  • Hello my name is Yasniel Ortega, from child I want to be a model, I like eating healthily and I love the beach. I am a happy person and i love to be around friends. Now I am 17 years old, measure 5.7 and weigh 120, but no agency want me for modeling because they say that I am very small. But where goes all my passion that I have for modeling? I just cant give up.. I have to do something for me and for all those boys and girl out there the have the same need of modeling. i just need your support

  • so she just put "go on the internet and type in modelling" into 2 minutes, wow.

  • hey ive been told alot to go into modeling, because I'm apparently very good looking, have great body shape and just the overall look. even a female model once said that to me and she has high standards...I'm 6.1ft, 155 lbs, but I'm only 15 and I'm bound to be gaming more weight soon...do you know if that's something they would be interested in? I've never really thought about it seriously until now, does anybody have some helpful advice for me please?

  • and ive been modelling since i was 15 (now im 16) as a fashion model. And lemme tell you , dont do this outside of school because you cant make a decent living out of it. the most ie ever made from a shoot is 400$NZD and thats pretty much nothing considering you rarely get work.

  • @ChrisBelback .6'4 is quite tall. In modelling the idea of "bigger the better" does NOT apply. The reason why you may not be able to acquire an agency etc is because you may be TOO tall, or your face could possibly be very normal looking , which isnt a bad thing! im just saying that agencys generally look for very defined facial structures (straight , thick , possibly odd looking) . Most models are generally between 5'11 and 6'3 . But there are taller models. Im only 5'11 185lbs ,

  • Is this a tutorial on how to be a model or how to make money

  • Thanks for this video , By the Way , i want to be a Top Model , I have everything to be an International Model , but i don't know any serious agency ! Contact me

  • *170.8 lbs

  • *Sigh* this told me nothing, I need to know what to do to get established even though I'm to short to be normally established, since I've only 5'9 in addition to other things that arnt fitting of the traits of a male model, such as not having lost enough wight yet being 17.8 lbs) and according to some who at least acted like they know what their talking about, I have a "boy next door" look, and not unique enough (although idk how you can qualify being alike right down to hight as unique)

  • does she even know what she's talking about? is this from an improv class or something, she sounds like a babbling idiot.

  • @TheLaneWeaver i was thinking the same thing... no sense of professionalism. geeeeez

  • =>

    1.Step become gay

    2.Step get ABS

    3.Look for auditions

    xD

  • WOW! That easy! Do you think they would accept a 14 year old?

  • @coolyo366 I think it's too young, you can try the pre-teens modeling, usually they accept models around 15-17 :)

  • he could edit that stupid video

  • False? So tell me where is this huge demand for male models opposed to female models? I am not saying there is no need for male models that IS false. But you have to admit the female model world is extremely competitive.

  • You got it made, male models are not high in demand

  • False

  • I dont think you can be overly muscular I think you have to have some muscles and lanky with great bone structure and take great pics

  • ....i wanna be a male model :) ....im 6'4.....would that still be an appropiate height for modeling????

  • I'm thinking of going into an open call at Ford Models, I'm 16 and they say the Ford men requirements are 6'0 to 6'2, I'm like 5'11 and I'm not sure if I should still go in or wait till I grow a little more. I met a Ford Model and her mom and they both said that I have a great look and a great personality and I should go in for an open call... what should I do?

  • you suck

  • Ok ok... She sucks as an announcer though

  • im looking into this cuz I have been searching and applying for jobs and I cant get my first job because I need experience, how the hell am I going to get experience if the older people are taking them "they took ER JOBS!" I need money. Shit.

  • @SurfbyShootin you think you can be a model? u got fb i wanna see if ur even close to being enough good looking 2 be a model

  • Comment removed

  • @BROOKLYNBALLER45

pics on my facebook Justin Perez

  • learn to talk

  • i have just recently been given an offer to model, but feel kind of funny that the agency told me that when a job comes up no matter what it is it had to be taken ...that kinda makes me feel pressured lol they also told me 20% as well as 144$ fee for becoming a part of some database and fill out paperwork

  • @MattyMcCritic man your lucky how did you get noticed?

  • @01thrilla By a scout on myspace, but it has such categories as nude/art which pays up to 3500 a day so i guess depending on how the agency works is what kind of jobs will be found for you. I'm still not even sure if I'm going to take the offer yet but there is a number you can call for details if you want it

  • @MattyMcCritic I don't like the idea of that having to take a job no matter what it is. When I sign my contract I want to have a clause that protects my right to turn away certain jobs that I am morally opposed to doing.

  • @simplythebest444 lol smart move

  • is she retarded???

  • 20% fee!!! F@#* that's an awful high fee...

