@Crazeyfor67 really dude? you do know hes a legendary bank pool and 1 pocket player right?....jim wych is a fucking joke...grady mathews has turned down much needed jobs as a commentator because jim wych was going to be there
Yes, it's a Joss. Shane's grandfather, Gary Bloomberg had it made for him back around 1995-96. It has 4 ebony points that say "SHANE". True story. If you can find some close up shots of him playing, you'll see the name on the cue.
I had DirectTV for a while, and even with the hundreds of channels it was hard to find pool. But I'd think there must be some way to watch all you want...
I wish as a player i could be that monotonous. Friend..you sound like the people who used to get bored watching Mosconi run 200 and out. Purely from a spectator's perspective i kinda sympathise..but bear in mind that 9-ball (& 10 ball) will break you down eventually. Even in alternate break with 2 very hot players you're unlikely to see the match go hill-hill with each player running every rack.
I've argued your viewpoint with friends before and i always look at it this way...if i'm playing aginst you, and the opportunity arises, you best believe i'm trying to run out the set. Regardless of how boring it may be for the viewers, i still believe the only way to guarantee victory against Pro-level and US Open caliber players is to never give them a shot. If i get out of position or don't get a clean shot somewhere in the rack then i'll look for the appropriate safety. Otherwise...Sayonara
Absolutely. If I was that good, it would be brilliant! If it got to the stage where everybody was that good, the game would die out. It happened with English billiards throughout it's history; it was possible to make 500,000 breaks if you wanted to. In snooker, for instance, you can still play tactically and do well. Of course if you could clear the table every turn you're going to win, but the best snooker matches are the tactical ones. This rack of pool is one of the best I've seen on here.
sick runout there

Diliberto is terrible. The worst ever when he comments on bank pool. Doesn't have a clue.

Good to see some 9-ball tactical play, rather than clearances in every rack.

What's wrong with clearing every rack?
iherbal 3 years ago
It gets monotonous. It's good to see something different once in a while.

Actually, I first searched for 8-ball and didn't find much on youtube. So I watched what was available, and now am much more interested in 9-ball.
