his legs r so fast, yet it seems his upper body isnt even moving an inch. this is a great example of the intense kihon and kumite training done the proper way.
Bjj and kyokushin Karate have always been my favourite styles :)
I am a Bjj practicioner myself but my father is a black belt in Kyokushin Karate, actually it was more of a mix between Kyokushin and Shotokan but stil, and he trained me when i was a kid so its my second favourite :)
kyokushin kicks aren't from taekyun. Kyokushin kicks are a blend of japanese and thai kicking methods. Yes Oyama was Korean but this doesn't make his martial art korean. Oyama arrived in japan at about 15 with little martial arts training at that point.
LOL Thai kicks?? Then where da fuck did he learned Thai kicks from?? The Koreans had their martial arts kicking before even Judo or jujitsu was invented, dumbass. Learn some history, fucker.
@asadal123 Oyama did not study martialarts in Korea. Oyama was korean but did not learn korean martial arts. This is fact. He learnt Thai kicking methods during challenge matches in 1964 in Thailand. 3 of Oyama's students fought thaiboxers with results 2 - 1 to Oyama's students. Nobody is saying anything about Korean kicking because oyama never learnt Korean kicking. Perhaps YOU should learn some history. You bring shame to the martialarts with your childish name calling and hateful racism. OSU
Oyama learned martial arts from Korean trainers and then moved to Manchuria. He also learned from Chinese trainers in Manchuria and then moved to Japan. OSU hahhahhahhhaha XD Where did Oyama learned Thai kicking from a match??? hahhaha XD
@asadal123 Nobiru Osawa, Kenji Kurosaki and Kaicho Nakamura represented Kyokushin in the Thai challenges. After seeing the effectiveness of Thai kicking much of the technique was adopted by Kyokushin. All Kyokushin students know this. Oyama was 9 when he left Korea and 14 when he arrived in Japan. He was taught a little kempo by a Chinese farmhand as a young child and had no training from any Korean and left Korea when he was 9. This is not opinion. It is fact as stated by Oyama himself. OSU
@asadal123 'The Budo Karate of Mas Oyama' written by Shihan Cameron Quinn. Shihan Quinn was Sosai's English tranlator, husband of Kuristina Oyama (Oyama's daughter) and father of Oyama's grandson. My information comes from Oyama's family. OSU.
Perhaps you can share with me your sources? Which Korean trainers trained him?
"The defeat of Japan and the subsequent indignity of Occupation almost proved to be too much for Mas Oyama, who nearly despaired. Fortunately for all of us, So Nei Chu came into his life at that time. Master So, another Korean (from Oyama's own province) living in Japan, was one of the highest authorities on Goju Ryu in Japan at the time. He was renowned for both his physical and spiritual strength. It was he who encouraged Mas Oyama to dedicate his life to the Martial Way."
@asadal123 Yep thats right. no Koreans taught him in Korea and the Korean who did teach him taught him Goju (karate). Not taekwondo, Not taekeon or any other Korean art. You just said so yourself.
Are you a student of Kyokushin or just some Japan hating racist? If you were a Kyokushin Karateka you would already know about the Muay Thai influence. Be proud that Oyama was Korean, but accept the fact that his martial arts were not Korean. Kyokushin does not come from Korean arts. This is fact
TKD didn't exist at that time. Taekyeon did and was ban in Korea. In fact. Master So was also in Taekkyeon expert in many other books as well. Do you want me to source that as well. ^_____^ Thai kicks?? Can you give me the source then???? Kyokushin does not come from Japanese either (was not even used in Japanese samurai). Karate was an import MA from Okinawa that was heavily influenced by Chinese Kampo. Creater of Shotokan was an ethnic Okinawan, not Japanese. ^_______^
@asadal123 my information comes directly from my Shihans who were students and close personal friends of Oyama and his family. Not from books or other bullshit, but from Sosai's students and friends. I will not name them here to prove a point to some nonKyo, hate filled racist noob. Karates origins have nothing to do with the fact that Oyama did not learn Korean martialarts in Korea as you have falsely asserted. All Kyo students know about the thai influence. If u were Kyo you would too
@asadal123 Koreans have been sexually molesting children long before Japanese, you motherfucker. Korea has a long tradition of parents molesting their children. That's why asadal became a motherfucker and child molester like all Korean male monkeys.
how is tkd a pussy martial art? what makes other martial arts not "pussy" you can't say a martial art is better, that's being biased and ignorant. What if I said BJJ is a pussy martial art because all you do is get the guy to the ground so you won't get hit? That wouldn't be very accurate, nor would it be very intelligent to say.
true martial artists don't need to denigrate others and there habits, especially when Mas Oyama wished that Kyokushin and Tae kwon Do grew together, in the same spirit.
rctsos) comments. He is a idiot dumbass cocksucker who is a real embarassment to Japan nation. True Japanese think of garbage like him as someone who was abused and raped by his fahter and gay freinds when he was young. Please do not think he represents the majority of us Japanese. I apologize that they are so many gay faggot Japanese like him on youtube. I think it is a product of poor family up bringing and a homosexual complex. I am sorry.
And the korean martial art Taekkyun? Taekkyun do is based on both this martial arts. The reason is that it wos banned in Korea to training there own martial arts.
From what I seen most of the kicks were delivered to the shin and knee, that is effective too. But try kicking in those regions to a Muay Thai boxer, I mean they condition those regions like hell.
kyokushin fighters do that aswell, u can still one shot a skilled fighter with a good and placed low kick. if not, after a while you will decrease his movement ability or tko him.
No offense this guy keeps on injuring students he needs more self control, just for the sake of karate doesn't mean you have to get injured, well no one wants to get injured unless their stupid. I mean injuries are unavoidable but one must learn to minimize injuries no matter what art you do.
well u have to know first if he is 4 dan , because if he is , then he mast have gone through a 50 man kumite . he is just great , but i think not time for 100 man kumite ,yet

Thats fucking bullshit. But it's very typical TKD trying to take cred from everything.
Oyama Started with Shotokan under Funakoshi then he moved to goju ryu under So Nei Chu where he achived 8'th dan. He also holds a 4'th dan in Judo.