  • thanks to genetics im only 5'10 just not fair i wish i was 6'3.

  • @RdStRaPpEd you can still model at 5'10. they say girls should be like 5'8 to be a model and yet i know a few who are actually making money off it and theyr like 5'3-5'5. Really alls you need to do is get a really good tan, do your hair up nice, go to the gym alot and then wear tight shirts and bam you're basically a model. I honestly dont get why they say you have to be 6'2 to model, i cant tell how tall someone is by looking at a magazine like wtf and taylor lautner models and hes 5'10

  • only 1m70, can be a male model with goodlooking face? Is model meaned tall?

  • I'm 4'1...a dwarf...and weigh 250 pounds....I wanna be a male model BIATCH!!!

  • i want to become a male model, im 19, tall, carmel skinned, and ive been told that i have a really nice face, i have a great personality and i love taking photos, you can follow me on twitter @xCREATEDx and my facebook is Jerrod Campbell, dont be afraid to add me :D

  • @iguessJERROD nice aint gunna work homie

  • FOLLOW @AnthonyJetSet ON TWITTER !

  • THIS IS HOW NOT TO DO IT!!!!!

  • @HardeyLeone so what is the way to do it?

  • I think this chick should go watch that video on how to become a better public speaker....

  • Good thing she's not prepared...

  • ..You don't really need to be ''tall'' to be a male model nowadays, that is only really for catwalk modelling.

More important is great lean physique and good cheekbones.

  • @Dungarth You Garth, umm sorry to just drop in like this can u give some tips how to u knw show ...cheek bines mine are bloated :(

  • @Dungarth u need to be tall in both cases cause in photo shoots very often u ll have to be full shot meaning u need to look nice and long

  • im a male model too, and ive learned its more then about good looks, but attitude as well. in some cases, attitude and personality is more important then looks.

  • i'm tall 6"2....maybe asian gorgeous so..can i be a model?? hehehe

  • Right, you dont have to go to an agent.

It is good to see one but you CAN do it alone as there are more ways

    to promote these days.

  • @Crimson121 that could be a good thing! have you seen some of guccis models?

  • Damn, good thing there are subtitles.

  • Wow, she is really stupid. How did she ever start her own company?

  • shuuuuuuuuut up!

  • @ciaranday dumb biatch

  • Wow...this loser woman probably has the most pathetic clientele ever....i can't believe she has the balls to post this..... what a firm!

  • YOU HAVE TO BE BETWEEN 5ft 11in and 6ft 3in AND YOU CANT BE OVER MUSCULAR,,,,,GOTTA HAVE GOOD BONE STRUCTURE (handsome features) OKAYYYY

  • How muscular do you have to be? What if you look like your 16 (age wise) but really your 21? Is 5"10 tall enough? I'd love to model, but everyone thinks I look too much like a teenager. :(

  • the really help(:

im dyinq to be a model...i stay at cali(:

but seriously i dont got that guts to qo out there....

    i subscribe.

BUT SERIOUSLY I HAVE A BIG QUESTION...DOES YOUR SPEAKING ABILITIES OR ''ACCENT''.....CAN BE ACCEPTABLE...?

    PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP.....!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH...OH HOW TALL I HAVE TO BE...IM LIKE 5'6

    I THINK...!

  • You can break the rules!!!

I have done fashion advertising at age 34 and I was only 5 '10. I made the stores and GQ mag.

I also DID IT MYSELF and had no agent! :-)

You just have to know how to work a look and have the BEST pics.

  • @iJustDontGiveAShit you know people who works at mc donalds in my city looks like models.

but what do you think about those supermodels who think they were once ugly? have you ever heard of bdd?(body dysmorphic disorder)?

  • @iJustDontGiveAShit Exactly. I'm sick of these ugly people out there who have this cocky confidence that they think will get them anywhere...

  • i have the passion for fashion! this is what I KNOW! it only took me the most stressful environment (high school) to realize that my future is behind camera lenses. I know i may not be tall enough i might not have the perfect facial features. but i don't care. for those who feel down and have the same problem this is probably not 4 u. cuz a tru model feeds off that negative criticism and becomes who THEY are. and THAT is what will make you fame. i believe each of us has an audience.BOOK IT!

  • I find this hilarious. How about another take?

Ah well, the info was there to read atleast.

  • ****SCAM ALERT***********************

This company will NOT PAY YOU. PROMOTIONAL MODELS/ BRAND AMBASSADORS STAY AWAY!!! NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY! I got the run around for 3 months saying payment was coming. I received dozens of emails saying: "Your check will be mailed out on Tuesday" A week later when I asked why I hadn't got my payment. Jena Hartman replied she wasn't going to pay! DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!

