  • @UkrRusSlavic that's "Corruption", from Fabulous Disaster. Oh man those were the days, I've got this on VHS!

  • @UkrRusSlavic Corruption i think... it's definitely something off of Fabulous Disaster.

  • Heathen are kick ass!!!

  • Testament is the best thrash band ever

  • Did they really slash some dude's throat?... :|

  • 0.58 - S.O.D t-shirt ftw!

  • I have seen them like 20 times mid 80"s and in the 90's

    SO TALENTED!!

  • zetro wearing an anthrax shirt badass

  • Why do all Thrash metal bands always have to remind me of my lack of hair and awesomeness?

  • @Murder4Survival dude...u can still headbang and not have hair and still be badass...just look at kerry king

  • @epic309 Yeh u can headbang without hair but i think Phil Anselmo is a better example. Kerry looks retarded when he headbangs.

  • 8:35 Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • 2.50 to the right: Is that Lee Altus? The current second guitarist beside of Gary Holt in Exodus?

  • Comment removed

  • 2:39 theyr'e still figgiting with their guitars during interview haha

  • clemente in my opinion the worst drummer of thrash, testament deserves some body like tempesta or bostaph in old records

  • @shanefire6

Really? Are you the authority on all things gay?

  • no.but you sound pretty queer yourself.fag

  • You never hear Testament and Heathen being mentioned amongst the thrash greats, but they're two of the most talented and unique thrash bands.

  • @shaunt4 ok that's not quite true...the most talented musicians from the great thrash metal bands are easily the ones from megadeth and testament is actually considered one of the greatest thrash bands ever man!heathen is a really good band but they weren't as good as others...

  • @shaunt4 Bullshit! Testament get way more recognition than Exodus do!

  • hey- does anyone know what track that Heaten riff is taken from? and yeah, the new Heathen cd is serious good.

  • Open The Grave from the album Breaking The Silence

  • Thanks GuitarPerry!!! Exodus still rule supreme!!!!!!!!

  • Hahaha 1:54. Alex skolnick's headset falls off and he still manages to nail what is imo one of the greatest thrash solos on record.

  • cause he's fuckin' awesom haha :P

  • Heathen's new album kicks ass!!!

  • ahh the days where everyone had to have a jackson

  • @Spghlax9 LOL? Dave Mustaine didn't had a Jackson, James Hetfield didn'd, Kirk Hammet didn't, i mean, they hade, because they are great guitars for the price

  • @Serpentrikeband

Bullshit, dave had a jackson v

and kirk hammet had a RR3

Dude, do you even know the price of a jackson?

  • @Kingofyerass666 But that was lather, in 85/86

  • @Serpentrikeband

OMG, they both used Jacksons through the 90's

And Dave's whole band used Jacksons in that era.

Why be knowledgeable about something you do not know.

  • @Kingofyerass666

    Through the 90's yes!

But in 83/84 Dave Mustaine used B.c.Rich

James Hetfield never used jackson, i was triyng to say this

  • @Serpentrikeband

Actually, Hetfield had a Jackson King V that he used for "The Thing That Should Not Be" during the Puppets tour.

If you don't believe me, Google it.

  • @metalupyourASS92 Thanks dude, i didn't knew that

  • @Serpentrikeband No problem :D

  • @Serpentrikeband dave mustaine was a jackson user from the start of megadeth until a world needs a hero.

  • @Spghlax9 then fender fucked the company up (but jacksons back on track now) and all their artists left

  • that producer is a dick

  • @chapametal08 why?

  • what hard and heavy vol. is this?

  • Do you think Pantera is a bad band?

  • There is no solo at 2:36 ish

  • What guitar solo is that at 2:36 ish?

  • Chuck Billy looks so different now!!!!

  • thanks for sharin this video . haven't seen it in almost 20 years . That video had a band called "Violence" from L.A. on it somewhere which is the first time I saw Rob Flynn who is with Machine Head now .

  • fuckin right testament rules ....where ever the fuck you live RAISE THE FLAG OF HATE FOR THRASH METAL. Fuck poser fuckin faggots all afraid to get down and thrash.

