  • Jiapee studios - Prithwi Raj

  • But the original photo was so much nicer!

  • The song is an alternate version of The Flashbulb's "Passage D".

  • what this music please?

  • 0:21 looks nothing like 0:58

  • @DanceFerLyfe sick as in cool

  • Its sick .. but when u think about its cool how they did that

  • It's funny, because this is just further campaigning to make Dove look heroic or something. Dove retouches in their ads too.

  • this makes me cry. it sucks being a 16year old girl these days.

  • @xxbluejay21 your a fricken retard my sister is in the hospital from trying to look like that...media has such an impact on people, you have no idea

  • 0:28 to skip to the time lasp.

  • that's sad but true... i don't like myself because i feel i should be just as beautiful as the woman in the last picture is. can't help it.

  • I don't wear makeup or wear foundation! I have zits but I DON'T FREAKING CARE! I am beautiful! WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL!

  • @pinkchica1000 Do you know if the Falling Skies series is any good or not?

  • This is disgusting.

  • No wonder us girls have to wear makeup be skinny and do all that shizz to feel accepted! We shouldn't have to. We should be able to be ourselves, and realise that we are beautiful for who we are!

  • Isn't 0:47 enough? I mean, that's pretty already, and yet realistic.

  • @DanceFerLyfe I agry and I think that's why today girls feel so uncomfortable with their bodies... :(

  • The make-up artist is the beauty!

  • her original look was better imao...

  • It's about natural beauty, not the editing and makeup.

    This is so sad...

  • omg .... i can't beleive that....

  • ummmm ok.... well she was naturally pretty before, but when shes wearing makeup it just enhances her beauty, thats the point of makeup!!

  • @jane7362 The point of make up is to make yourself FEEL beautiful, not to make yourself LOOK beautiful. If it was to make you look beautiful, then every girl in the world who wears make up on a regular basis would be ugly. Also, the point of the video is to show the photoshop they do to make somebody look better, when true beauty without photoshop is even more beautiful.

  • @horsecrazy8900 no the point of makeup is to make you LOOK and feel more beautiful. it shouldn't come as a surprise that covering up acne spots with concealer makes you look better.

  • Seriously the world is becoming a Fucked Up place so sad...

  • You'll always look at these billboards, and think, why are they so perfect? Why I am not that pretty? Well the truth is, no one really knows what true beauty is anymore, do to photoshop. It's really sad.

  • what is the music?

  • @popupopidou Music: Vapor Music, Toronto

Album: Kirlian Selections, year release: 2005, Track: "passage d"

  • OMG!! this video is jst so crazy!! every girl looks at the media and wants to be perfect like every1 featured in them, but we shouldint even be worring abt that bcuz were already beautiful in our own way, and besides its not even real its all photoshop

  • my teacher showed us this ad, i was shoked

  • Beauty has been completely distorted....!

  • no manches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O_o

  • Love what this video portrays and definitely agree with it... I just find it hilarious Dove belongs to the same company as the makers of Axe (Unilever), and we all know about their marketing techniques... bit ironic.

  • she looks fab!!!! and it does not suck! it is awesome!

  • THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think she was pretty before they touched her up. Now she just looks creepy.

  • @mixxsometunes Freedom of thought - freedom of speech. I agree with your point about exploitation. my point is that they also ruin the idea of natural beauty by photoshopping women that are all ready drop-dead-gorgeous, and there is no need for it - yes, it contributes to this false idea of perfection to women. But neither should it give false hope to people in the other direction - that everyone can become a model. you may not need good looks, but you do need charisma to last in modelling

  • There is nothing wrong with this ad. It just shows that we like beauty. Whatever looks beautiful is good. The detractors of this ad are wrong.

  • No one should feel insecure looking at these "Beautiful"(not) girls in magazines. They are fake. It make alot of girls feel insecure, to not look as beautiful as them. :[

  • everyone has at least one flaw one themselfs so i dont know how ppl would believe that its crazy

  • wow. not to be insensitive, but this makes ME feel a lot better about myself. haha. but wow i can't believe my perception of beauty has been so wrong. so many teen girls are aspiring for "beauty" that doesn't even exist in reality.

