You don't seem to come much across as an ESFP, but more of an ENFP/ENTP mix. people vary a lot and it's common to have a person cross two personality types. To really know what a person is, one has to understand what drives them in life and all sorts of other stuff. lol

ISTP by Jung, actually. Too much of a phlegmatic failure at being anything one way or another to be MBTI testable, but usually in the order of xNxP.

Why not ESFP? There isn't much revealing material to type someone anyway in my opinion.
If not ESFP, though, I might suggest ENTP just because of a deep connection to the logical intricacies of a fantasy world common with other ENTPs..

only the self can identify what personality they are. If he thinks he is ESFP, he probably is ESFP.
It is a preference; what one prefers to use to function. He could be an ESFP, even if you don't think he is.
