  • If the third girl didn't smoke, and if she wasn't like100 now, i should like a date. hahah

  • When this originally aired in March 1950 {West Coast}/April 1950 {East Coast}, 'KC', Bill Frawley was occasionaly appearing in bit parts on several live TV shows, including Ed's "integrated commercial" for Camel, here. "I LOVE LUCY" premiered in October 1951 (for Philip Morris}, with Bill appearing regularly as "Fred Mertz"- by then, he could no longer appear on other TV shows sponsored by rival cigarette companies...it was in his contract.

  • @fromthesidelines Very interesting info about Bill Frawley.

TY so very much for the info

    Lloyd.

  • Great Gatsby!!

This is the first time I've seen this whole thing uncut and I am shocked! SHOCKED!! to see William Frawley in it! I did not expect him at all!!

  • @JohnSilverfan01 Apparently, he was in several shows prior to his I love Lucy role.

YT'er fromthesidelines describes this situation in greater detail.

    Lloyd.

  • Isn't William Fawlrey (sp) showing conflict of interest with the sponsor since "I Love Lucy" was sponsored by a rival cigarette company.

    Lloyd.
