My mum's still the best singer in the world !!!!!!!!! and I will try my best to get as far as her on my piano...I speak english because our house is a little Ireland =) even though france is a wee bit too french ;)

@diesel54300 thought she was terrific in 1985 with that number,should have done better maybe,but so competitive back then with great songs within a taste of each other,and much better than now,envy you guys for now because i'd love to be irish living in france,and learn the best language,next to or along with our own,maybe near wine region!(but its beautiful country wherever you go),i think someday maybe,who knows

maria cuche was never blind she had and has a visual impairment...she now lives in france with her husband and children but traves to Ireland regularly to visit her family. her children are extremely musical. her eldest son plays the piano all over the country and is very well known for his musical ability. the family currently work together in making cd's and producing new music.

I remember watching this and thinking how elegant she is. I later read somewhere that she became blind. Is this true?

I think she had a visual impairment but am not sure if she became blind. I remember watching this and thinking how beautiful she was!
