  • @TheEmilkl Thank you so very much!!

  • nice

  • @renjarehilary Thanks!!

  • God job man I just don't like that guitar affect it just sounds too old school

That's just my opinion but other than that your really good :)

  • @fernieflows21 Thank you so much!!

  • You got some serious groove going on brother.

  • @deadrat117 Why thank you very much my friend! Grooving is great isn't it? :)

  • sounds like aggressive elevator music.

  • @ryanchappel1 Yes it does! :)

  • @ryanchappel1 HA HA!! You made me spit coffee on mah screen!

  • Very nice

  • @66Ricas Thanks!

  • What dorian scale are you playing?? A?? It sounds like " A " Aeolian to me, not Dorian. Am I missing something?? Please enlighten me!! Thanks

  • @storysofarther It is dorian trust me...second tone of the major scale

  • @satchwayne What key are you playing??? Dorian D??, Dorian A?? what is your backing track playing?? What Chord(s)? Can't hardly hear, only hear drum tracks. Thanks!!!

  • @satchwayne what key?? What dorian key?? what is the backing track, playing??? ver hard to hear, only hear you guitar and drums!! Thanks

  • @storysofarther Difference between A Aeolian (A minor damnit :D) and A Dorian is one tone only...Dorian's sixth is sharpened. F to F#...a little difference makes wonders :D

  • @TheUnforgivenGenius, I played guitar, for many years, I know the differance between the two scales, and, just because of the fact, that it is only "one tone" differance, I think it makes it hard to differentiate between the scales, I consider myself much more fluent in the Aeolian scale, than the Dorian. You say " Aeolian" is " A minor damnit", but they are both minor scales, one just as much as the other! Again, what are you playing over? only hear drums & your guitar! thanx

  • @storysofarther Ok brother, I agree with you, but...Dorian isn't a minor scale. It has minor third, and minor seveth and all that stuff that make it minor, but it's sixth isn't minor. It just has a minor feel...

  • gotta love satch haha

  • yep, sorry

  • once again .its the dorian mode .played over a key signature .not a scale ..there is a difference... I see a bunch of posts on youtube that say guitar solo using dorian scale ,or locrian scale .They are modes used with a key signature ...any questions please ask ..

  • @tromollo yes dorian mode sorry for the mistake man.

  • @tromollo no prob Didnt mean to offend .just want to help ,

  • @tromollo would you care to explain the difference between modes and scales... i'm confused and you seem to be very informed about it

  • once again .its the dorian mode .played over a key signature .not a scale ..there is a difference...

  • I think the improvisation needs more flow, I don't really like these breaks sorry.

  • @yairoka Thanks for the tip....to each his own

  • i'm feeling some Satriani in this. Love it, nice job man.

  • @FearCycle Thanks a lot man! Satch is my main influence!

  • I really like your Ibanez guitar... It's pure black...

  • @whoosoo Thanks, I painted it though with a paint pen! Looks kinda like the black dog now

  • Very nice play !!! Thank you for sharing.

  • @Mirdasss Thanks very much!

  • cool, nice phrasing, great improvisation!

  • @6EELZE6U6666 Thanks a lot!!!

  • how did u know all the noes up the scale appropriate for the dorian scale in that key

  • Just using ear....play d to d in the c scale and you got dorian.

  • I guess Al Dimeola uses this scale a lot, eh?

    Great playing, Satch.

  • I think so....thanks!!

  • This is really good!

  • Thanks a lot!!

  • I looove bacon

  • ok the I looove is funny as hell but i bet this guy is better then you

  • It is not about who is better but about enjoying what you do!

  • Then eat some!

  • me too!

  • you remember me alex lifeson from rush

  • Alex Lifeson is a great guitarist!

  • What chords are you playing over

  • Honestly not sure because I got this online and I didn't bother figuring them out. Sorry.

  • Well.

This is my first youtube comment (since I'm using it for over 5 years), and I think this video deserves it.

I work as a coder and I must say listening your solos while playing is relaxing me a lot. Any chance of recording any of those jams in a bit higher quality?

My guitarist alter ego will steal some sound-producing techniques I saw in your Phrygian video, mostly tremolo (ab)use as I don't really have a good clue what to do with it.

Five stars man, keep on rocking.

  • Thanks so much!! Yes, I am not the video person but I am working on an HD video with this one guy.

  • I love you man! keep em comin!

Do you have a favorite scale?

  • Thanks so much man!! I feel the love! lol I really like mixolydian and phrygian a lot.

  • Hey Wayne! when you have time, can you make a video using the LOCRIAN in C. PLEASE!!!

  • I have one with Locrian

  • AND dorian is minor also yaaay!!!

  • Dorian is just the second tone in the major scale so going from D to D in the key of C would be D dorian

  • I wish this made proper sense to me! Beautiful playing here and girlfriend and I watch this together and enjoy it a lot

  • Cool thanks! Girlfriend watching too is even cooler!!

  • what is it lowered 6th?

  • Seventh tone of the major scale so let's see. B C D E F G A would be B locrian. B normally has five sharps which are F C G D A so I don't think it is just a lowered 6th.