  • that was cool, but its kinda mean, like seriously, leave someone the way they are or just dont do it.

  • @ModemptionFilms American Apparel. :)

  • i think she was prettier before.

  • no offence, but she was a dog before all that. or mediocre at best. I know people that are more attractive than this with no makeup on.

  • @smithhedgehog You're so missing the point.

  • @KorvusKoraks i'm so not

  • @smithhedgehog Dove is trying to make people realize that the beauty standards today are artificial and unrealistic, and the average woman has no chance of meeting them. If you criticize the model because she doesn't fit the artificial, unrealistic standards, you ARE missing the point.

Read the above at least three times before responding. Aloud.

  • @KorvusKoraks I knew it was for that. my point was this girl is not attractive. why not get a model that is already attractive; a thing WHICH I HAVE SEEN WITH MY OWN EYES, and then you negate the need to do any photoshop on them, all you would need is a good photographer and a naturally beautiful woman. If this girl is not attractive to begin with she has no business being a model, and should pick a profession she is more suited to.

  • @smithhedgehog All right, I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. Thanks for clarifying.

  • @KorvusKoraks It's fine. I think i was a little harsh anyway.

  • @ModemptionFilms

    why not?

I've seen enough girls in real life or on original photo's, which are prettier than this women on the billboard

I even prefer it when girls don't use make-up at all

  • Ok, this commercial was going extreme. This is why the fashion industry goes for a certain look, because they dont want to bother photoshopping a persons body. Deal with it. Emos get over yourselves.

  • it looks like as if she just woke uP

  • My teacher showed my class this. Seeing is not believing. :/

  • She looked gorgeous before. Most women look gorgeous without makeup.

  • How come I always see really good looking guys or girls on the street, but the people in magazines and on billboards are always ugly in real life.

  • @jgq85 me too

  • I honestly thought she looked great before they started messing with her...

  • No, Jennifer Hudson. You have a MAKE UP ARTIST who always gets it right haha

  • At least dove is making a statement.Even if it is only a marketing strategy. It's a much better approach. beauty=authenticity+honesty+good morals.no matter what the industry brainwashes into us.Don't understand how many adverts aren't banned. It's the governments job to form society &keep it healthy, as they are rewarding us with middle class luxuries if we fit in.The Industry needs stronger regulations on manipulation of potential buyers. Not going to happen as it isn't profitable, but it should.

  • This video is crazy. I thought that she looks great before the makeup and computer. The final picture is unreal and stupid. Thumbs up if u agree...

  • This video is crazy. I thought that she looks great before the makeup and computer. The final picture is unreal and stupid.

  • her eyes are WAY to big :/

  • Beauty is all but an illusion.

If only more people would realize that...

  • @MileygirlJ12 I am a man, i've seen "hot" "Sexy" "Beautiful" women i was raised in this era and now that my eyes have lay'd down on such things I can't help it. To me and all the other men that are my age, it is "NOT!" an illusion so in order to delete this corruption from the world you must start with the children....Thats why more people don't realize it.

  • @Sairium All I'm saying is that even the ugliest people could look beautiful with the right clothes/hair/makeup. And that even the prettiest people could look ugly if they don't take care of themself.

The "hot" "sexy" or "beautiful" women you've seen most likely took care of themselves and presented themselves with confidence.

The "ugly" or "plain" girls you've seen most likely did not wear nice clothing or did not brush their hair or whatever...

    It all depends.

  • @MileygirlJ12 I see, True. But to be honest some people are just born "ugly" because of how we defined it.

  • @Sairium Yes, true. But I still think that beauty is an illusion because, like I said before, ANYONE could become beautiful or ugly... all it takes is a change in makeup, hair, clothes, and attitude.

  • @MileygirlJ12 Agreed. You sort of think like me, nice to know theres people like you in this crumbling world.

  • Why did they make the lips so janking big?

  • People need to realize that the women who *do* look like this have grown up on their own "beauty" and end up spoiled and bitchy. If you want a sweet, thoughtful girl, look away from the billboards and find a normal woman.

  • Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with makeup. Until you spend hours packing it on. The editing is wrong too. No one looks like that. Not even her!!

