@TheMiwaro I hope you're just kidding, lawyers can and will help you. If you feel you're qualified to represent yourself by all means do so, but I wouldn't turn down a free lawyer no matter how well I know the law, a legal consult can get you out of quite a bit of trouble.
@Neyonius "I hope you're just kidding, lawyers can and will help you."
OF course but for a price. But you also do realise that in is in the lawyers best interst to fight thing out in court and make a case as drawn out as possible
Most of the time... the people are involved with drugs can't afford a lawyer unless they are the actually drug lord; not the seller. That leads to two choices, first being your own lawyer which usually land a person into jail, second have the state provide you one, which just land you into jail too... because they are on the state payroll.
I think this is what police want you to do as well -- because if you are remaining silent that means you arent being a smartass or talking back to the cops .. so all the cops have to do is handcuff you and take you to the station.
@badpanda84 Well a lot of lawyers actually do work essentially 24/7 especially if you are in a city. Most have their office calls pushed to their cell phones. But the main thing is to keep your mouth shut until you speak to a lawyer. So if you are picked up at 2AM, just keep your mouth shut until 8 or 9 in the morning when a lawyer should be up. And any offer the cops might give you more than certainly will still be on the table when your lawyer is there.
This guy reeks of "inmate gone straight to make the man pay". Brother gets out, cleans up act, gets law degree. Now he's gonna let the brothers and the others know how to play "the man".
DON'T BREAK THE LAW. DON'T HANG OUT WITH PEOPLE WHO BREAK THE LAW. DON'T GO PLACES WHERE THE LAW IS BEING BROKEN. TURN IN LAW BREAKERS AS SOON AS YOU WITNESS LAWLESSNESS. IF IN DOUBT, CALL THE POLICE.
Tell them you havent eaten for 5 days and will not answer any questions on aan empty stomache.......Then after they let you stuff yourself with 2 whoppers , french fries , omion rings and a super size milkshake , you say.......Im going to remain silent , I'd like to see a lawyer :)
Smartest thing said by anyone interacting with a hostile police officer: "I'd like a lawyer." Don't let them try to fool you into thinking that they can do more for you if you talk to them without one. Anything you can say to them that may help you, you can still say after getting the lawyer and listening to his/her advice. In fact, if anything, it strengthens your bargaining position if you do wind up looking for a plea deal.
@badpanda84 Oh I finished, I'm in University now - I got in on academic scholarship - but that doesn't change my opinion in high school. While I did well in high school, but most of what they 'teach' is useless.

