Ohh damn.. I'm buying BulletProof Diesels Egr cooler and oil coller upgrade kit and just getting to the parts that need to be replaced does not look fun. New trucks suck that is for sure.....
FYI. The fan belt is easy to remove if you stick a breaker bar behind the the fan belt on the passenger side where it comes down from the alternator and pry the belt out. This will pull the tensioner for you. While holding it out there is a little lock button on the bottom of the tensioner that should be visible if you look down on the passenger side. Push it in and let off with the pry bar.when the new belt is on just give the belt a good tug and the lock will release by itself.
it really was not that hard it took me 6 hours and didnt reguire anything special as far as tools...oh yeah tscholent 2200.00 to ford for another weak failing part wow
Just loosen the alternator bolts and it will come right off without messing with the belt. Spray the bolts and let it sit overnight

Hang on to your 7.3's as long as you can! After that I guess we will have to start putting Cummins in our Fords.

I want an EGR Delete on my 05' 6.0. I'm loosing coolant and am worried that Its the EGR. Makes me regret not getting a Duramax or a Cummins.

easiest fix for the EGR problems on a 6.0: Buy a duramax.