  • Just like Bobby Blitz says:

FUCK YOU! To all the posers

  • It's Lee Altus in Heathen?

    Great Video Men

  • He was on the first 2 albums,I don't know if he is still playing with them

  • hahahahaah i live in the bay area everyone and there grandma is a metal head and its awesome long live THRASH!!!!!!

  • I still have this on VHS

  • Me, too, I'm watching it right NOW. \m/

  • we are family !! lol !

  • I doubt lee knew he'd be exodus.

  • haha, man i love it, the Exodus segment always cracks me up. hard n heavy thrash n speed metal special or whatever the hell it was called introduced me to a lot of bands when i was just getting into it. thank got for this tape.

  • vol 2 i think... it was a while ago now!

  • Long life to classic Thrash Metal !!!

  • lol 7:54 is that a ZOID??? i remember watching that show as a kid like a few years back, didnt know they went back to 1989

  • these 3 albums threw people around:

    souza joined exodus

    Baloff joined heathen

    Tempesta joined testament

    Altus joined exodus

    Bostaph joined testament

    everybody was thrown around.

  • not to mention slayer and testament have shared 3 drummers and 1 affiliation

    Bostaph

    lombardo

    dette

    hoglan

  • ...And then Gene Hoglan joined Forbidden when they reformed, but couldnt do the tour because of Deathklok, and then he joined Tenet with Glen Avarlis from Forbidden!

  • Baloff was never in Heathen

  • geuss not.

  • baloff recorded a demo with Heathen

  • Yeah he was. For like a week, but since he didn't fit in he was fired. He was in after the first album.

  • Whats that song testament is recording?

  • practice what u preach

  • OK,, then we know you're not a testament fan

  • they slashed someones throat at an exodus gig??

  • 5:03

  • thats what they say..

  • haha im not suprised to be honest.

  • Guess there WAS blood upon the stage...

  • haha oh yeah...

    bonded by blood!

  • whats the song by exodus?

  • Corruption off Fabulous Disaster

  • Hahah! Alex is such a ledgend! I can really see his KISS influence he always fondly talked about haha. Ledgendary. These guys were amazing at Priest Feast, Testament have only just fucking begun!

  • fuck sum hot chicks headbanging hell yeah.BTW exodus is fucking funny as hell just a bunch guys playing metal and having fun.

  • Correction: good friendly VIOLENT fun =)

  • that is zetro in the exodus clips right?

  • fuckin exodus

    hahaha

  • They did, but he didn't want to tour anymore.

  • alex skolnick is the most underrated guitarist in history.

  • why you think he's underrated? He is great guitar player, and I think everyone who is in thrash know about it!

  • I think he was underrated because he was never the mainstreamed like van halen, yngwie and others. But to people who loved thrash like me i didnt really matter the music was all that mattered.

  • They all have very funny hair. And they all play(ed) very fucking good music.

  • yea well.. they didn't give a fuck what cynics like you thought.

  • they had metal hair, it was about as unfunny as erm... something unfunny

  • Why cant they bring back awesome metal shows like this and get rid of the fucking SHIT Kerrang which aint metal at all and the rubbish Scuzz,,give me a chanell with Judas Priest and thrash

  • tell me about it - sadly since the rise of nu-metal and emo we're all gonna have to suffer in silence.

  • Ya'll got to fight to bring thrash back, don't be sitting on your hands. Support the new & the old thrash, (yes there are new bands who play real thrash) as much as possible, tell your friends tell strangers and be proud.

  • bring thrash back??? it never left.

  • Like it or not thrash left. Many of the bands dug their own graves by releasing their own "black albums", and thusly losing record sales and label support. Relegated to minor labels and releasing mediocre music wasn't the only issue, but it was a problem. So much so that most of the bands broke up. Many are reforming now, but it was touch and go for a while. Ironically Pantera got heavier and they started to go platinum, and then death metal had a surge in popularity too cause thrash wimped out.

  • agreed!

look at all those milestones the 80s brought us such as "seven churches", "pleasure to kill", "bonded by blood", "hell awaits" and "darkness descends". those albums still rule supreme and their spirit lingers on. not to mention that these bands seem to show up again!