All this crap because they were searching from some punks who vandalised cars (they tried to question me and arrested me 10 meter from my appartment and i was no where near cars since that night parking was restricted. :(
This is all soon to be nullified. Senate Bill 1867 provides that you can be arrested without charge, denied a lawyer and/or contact with courts of law or family, and disappear into a gulag forever, where you can be starved, worked, and tortured.
Once again. If it's not yours, and you don't know who's it is. Why not just tell the truth. The evidence will set you free. This video makes cops seem a little too corrupt. Now maybe in places they are. But not where I live. I've been pulled over. They're very nice, friendly, and courteous, not to mention very professional. It's not always like they portray it in the movies. Where they're always dirty and trying to get the most arrests in a month.
I'm a police officer in the UK and this guy's brilliant. So many of the people I've arrested have waived their right to free legal consultation because they think it implies guilt, or because they think that since they intend to plead guilty anyway they don't need it. ALWAYS ASK FOR A LAWYER, even if you intend to plead guilty or even if you really are not guilty. It doesn't imply guilt and it's not a waste of anyone's time.
Cops are trained to lie to you. It's part of a psychological manipulation technique designed to intimidate and confuse you. That's just one of the reasons I hate cops.
holy shit this is so true. My friend had an ounce of weed on him, we were 14 and we were smokin at a park with about 5 people. when my friend saw the cop he put the weed behind the log he was sittin on. The cops just questioned us, got our names, adress, and phone numbers and told us to leave. We got half way up the street and we saw more lights behind us, they found the weed. Anyway long story short they got us all against the car and interogated us tryin to get us to snitch on someone.
@badpanda84 Actually, they're not legally allowed to phrase anything they say to you as a question after you ask for legal council. do not ask to remain silent ask for n attorney... once that has been said any thing you say cannot be used in court"
LOL that so dosnet work.. If you where charged with DUI and said something stupid like "I'm so wasted but I want to speak to an attorney." that would definetly be used agaist you in court
on the other hand, if it actually is your weed, you should probably definitely just admit it because theres really no defense against finding weed in your pocket and riding out the legal system is going to end badly for you.
@Lkonae If you did your homework correctly you would know that it's fact that blacks are genetically superior to white people. Look at modern day sports and tell me i'm wrong.
@Lkonae For the record, it doesn't matter what colour I am. In fact, I'm part of the smallest minority in the world. You sir, are still a racist prick. Go top yourself.
Hehe. Shut your mouth until you've seen a BAR appointed lawyer who stands behind oath given to said BAR Association. The BAR is part of the same system that prosecutes you. International BAR has roots in the City of London where the Crown Temple Bank is located. It's all extortion under RICO operations. That's exactly what this system is. They set up your only outlet from corruption as being a corrupt means to an end. You're screwed with a lawyer or attorney.
This advice is the best you can get, either innocent or guilty making a statement is not in your best interest, no matter what the circumstance, Do Not Make A Statement...not ever. Be polite in your refusal to speak, but Do refuse, ask for an attorney, and then Shut Up.
@jimtheadoremorrison i didnt mean to imply they were drug users. lots of innocent people get caught in the middle of drug violence, especially down south with all the mexican cartels coming into the states.
The police are armed and retarded they all are overpayed under worked and most of them are fat so fat that they cannot do their jobs so all they got to resort to is brutality or to shoot you becase after 1 minute of work they are exhausted as hell they will shoot you and put that back up gun in your hand. It is obvious that the police are the enemy of the people they are all armed and retarded and overplay they will do any thing to keep thir job even kill you police armed and retarded
incorrect... after you have asked to see an attorney the police has no right to continue asking. do not ask to remain silent ask for n attorney... once that has been said any thing you say cannot be used in court
@strieder11 No, that's incorrect. After an arrest takes place, once they've read you your Miranda rights, whether or not you state that you will remain silent, they can question you all they want, AND use what you say in court. The reading of the Miranda rights protects them from what you just said. The only time they cannot continue to ask questions if if they do not read you the miranda rights after they arrest you.
@donphonica timeee out i said they can use what you say if you remain silent because then you clearly choose to talk... it's when you ask for n attorney they cant continue questioning
@strieder11 "incorrect... after you have asked to see an attorney the police has no right to continue asking. do not ask to remain silent ask for n attorney... once that has been said any thing you say cannot be used in court"
LOL that is not how it works -- did you watch 1:25 in this video..
The police can continue questioning but they can't force you to answer
What is he talking about if you ask to see a lawyer no cop can question you period. When he responded to the one officer that he wanted a lawyer the other can no longer ask him questions. When they get to the station no officer there can ask him questions. When you exercise that right they can no longer question you till your lawyer is present
I wish i knew this, i was forced into a false confession. they didn't charge me and they're still trying to get charges against me. no lawyer will defend me because i was not charged or arrested...
i don't know what to do... i called every lawyer and attorney in the phonebook...
@Th3Ch3m157 That seems obvious but I’ll give you a pointer just the same. Look around at some people you feel are successful, contributing members of the community and society at large and then dress like them. If you can't afford to dress like them then start by at least wearing clothes that fit you. That's a great start. You'll probably still be harassed by the cops once in a while because that’s all cops do but i promise you it will happen with far less frequency. Good luck!
@chemicalsweet13 sooo basically not allowed to be in liesure wear? should i start wearing overalls, w/ a hardhat walk around w/ a toolbox in one hand and blueprints in the other? or wear a suit and tie everywhere i go? how comfy would it be at the beach wearing a suit and tie? or overalls? and what IS your deffinition of a "contributing member of society"?
@Th3Ch3m157 Oh well, if by “leisure wear” you’re referring the “gangsta wear” then no I would definitely not recommend wearing it. I’ll bet if you’re willing to be honest with yourself you’ll admit that your far more likely to be harassed by police when you wear pants that are ten times too big etc. All your ‘fubu’ and ‘roca wear’ serves to do is indicate to an aspiring captain that you’re a damned ruffian looking for trouble and they will be more than happy to oblige.

do not ask to remain silent ask for n attorney... once that has been said any thing you say cannot be used in court"
LOL that so dosnet work.. If you where charged with DUI and said something stupid like "I'm so wasted but I want to speak to an attorney." that would definetly be used agaist you in court
badpanda84 6 months ago
What happens if it is 1am in the morning and you are arrested for DUI ( for instance)
Even if you ask for a lawyer -- when do you actually get to speak to a lawyer-- lawyers dont work 24 hours a day

on the other hand, if it actually is your weed, you should probably definitely just admit it because theres really no defense against finding weed in your pocket and riding out the legal system is going to end badly for you.

