i just came.. f@#$ excellante' wow even Jeff won't attempt these great studio leads, i found a live version done at a show on 7/3/76 & i was most dissapointed at his playing (a rare event)

but he just totally spazzes out , the tempo is too fast (typical live ) and theres little or no groove ..but man you just laid it down..great job..

Holy shit: excellent playing! Beck's Blow by Blow album is my favorite guitar album of all time. You know all the parts and execute them with great feel and precision. You're only 22 yrs old? that too is amazing. I know most younger players tend to gravitate toward shredding, metal-type music. I think you have great music/guitar skills and musical taste. Just Killer, shows how great ALL aspects of Jeffs playing are. IMO a guitar player HAS to learn note for note, then possibly move on once he's benn there, done that - anything else is just fakin' it, and this is coming from someone who couldn't play one minute of one of the three parts right twice in a row to save my life.

I think it's good to learn note for note IF the player can then make it his own and expand from there. Even Beck condemns "parroting" as he calls it.

Nice job, bro! I saw your Constipated Duck video too... very nice. One suggestion: It would be fine just to leave all guitar parts videos on instead of turning them on and off for little parts. Just my opinion. Otherwise: Brilliant, man!

one thing i noticed with the main riff is at the end where theres like that 15 14 15^17 bend thing, i think it sounds just like the actual song if u do a little "rake" picking type thing with a "d shaped" chord...so u would rake 14 on the g string, 15 on the b string, 14 on the high e, then do the 15 14 15^17 thing...idk if this is confusing, but thats what i do and it sounds accurate...

You could do that, In the video I just play 12 on the d 3 times in quick succession and then go 15 14 slide up to 17. Either way will work. If you want you can even bend 15 on the b up like 1.5 steps like the keyboard does