  • how to be a male model.... be tall and gorgeous.

  • @voss1551 and...have charm. :-)

  • @voss1551 well, picture models don;t have to be as tall as an average model, right?

  • @voss1551 how tall? and gorgeos? but in wich way?

  • @voss1551 actually i know a guy that's like 5'9 and is a model

  • @voss1551 That's pretty demeaning. Of course looks have a lot to with with it, but 60% of modeling is talent, personality and ability. Male modeling is an incredibly competitive and fast paced industry, and especially if someone is continuously prevalent in it, that person is more than just tall and gorgeous.

  • @voss1551 wat if ur gorgeous but not so tall or tall but not gorgeous?

    pick one

  • I modeled for 6 years. (Male model). Started when I was 15. After the 6th year I realized I didn't feel like I had accomplished anything. Quit, went to college and decided to get a medical degree. I'm in my 1st year of pre med now. One of my friends wants me to quit pre med and go back to modeling, she wants to be my agent. A lot of people have said it was a bad choice. "Not everyone can be a model, why quit if you are someone who can?" I'm happier now.

  • Does all models have to look perfect?

  • pretty much. Yes. Depends what line of work you'd do.

For commercial modelling, it's mostly the product people care about but the model's features need to attract attention as well..

For fashion, not everyone is good-looking. Depends on your taste, but what matters the most is strong facial bone structure, slim (female) or toned (male) body and confidence..

I'm sure you know this already but i hope i helped..

  • @LBJTV what is a strong facial bone structure? you mean no fat on the face? oblongt face or oval?

  • @GIA13615093 Well yeah..but when people say ''strong facial bone structure'', they mean the face has sleek bone structure that you can see..''defining'' bones lines on the jaw for example...no fatty chicken-looking necks or chubiness

  • @LBJTV yeah i'm also sick too about those cocky fugly people who thinks they looks so good and they even have the audacity to post their pictures for the world to see even when it's not worthy to be praise of. i've already decided that i can't be a model bcoz i don't take nice photos all the time. I'll rather stick to being a businessman or maybe a talent scout or if rich enough to have a modelling agency bcoz i know the difference between an extraordinary beauty from just a wannabee.

  • bollox

  • @R

andomCM Good for you man! Do what makes you happy :)

  • Who cares lol

  • Stressed much??

  • hey i want to be a model i think i have a face to be a nice model ..what do u think

see my channel and video fotos

  • Comment removed

  • u need to update your hairstyle find something that compliments the shape of your face a lil more edgey and i didn't see u with your shirt off butt u need to make sure u have a nice lean cut muscular body not too buff though

  • wow she is really bad at announcing stuff

get off the friggin stage!! lol

  • THIS IS AWFUL

  • you are right, this is HORRIBLE!

  • Can I know what's the characteristic to be a male model? we must be tall? always walk like this not like that? can any1 write 4 me! I need help

  • You gotta be atleast 5' 10 or over/

  • im in great shape but im 5'4 :(

  • Ah bad times...

  • there should be a video made by a male model this sucks

  • why are all the video's on how to become a male model chicks giving advice instead of men

  • mja3194 the reason is you need to go to the right country if i live in australia but am eurpean no chance in hell im gonna make it in australia i need to go to europe to make it as a model like megan gale australia denied her she went to europe made it big then finally australia took her and know shes australias megan gale which is bullshit

  • im aspiring on becoming a male model too.. im 19 and 6'6 feet tall is that too tall to model??

  • I'm 5'9 and want to be a male model, give me 4 inches, so ull be 6'2 and Ill be 6'1 then we both can be one!

  • i don't think i can just give you height budddy.. u need to work for it!! don be too hard on yoself!!

  • BE A BASKETBALL PLAYER

  • I believe 6'6 is too tall for most runways because you might have a difficult time fitting into the clothes. However, you might be able to become a print model or a fitness model.

  • Hi I'm 30 yrs of age, since I was a lot younger until now I still get asked by random ppl on the streets whether in NYC, Miami etc... if I model and if not I should. I've tried sending pics around, often get no response from the big agencies and others that do want thousands of dollars which can be discouraging. My question is, why is it that all these random ppl see it and the ones you hope see it as well don't?

  • @mja3194 people always thinks like that. people also thinks if i'm a model or i should model but i know i don't have a perfect body & i don't look good in cameras/videos all the time so you should know better. i've decided a long time ago modelling or being an actor is not for me.

  • height: 6 1

    weight: 160 pounds

    good enough for males?

