questioning organized religion which in my opinion, is getting more and more detached from "God," "Universal energy," or whatever you want to call it. Only a fool would believe something blindly just because other people tell them they have to over and over again. I think Jay sounds like he could be a spiritual person. I believe it is our duty to question and test things until we find a truth that resonates within us.

I like this song a lot. He's full of good music. I saw him perform live in San Francisco in 2008. He's awesome! Puts on such an awesome show. Really gets the crowd involved and he's super down to earth and friendly.

he was reported to be alive? and how The Bible was prodominantly produced well over 1000 years after he was 'born' just as christians were trying to convert England from Pagan society who would have questioned evidence! Christianity also offered another festival to the Pagans which was appealing to them.

He's not being blasphemes. How can you say that, he never took God's name in vain? I think it shows a certain respect towards religion in a very mature way he is accepting god or a holy spirit. Admittedly he doesnt accept the bible, but I dont think I've ever heard or read that it says you must believe everything written in the bible?

i can't believe this song is causing that much of a problem. i'm religious but this song makes sense. doesn't mean i agree with the idea that "no one's coming to save me". but mythology's gods were thought to be real at one point. who's to say that won't happen w/ God? anyway it's a song like it or don't, leave the drama elsewhere

I'm a spiritual person (not that you aren't or are) I do believe in a Messiah/Savior and the hope and Love that G-d gives... But at the same time... I BELIEVE that people do NOT need to just set around until that happens. People need to save themselves in the since of looking after this world and loving one another for who were are. And try to a least bring peace and create a better world... but in the end... we can't do it alone... But we have to try anyway. We just have to. Shalom (Peace)

this is bloody haunting man. the lyrics, the singing, the music..it's all so exotic and it just...sticks in your head, even after you finished. pheww, groundbreaking stuff. haha
my only minor, minor, ever so minor critique is the "her brother tried to rape her" bit..have you tried to belt out this line as opposed to using a falsetto?? i just think it'd sound better.
but really dude, it doesn't matter that was still insanely amazing. i only wish i could write, sing and play like that.
