When you use the Thrustmaster T-flight stick with this game - or any stick for that matter - the game completely transforms. You really do need a flight stick.

I didn't play the game but from the gameplays I can tell that it has nothing to do with reality or physics, look how you can suddenly move the plane in any direction and it will gladly comply! this is ridiculous..

The graphics look amazing though, I am playing the 1946 version and it seems much more realistic..

@mustang19ms I play 1946, and I tryed this one. On arcade mode you can fly how ever you like, it is hard to stall and the plane is responsive even on stress. But on simulator the plane dropps out of the sky right away if you turn just a little bit to tight. It is pretty realistic on that mode, and with a controller..well have fun kissing that ground over and over. It is a great game, not in the same way as 1946, but for what it is it is great. And on 1946 you can be death proof, realistic?

Is the simulation mode very good in this game? If you compare with the older games in the series where simulation mode were very realistic and you couldn't really do super tight turns when going 500km/h without spinning and having a blackout, is this game the same? The old IL2 is the most realistic fighter simulator game I ever played and it's so fun. But this game seems to have stunning visuals and looks just amazing, but i'm all for simulation so is both games the same in simulator?

I remember trying to land a plane full of holes while playing the first IL-2, almost 10 years ago. Damn, was it awesome or what. This new one is more arcadish, even in "simulator" mode, but still brings memories.

In another sense, being now on console, it may encourage more people to try simulators and break some of the concepts people have. Its a shame the german cockpits arnt modelled though and perhaps, maybe a more realistic online, like some have to fly bombers to Britian under protection and attack would be better then mixed planes fighting?

You can zoom in to al ways you look!!

And there are a training mode on this game... you can fligth al thhe time on al aircrafts... but there options you can use...

I just got my copy of IL-2 (360) and think it's aces so far. While obviously not as technical as the PC versions, it's refreshing to at least see a title leaning toward PC flight sims appear on a console.

that's true if you compare it with the leading titles on PC, but for the console it's a great advance towards more realistic games. That being said I'll let that arcade version of il-2 sturmovik to the casual gamers and I'll wait for SOW for the PC! :) Until then the guys at allaircraftarcade are doing a wonderful job improving il2 1946 with tons of mods. Even when the new game gonna come out, the old version gonna be a great contender.

The Hurricane won the Battle of Britain only, not the war. The SPit did far more throughout the whole war.

Technically the Hurricane didn't win the Battle of Britain in the aspect of dogfighting.

The Hurricanes targetted bombers from low altitudes, where as the Spitfires targetted fighters from the cover of higher altitudes - but the Spitfire did only account for one-third of the kills succeeded in the Battle of Britain; the latter two thirds given to other aircraft, including the Hurricane mainly.

But the Spitfire was the only Britisih fighter in production throughout the whole war.

The latest and best IL2 for PC is 'IL2:1946' : 250 flyable planes hundreds of missions

Storm of War Battle of Britian, the sequel to IL2 on the PC is out on PC only next year.

guess BOP will not come out for PC, it is only for console gamers. If they release PC version then they will conflict with original IL2 sucessor SOW(Storms of War expected to release next year)

The next IL-2 game for the PC will be Storm of War: Battle of Britain. SOW and BOB are not different games.

Storm of War is the series. And Battle of Britain is the first installment of that series.