@Lkonae If you did your homework correctly you would know that it's fact that blacks are genetically superior to white people. Look at modern day sports and tell me i'm wrong.

You're screwed with a lawyer or attorney.
chop98 9 months ago
This advice is the best you can get, either innocent or guilty making a statement is not in your best interest, no matter what the circumstance, Do Not Make A Statement...not ever. Be polite in your refusal to speak, but Do refuse, ask for an attorney, and then Shut Up.

yeah, don't tell the police anything...gotta keep all those drug dealers on the street and out of trouble, right? i see where your priorities are.
eamonob84 10 months ago
@eamonob84 its about protecting yourself not dealers. and yes also keep them on the streets, everyone needs a dealer. mostly.
jimtheadoremorrison 9 months ago
@jimtheadoremorrison well, when one of those dealers kills one of your family members, remember you said that.
eamonob84 9 months ago
@eamonob84 my family dont do drugs, bita weed maybe now and again. but i was joking
jimtheadoremorrison 9 months ago
@jimtheadoremorrison i didnt mean to imply they were drug users. lots of innocent people get caught in the middle of drug violence, especially down south with all the mexican cartels coming into the states.

The police are armed and retarded they all are overpayed under worked and most of them are fat so fat that they cannot do their jobs so all they got to resort to is brutality or to shoot you becase after 1 minute of work they are exhausted as hell they will shoot you and put that back up gun in your hand. It is obvious that the police are the enemy of the people they are all armed and retarded and overplay they will do any thing to keep thir job even kill you police armed and retarded

incorrect... after you have asked to see an attorney the police has no right to continue asking. do not ask to remain silent ask for n attorney... once that has been said any thing you say cannot be used in court
strieder11 1 year ago
@strieder11 No, that's incorrect. After an arrest takes place, once they've read you your Miranda rights, whether or not you state that you will remain silent, they can question you all they want, AND use what you say in court. The reading of the Miranda rights protects them from what you just said. The only time they cannot continue to ask questions if if they do not read you the miranda rights after they arrest you.
donphonica 1 year ago
@donphonica timeee out i said they can use what you say if you remain silent because then you clearly choose to talk... it's when you ask for n attorney they cant continue questioning

What is he talking about if you ask to see a lawyer no cop can question you period. When he responded to the one officer that he wanted a lawyer the other can no longer ask him questions. When they get to the station no officer there can ask him questions. When you exercise that right they can no longer question you till your lawyer is present
MrJasonalexander09 1 year ago
cops really hate it when you exercise your rights

I wish i knew this, i was forced into a false confession. they didn't charge me and they're still trying to get charges against me. no lawyer will defend me because i was not charged or arrested...

chemicalsweet13 1 year ago
@chemicalsweet13 so how are people suposed to dress? and what kind of vehicles are they suposed to drive?
Th3Ch3m157 1 year ago
@Th3Ch3m157 That seems obvious but I’ll give you a pointer just the same. Look around at some people you feel are successful, contributing members of the community and society at large and then dress like them. If you can't afford to dress like them then start by at least wearing clothes that fit you. That's a great start. You'll probably still be harassed by the cops once in a while because that’s all cops do but i promise you it will happen with far less frequency. Good luck!
chemicalsweet13 1 year ago
@chemicalsweet13 sooo basically not allowed to be in liesure wear? should i start wearing overalls, w/ a hardhat walk around w/ a toolbox in one hand and blueprints in the other? or wear a suit and tie everywhere i go? how comfy would it be at the beach wearing a suit and tie? or overalls? and what IS your deffinition of a "contributing member of society"?
Th3Ch3m157 1 year ago
@Th3Ch3m157 Oh well, if by “leisure wear” you’re referring the “gangsta wear” then no I would definitely not recommend wearing it. I’ll bet if you’re willing to be honest with yourself you’ll admit that your far more likely to be harassed by police when you wear pants that are ten times too big etc. All your ‘fubu’ and ‘roca wear’ serves to do is indicate to an aspiring captain that you’re a damned ruffian looking for trouble and they will be more than happy to oblige.