  • wow thats is my exact height and weight

  • Hi I'm a 19yearold guy from denmark and has recently taken in an intrest of becoming a model and I was just wondering how i go about aplying myselft to agencies abroad. I am 6' feet tall and i weigh 182 and have brown hair dark eyes and what not, but how do i go about applying? since i am not interested in anything local in denmark

  • So when youré looking for international attention, you should be heading for some big, famous and trendy agencies... such as DNA Models, NY , Unique Models, Hamburg, or of course IMG Modeling ... So just surf the internet ,and you will find the right one for sure

  • try to contact an agency in copenhagen, im sure they r all always auditioning, if u have what it takes they will def give u a chance... or u could move to milan or nyc

  • Plenty of male models get started in Denmark. I think Mathias Lauridsen got started at Scoop Models in Copenhagen.

  • She seems remarkably nervous.

  • Ok DaJohnst44, ahm when you´re 24, 4´3 is really too small, you need to be at least 5´5 + . But yeah, the make expetions, so I sugest you just go to some agnecies and take an applcation... They can tell you exactly what they like or dislike.... that´s probably the best idea...

  • I'm 4'3 138 pounds and I look like an Owl. How are my chances? Good, Bad or really bad?

  • Ahm :

1.) how old are you ?

2.) 138 pounds to 4´3 is quite heavy, but depends on your body (sixpack, muscles ...)

3.) they prefer smaller, similiar shaped head types, so owl-like is not very good ....

4.) Overall your chances are not very good ... but yeah you have to see

  • sorry, my answer to that post was posted on the wrong place, it´s just on top of this one...

  • I'm 24 years old. I suffer from dwarfism and I workout a lot. I'm trying to show the people who suffer from the same disadvantages that I have. I get picked on a lot. I want to show the world the anything is possible.

  • im sure u could pull of a commercial in which a human metamorphazises into an owl ;)

  • U KNOW WHAT I AM DOING ALL THIS and seeing this video was just the part of it so i think this video dis not helps but gave me abit more confidante as for what i am doing is right

  • HAHAHAHA that's fucking halarious!

  • My mom says I'm gorgeous to.. Thats one thing me and you have in common.

  • hey my name is janice im a female im going to be 13 yrs old on july 11,2009 i live in washington and i want to be a model a lot of my friends tell me that i should try it but i dont know what to do im a nice person and i have gone to a casting for comercials but they were loking for twins and i didnt make it help me please.

  • Can someone become a model in a different country?

  • Im 180 cm -.-

But I have an amazing body.

My personal trainer told me to try it.

    Im 15 by the way.

  • Around 5'9'' -> 6'2''

  • what's the average height in a male model?!??

  • im 15 years old and im going to ask my mom if i can get into la models agencyy and everyone has been telling me that i look like i could model and ive gotten that a lot lately and im going to try it but im a lil nervous....any tips or advice??.....plz get back at me

  • she sucks

  • can anyone help me please?

like when u wanna model and it's a full time....u don't have a portfolio (as u are beginer) how do u go it then??

what's the different between catwalk casting model?? like the requirements?

  • You don't need a portfolio when you're just starting out! Concentrate on getting into an agency. All you need is a headshot and full body shot taken with a digi cam in natural lighting. Take it in your house or outdoors!

  • hey i actually am a fulltime male model and youproubably need a porfolio which is basiclly a folder with a couple proffessional pictures of yourself and some info about you like were they can contact you and if you need any more tips ask me

  • i have always wanted to do modeling. i am 21 6'0 and 177lbs. what are usually the stats agencies look for? i am also latin.

  • ah, please tell me this is a joke.

  • yea, this girl is remarkbly ineloquent...and very poor information.

  • Well i have the same problem zits, but especially gaining weight coz i have a fast metabolism..... i dont think a few zits matter but if u have full on acne

  • What if you have potential but your not quite there yet? For example zits or excess body hair? I think I build muscle pretty easily so I think Ive got that covered at least.

  • Im from australia and agencies are looking for non professional photos there looking for normal shots tooken by family members..

She also forgot to mention not everyone who has the passion for modeling can get into the agency you have to be the perfect weight perfect look to become a supermodel and if you want to be represented by the best agency

  • whats a freelance model????

  • a model without agency

  • lol wow, that was hard to watch

  • wamp wamp

  • fukin skett.. she had a hard time doing this... wack anouncer

  • But she did it, *applause*

  • haha yeah she wasnt very good.

  • Aww, I really like it! Thanks for the tips, Im waiting for a phone call from Elite miami. They said I look great and they will probably help me to make my first portfolio. I love these tips!

  • leave her alone! she did well xx thanks for the tip babes

  • Say what?

  • thanks

  • um, this bitch sucks at being an anouncer
