I feel sorry for the engine without an effective air filter. The one you are using has a 1ft square surface area, the original is 12ft, so the holes in yours are at least 12 times bigger. That means you are allowing huge bits of dust and dirt in to the engine which will cause premature wear. The original paper air filter doesn't restrict the flow as it has a bigger surface area and actually filters. Yours blocks up and performance drops rapidly. LEARN about filtration and engines next!

NO - you need to learn about engines. Now, little boy. I'm not talking anything like 1.7 Zetec engines or ST fiestas - their shit. I'm talking about performance turbo charged engines, RS turbo CVH engnes - YB cosworth engines... have you ever built a performance engine? You CLEARLY dont understand filtration, and you CLEARLY dont understand the parasitic effect it drains from the engine, same as exhaust pressure [it's a 4stroke, it needs NO pressure] etcetc, read up about it. Idiot

Well i am sure theyre around mate ive seen a few for the RS i wanna buy it new tbh. i only like standard ford but this just has to be done, it looks like it was made factory fitted.

It is standard for Cam Cover that i have had sprayed and applied Pumaspeed Vinal to it

one of my mates has converted his zetec s with the 1.7 lump and has spent a fortune on it including cosworth cams remap full exhaust. Hes had nothing but trouble with it including 2 gearboxes and an engine rebuild! looking at the engine bay you definatly look after your zs a lot more than he does lol

he now has a fiesta rs as a play think the lucky git lol.

Ouch sounds expensive, i do spend alot of time makeing sure its running smoothly, regualy oil changes ect and checks

hes had it for just over a year and was a mint example of the zs, even had the air con option. 2 months in the engine went so in went the 1.7, another month the gearbox went, a few months after that the clutch went and gearbox had seized solid, then he had it dynod and the engine wasnt kicking out too much (145bhp) after the full works spent on it so he carried out a rebuild!

hes owned it for just over a year and its been off the road for 8months lol, he really doesnt look after it

The "Red Bar Thing" across the engine is a strut brace used to reduce body roll and generally increase the structural integrity of the car, decreasing flex and twisting of the body mostly under heavy cornering, and on roads with steep cambers. There is a strut brace similar to this one underneath and at the rear of the car. I was very impressed with the difference it made, car feels solid on corners. Hope this helps...
