This guy should do more research. According to Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, only 2.8% of all goods consumed in the U.S. is made in China. 89% of goods consumed in the U.S. is actually made in the U.S.. Maybe this guy should shop at another place other than Walmart.

A great deal of their ecomomic growth depends on the USA, the exports to this country is what is giving China its financial growth. They depend very heavily on the products made in China and shipped to the U.S. If we don't buy China loses. So our ecomomic health is very important to them. We in turn need them to buy our treasury certificates for financing the operation of the Government.

Most people are too poor for any substantiial consumption, meaning they can't develop their own domestic market to consume what they produce. I can say that americans are wrong on subsidizing such and, if you analyze the composition of american labor hours, its leaning towards automation as compared to china's "cheap" labor force (manual). I could say, on the last sentence that I've said, that its one of the cause of the income disparity in USA.

If you spend 1 billion on materials to build luxury apartment buildings and then once they are finished price them at 2 billion then you have grown the one billion by 200% and the economy by 1 billion. 1. 10% economic growth for 30 years doesn't mean sh*t when when the first year's amount of wealth is low.
2. That would mean that GDP per person would be over $80,000, which even now in oil rich countries like is difficult.
3. Chinas GDP is $5tn with 1.3 BILLION People, the US is $14tn with 330 Million. Not gonna happen ever.
Increasing oil prices, internal poverty and a property crash soon mean that China is FUCKED.

China owe symbolic debt, USA dept is 64 trillion, if add deriviates is over 100 tn, each 16 month US add another tn plus interest. Better yet, China just start to going up and USA is in econo insovency, China in nagative eye mean u can't see trend vision

@fdoca 1. so what? china is a poor country it still is a relatively poor country. most of that growth is going to a fraction of the population. Most people are too poor for any substantiial consumption, meaning they can't develop their own domestic market to consume what they produce. It will take a lot longer than 30 years to move a lot of people to that point. #123 trillion in 2025, there is no way in hell china is going to go from $5 to $125trillion in 14 years.

I'm not an expert in economics, but I feel that China's economy is as not bad as this guy makes it seem to be. China has a lot of potential with its gigantic population, and so it just seems too early for its economy to collapse soon. History tells us that, despite being the largest economy in the world for many years, China's GDP per capita has been average, so I think China will reach at least $20,000 GDP per capita before its economic growth starts to even out with that of the Western world.

@PotEnTiaL76 Its really not, but it does have its flaws. In a proper economy, the gap between the rich and the poor should not be this astronomically wide (and getting worse). Specially since most of their income is based on destructive poor quality products when many people in these hard days would rather spend more money on something they know will last.

It's really down to the point whether China needs to find jobs for 1B+ people or just getting nicely paid jobs to a small % of them. China apparently chose the first option, and is going to continue on that direction for the next 10-20 years. But never underestimate China, after all they now consume 2x steel of the combined amount by USA, Japan and Europe. You know what I mean - when something drastic happens, steel is what matters, not the freaking wall street suckers.

China's an export juggernaut (meaning they're dependent on others just like Japan). American corporations have brought so much business to that country. If you're afraid of China then the media's doing a good job. But the fact of the matter is that China needs the US more than the US needs China. Hypothetically we could have been doing business in India or Brazil and it would be them that we would be "afraid of".