  • so ye unfortunately, thats how beauty industry works.

At the start of the video we can see a beautiful woman.

After the photoshop and the editing, we can see a plastic pathetic bitch.

  • whats the song name ?

  • @abcderkater2 Passage D by The Flashbulb

  • that's amazing.

  • It's weird that we feel the need to put that much effort into beauty

  • @gabz3x --You are absolutely right. And, tt seems the only women on tv, in movies, in videos are whores or aggravating mothers. It's like it is all a male juvenile fantasy.

  • That was disturbing.

  • one fugly chick

  • this is what makes girls think they're ugly and look disgusting they think that they should look like the edited girls on billboards and crap like that beauty is whats on the inside not outside... whoever doesnt agree i dont care what you think

  • i liked how she looked before the computer editing *.*

  • crazy! my public relations textbook sent me here

  • makes me kinda sad.

  • I love this:)

  • this is crazy. what song is this btw?

  • @POLAROIDSNAP Passage D - Flashhub. Thats the song name!

  • wwwooooowwwww thats crazy....

  • TO ALL Make up Artists: "Ya better bend over & Kiss it Good Bye!"

  • SICK!

  • I liked her the Best at 0:38 naturally and not too much make up.

  • So your telling me my beautiful wife was PHOTOSHOPPED !

  • Comment removed

  • thats' wrong

  • whats the song?

  • @gino100100 its one of the songs by The Flashbulb on his album kirlian selections

  • Now I'm wondering what I could look like with a shit load of makeup...

Too bad I don't like wearing itXD

  • Now I'm wondering what I could look like with a shit load of make up and digital editing.

Too bad I don't like wearing make up XD

  • @ModemptionFilms then nobody would buy the product :(

  • i hate it how people desrtoy beautiful people faces in photoshoots.God made us beautiful ..deal with it.

  • I would not buy that product they were selling, FAKE

  • I thought she was pretty even before the make up and extensive digital messing.

  • What song is this?

  • This does NOT seem to be Photoshop, what software are they using? Anyone knows?

  • @melikestool its not a program their using, its just a special effect for the ad

  • @jesusorder10 Fuck you. God loves everyone equally. Your perspective of God is distorted.

  • The camera is the biggest liar.

  • @jesusorder10 Here is a winning way to get your message across....

  • @jesusorder10 are you homophobic??? .... Jesus doesn't like discrimination

  • He way over-did the eyes.

  • Pause at 0.58 then click back to 0.20

    This is ridiculous!

  • Thought this campaign is undoubtedly a brilliant thing, it completely forgets male self esteem...

  • real beauty is distorted nowadays by editing visual aids such as pictures with extreme photoshop. This shows us that we should start seeing what real beauty is about.

  • unfortunately, dove is owned by the same company that owns axe.

as the people at dove try to make average women feel beautiful, the people at axe degrade woman. this company is unilever. what hypocrisy.

  • @dazzlingirlie you don't think this is degrading either? having to digitally manipulate someone to make them beautiful?

  • @dazzlingirlie Axe does not degrade women. Jesus fucking christ, stop sensationalizing stuff like that. When axe says that their product gets you attractive women, that isn't degrading. If a product "helps" us find a suitable mate, us animals will buy it. Of course it's utter bullshit, but it's how we work. Photoshopping, however, is completely distorting our perception of women, which makes it harder for us men to find a suitable mate. (because our standards are high)

  • @FromAMartianMoon actually, what is degrading to women is having them used over and over again in commercials as objects. Axe, along with a myriad of other companies who's products range from auto insurance to hamburgers, constantly degrades and objectifies both men and women. It's not sensationalizing. You'd have to be pretty deluded to believe that isn't degrading.

  • @dazzlingirlie I agree with you; even though the market segment is not the same, and not targeting the same group (gender, age, income, etc...) the fact remains that Axe takes credibility away from those "feel good" initiatives by Dove.

  • @dazzlingirlie yes but the message is correct, and that's where it is about.

  • @dazzlingirlie how does axe degrade women ?

