I fail to believe encounters allways happens as onesidetly as showed here. Usually there´s more than one lion to take down a big cape buffalo, can take a smaller one down alone by attacking their defenceless bags thou but there´s allways a high risk that you would end up lying on the top of their heads and then being pushed several feets up the air and getting gored. I definetely think there´re cases where tigers has died a slow death from internal injuries after an attempt to kill a big gaur.

What is this video trying to prove? It is a widely known fact that tigers can and will kill gaurs, just as they may get killed instead. The are many accounts of tigers getting killed by gaurs when trying to hunt them, so what is the whole point? I mean, it looks like you are trying to make a case for tigers as if you were a tiger lawyer or something. Youtube is full of people fighting over which animal is stronger.

Just to straighten something out... yes lions use a pride to hunt prey, meaning to stalk and cut it off from getting away, but the final kill is made by one lion just as often as with several. One lion will grab and bite the neck just like most big cats, and bring the animal down. By the way, there are some areas of Africa where the lions are bigger than others and kills of rhinos are documented.

Sure the Gaur is the largest of all cattle, however African Buffaloes are not cattle and are much bigger than Gaur. Yes Tiger is slightly stronger than lion, the difference is not noticeable. Being aggressive can make the risk factor that much more difficult, the weather climates are different which is why african animals are usually leaner but fiercer.

Gaur certainly can defense themselves when tigers come. Just like buffalo will fight back when lions hunt them. At this point, they are both aggressive.

But we can measure once a beast is taken down how aggressive will it be to get itself back up, its alot harder for gaur to get back up since they carry more weight. At times you can see the water buffalo actually lay down when it comes to a standoff between lions, but gaur always keep their face toward the enemy standing up

well I guess I watched the video you talk about. The lioness bite giraffe's neck with one bite(sudden jump up to its neck). I also watched some video a pride fight one giraffe(and they are hardly to kill giraffe). When adult giraffe is awared, one lion almost has no chance to kill it.

yes if you saw the lioness take out the giraffe that weighs more than the the crocidile what makes you think that the male lion cannot hunt equal or greater size prey than the tiger....i also happen to see that tiger take on that croc, problem was the croc was not in its habitat it was caught off guard, if it had been a fight in the water the croc would be favored so that proves nothing in comparison to the lion....the croc that tiger took on arent as big as the average african crocs