  • but there aren't many thrashers anymore nowadays. and that sucks.

  • yeah. it does. i cant find any thrashers at my school. my friends listen to punk and modern hottopic metal. sad.

  • But the scene comes definitly back! By us, there a lot young thrash bands, kids with patched vestes, high white basketball shoes and the thigt jeans!

  • i cant find any high basket ball shoes locally haha.

  • then you aint lookin in the right places

  • My class got like 13 thrashers and its over 50 thrashers overall at my school

    and am one ofc :P

  • thats cool man i have like... 2 other and me...

  • I'm the only one in my town as far as I know. Everyone else is either a poser or not a metalhead. Fuckin' Connecticut.

  • dude im from connecticut me and a few of my friends of mine are metalheads i know the fuckin feeling

  • try being a metalhead in miami, where every motherfucker down here likes lil wayne n bullshit!

  • it's the same in Watertown, Connecticut. Rich white kids who come to school trying to talk like they're black, and then the posers who think they're metalheads. I walk into school in an overkill shirt and all the "metalheads" are like "Overkill, that's fuckin' dumb name. Good names are Metallica and pantera."

  • There is nothing I hate more then posers! Hell, keep supporting metal!

  • bet u they like motorhead

  • Comment removed

  • Do you think thats hard?Try to be one on Mexico, everyone here listens wether american pop, mexican music(which sucks alot) or if not they listen to probably the worst shit of the world:reggaeton.

  • dont forget rap that shit sucks too

  • Same with Minnesota, man. No one likes thrash here. haha

  • fucking true

    it'd all about 101.3

  • Haha, I know how that feels dude, I'm from Mexico and there's a fucking lot of posers here, but me and my metalhead friends will keep the fucking Metal flag over here.

You know, my band once played Megadeth's In my darkest hour and really few people knew it was a cover.

  • pretty fuckin cool to see the guitarist from Heathen say in 1989 his favorite band is Exodus, and now he is in Exodus.

  • Heathen rules!

  • Yeah, exodus! fucking gang vocals!

  • to bad he died i will miss his sick ass vocals

  • I don't like the hardcore vocals as much as whatever the old vocals were.

  • Ahh Testament rules..Great solos & vocals! Damn Chuck is young! He has really beautiful eyes for a native! NICE!

  • chuck billy has a massive face hahha

  • alex!! jajaa wath the fuck!!

  • This is an awesome video, all the best bands from bay-area!

  • exuse me, metallica, possessed are too.

  • Exodus own Testament! And I'm totally going to get some Heathen soon. But still Skolnick is a complete guitar god.

  • When alex says it's hard to make things sound like music when everythings going a 100miles an hour,Legacy,Reign In Blood and Darkness Descends sounds very much like good music to me ;) pure hip hop repelent,,Practice what you Preach kickd major ass though, but i always go back to The Legacy,i wish that record had Reign In Blood's production, best of the best from the thrash era \m/

  • same with kill em all

  • WHOA, getting to see the actual EPICNESS of PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH being written is AMAZING :D:D:D

  • hey right before the testament there was kingdom come. i just forget their song title showed here. can anyone help me what is it? thanks...

  • The Kingdom come song is called Do you like it and is taken from the album In your face, released in 1989.

  • EXODUS RULES

  • but now we have utube...\m/

  • i had this vid....hard'n'heavy was cool.

  • You can still get the Hard N Heavy series on DVD in a series of DVDs called Rockthology which come in volumes 1,2,3 etc. Each DVD has about 2 or 3 episodes of Hard N Heavy. This video was taken from volume 4 or 9, i can't remember because each DVD has shit loads of stuff. I don't know if you can get the Rockthology DVD's in the States or Europe, but we have em here in Australia. If you check out a site called EzyDVD you'll find em on there, they're pretty cheap.

  • Headphones fell off, he kept playing.

    ;)

  • 3:19 that was bad-ass

  • I love how you can actually hear the basslines in testament!

  • Chuck had cancer some years back but i guess he's better now. Can't wait to see them rock on the Metal Masters tour!
