The two mics are not his fault--- they needed an amplifier, a sound mixer, effects post processor to boost the mid range and clamp the bass of Noam's voice. What is Noam's fault is the rambling five minute preface that he does. Don't get me wrong, I've listened to more Chomsky than most, and this is not one of his better speeches, but you know god bless him for going up there and helping intelligently process what's happening.
@900DucatiSS Why would you say something like that. I don't wish death on anybody, even the people I disagree with politically. You need to learn to have respect for different views.
@23lFrench Death comes to everyone, The sooner he stops spouting his pernicious nonsense to his cultist sycophant followers the better.
Respect for his views? Someone who spews his drivel about the USA being evil and a terrorist nation while living in the most expensive part of Cambridge Massachusetts? Someone who spews his socialist-anarchist nonsense so he can get rich while he censors people he disagrees with at MIT? Nope, no respect for the quintessence of hypocrisy that he is.
@900DucatiSS O no! Not a socialist anarchist! My worst nightmare! O no1!!!121` Wtf is a socialist anarchist? He's an anarcho-syndacalist.
Would you prefer Chomsky live in a hole in the ground while shedding light on the fact that the U.S. is the largest terrorist organization in the world? That doesn't sound too practical. Every person deserves to have a place to live, and so does Noam. Your logic here is reactionary and infuriating.
How does Noam Chomsky, a human being, censor anyone?
@stevman171 Ive seen anarchy in the aftermath of Katrina. You wouldn't last.
I actually would prefer that Chomsky would -not- live in a hole in the ground.
If you think that the USA is a terrorist organization you should leave. Are you lazy or another moral coward?
If the economic framework in the USA is something he as declared himself against he should take a stand and not benefit from it. Otherwise it's hypocritical.
Chomsky has censored his critics at MIT. He is an absolute hypocrite.

@loveearth3355 *edied for grammar* I was being facetious, I realize criticizing her qualities is inimical to unity and pluralism. Poor Chomsky - he is trying hard to be a good mentor to these young, disoriented and unfocused radicals. He purveys the lie to them, that this movement has the potential to effect change. He refuses to realized that the deluded dream he has lived with for so long, of leading his devotees to a socialist / anarchist revolt - is just that - a dream. These confused youngsters are looking for something else - and that certainly does not include COMMITMENT. Legalize pot, and they'll be happy.
@tstruss912 The elite aren't his audience, I doubt they take much notice, and most of them who come into contact with his views probably are too indoctrinated to comprehend them.
@autoarbitaster You've never read all the hateful articles and letters about Chomsky? Google it sometime. The elite hate him with all their heart. He is the worst of the worst in their minds: a guy who should have been one of them, or at least quiet....but he went traitor on them. They hate his guts. I love his guts.
Hahahaha. @LogicalFlawDetector Two million for being a world-famous professor, speaking every week, and putting out about 100 books is not that much. He could have made much, much more if he would have been a good boy and gone along with power, like you. Also, the 1% slogan is bullshit--Chomsky has said so. It's the FRACTION of one percent that is politically active that is the problem, not the 1%. They just use that number because it's easy on the ears. P.S. What about the protests scares you?
@AltairEgo1 The 1% thing? Ya....I really want to know who came up with that bullshit...it made it too easy for the elite to declare "class warfare". It should have been framed in some other way...how, I'm not sure. I'm sure Lakoff would have some ideas.
Yeah, it gives them too much room to call people like Chomsky a hypocrite (even though it should be obvious to others that it's a glaring fallacy). Hell though, they might as well not criticize anything then. Don't complain about traffic congestion, because without roads they'd have to walk to work.
You want this guy heard, plan better, watch some youtube videos about PA placement, gain structure and using an eq effectively. how embarrassing for you.
