"I LOVE LUCY" premiered in October 1951 (for Philip Morris}, with Bill appearing regularly as "Fred Mertz"- by then, he could no longer appear on other TV shows sponsored by rival cigarette companies...it was in his contract.

Isn't William Fawlrey (sp) showing conflict of interest with the sponsor since "I Love Lucy" was sponsored by a rival cigarette company.