  • @tnevzn Have you never seen an axe commercial? Watch how women are portrayed, their actions and depictions in the ads. They are merely used to express sexual or sensual attentiveness for the men who are wearing axe for the purpose of the advertisement. Thats whats degrading. I dont think anyone can be blind to these things. And still unilever chooses to play both sides of the game: appeal to men thru that depiction of women and also to females with the whole "you are beautiful" kind of approach.

  • Some people can look good without all that, I think most people are just jealous of people with natural beauty and this gives them comfort. I'm 5'1 and I accept I'll never be a tall, elegant, super model looking chick, but I still respect models and they have every right to flaunt there beauty. ;) I personally like my rock hard abs and athletic body and don't have to criticize models to make myself feel better. I think some of you women praising this video are just naturally ugly and fat. :)

  • @SanityIsSuchADrag haha...

  • @SanityIsSuchADrag It just makes me sad that they changed her like that, they hid her real looks and they didn't need to,she was already beautiful in the beginning. The resulting image isn't real, that's why people are mad.Because natural beauty is much more beautiful than computerized beauty.

  • does any1 know which program they used ?

  • Nobody will ever be this perfect without computer work. Wooww

  • I used to think that models had to be beatiful, but now i notice that they are not as perfect as they seem

  • skip to 0:08 to see it

  • Personally, I thought she's the most pretty @0:30

Why would they mess up the eyebrows, those look much better naturally!

Her hair looks good @0:46 though

  • @FlashBrazer You can't even SEE her face at 0:30...=?

  • @LauralyricXx It seemed to be the right moment when I checked, but it might be 0:29 or something XD

For the record, I didn't mean the moment where some hand comes up with a stapler or something, but the moment before that C:

  • She's still ugly after all the makeup & photoshopping...

  • how is step 0:48 done? :S

  • @gonausejo a computer, dumbass

  • @Slacktoo you clearly don´t know anything about photo retouching, if so, you would know what i was talking about, dumbass

  • she still looks worst after that :L

but wow thats soo scarry maan!

and its so popular last year out teacher even showed it

thats how i knew about this :L

  • shes so pretty and they ruined her.

  • so basically this vid is tell me even people that are only marginally attractive can be models since its all fake anyway

  • I personally think that she looks prettier at 0:44 than the final result

  • it means the bitch you see is your aunty

  • lol he doesn't use photoshop..

  • i like the song

    thumbs up.

  • This commercial would be fucking brilliant if it wasn't a fucking commercial.

  • @vrijheidx, So what! All commercials want you to "CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME." Lots of commercials will try to make you want to buy the PRODUCT! Its the way advertisemets work, if you didint know! And how would you know? Maybe they DO care about women and girls. Maybe they DO want to show you that confiednt taht sometimes, the models in pictures arent ACTUALLY THAT GORGEOUS! Maybe they DO want to make women have preide in their looks! Did you ever figure that?

  • CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME. That's ALL Dove wants you to do! They want YOU to BUY their PRODUCTS and CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME. You are a consumer and they want your money, THAT IS ALL. They don't give a shit about women and girls, they don't care about how fake the "beauty" depicted in the media is. They're just using a different tactic to get your money. Wake the fuck up assholes.

  • Unilever owns both Dove and AXE Body Spray.

You know AXE commercials, where women are portrayed in the most sexist fashion.

This DOVE commercial is nothing but a company cashing in by selling a sentiment.

It's all about marketing, that's the motive behind the commercial.

    Unilever=Hypocrites

CulturePub (the uploader) has fallen into the market niche that Unilever has targeted, and is advertising for them for free. Or maybe not for free....

  • Hmm. what is this songg ? :3

  • Too bad she's still pretty ugly.

  • my teacher told me to look at this... o.O

  • I really like this video - it open our eyes!

  • i think i need makeup.

i have such acne and such scars.

i just look terrible without it.

    and i'm only sixteen.

    such a shame.

  • my stupid ass teacher made me watch this in class and shes like so now what do you think and i was like bitch dont give a shit,.

  • what did they do to her at 0:31 i thought it was agun :D

  • You tube makes be watch an advertisement before I can watch an advertisement?

  • @urtv1 INORITE? But I still think this is possibly the best ad there has ever been on TV or internet. It's worth it.
