i did this 2 summers ago. it was amazing highlight of the trip. great rapids were given lunch on a small island half way and between some of the rapids you could jump out and just float with the river watching the country float past and there are no crocodiles etc above murchison falls so its safe as a river can be.
Why is it called the White Nile? Because of the rapids? Isn't there a Blue Nile, too? The only photos I've seen of it show BROWN water NOT BLUE. Where are all the crocodiles we're constantly hearing about?

I would be scared to death to do that in a kyack. i love kyacking, but that would scare the crap out of me. it looks like fun in a raft though!

its in uganda... u can do a days rafting from a campsite called nile river explorers near a place called jinja.

there is a blue nile as well the white and blue nile are the niles two sources

Certain parts of the river they wouldn't let you get out of the rafts. These were usually calmer waters, so they were not near the rapids.
