La interpretación es perfecta y si el agudo es nasal es porque, el sonido solo busca la salida y se dirige a los resonadores y uno de los más usados de los huecos de la cara son los nasales. Todo cuanto se diga de Placido domingo es envidia. He escuchado a muchos cantantes en la cadenza final de "Donna e mobile", sólo Caruso, Miguel Fleta y Placido Domingo la hacen con una gran perfección. Los dem´s simplemente no se la pueden.

Dull. Phoned in. If you can't hear the pinched, strained and squeezed vocal quality of the last measures then you aren't really listening.

The score says "piano" at times - I admire Domigno but this is pretty stolid and dull singing. Of course I could not achieve this splendid sound but he seems incapable of singing a true p never mind pp as the score demands. Strangely the last "showpiece" top note is not secure - I have no worries with that just the overall dullness and lack of insight, which surprises me.

Reach into my heart and make me feel strong emotions. Love, tenderness, intimacy, strength, courage, joy, laughter. There are a few (very few) singers that can do that in under a minute. Placido moves me. As does Mario.

No recording is perfect. No tenor is perfect. No human is perfect. So enjoy! There's a lot to enjoy in this aria. Singers who are always looking for the perfect phrasing, perfect pitches, perfect technical aspects often leave me cold. The singer who moves me has me as a fan! The cold, technical ones I can do without.
