As much as I want Brian and the band to have fame, and success, it disturbs me to seen 799,992 views on this. When bands get famous and big, it kind of takes away from the intimacy of the music. These guys will always be number one to me, forever and always, and it just kills me to have people saying their the biggest fan, when they don't know the meaning of what The Gaslight Anthem is about, or least of all, even the lyrics.

Compare this with Say I Won't, then listen to Here's looking at you, kid then Boxer, then Film Noir, then I Coulda Been a Contender, then The Queen of Lower Chelsea. After you've done that you will understand that they have loads of variety. All bands have their own sound and TGA definitely have a style that they like to work in but they still have loads of original tracks.
@BENDO789 Dont get me wrong. They got a lot of great tracks with a original sound. But come on Im board hearing the same riffing with a different melody on lots of their tracks. Its a catchy riff. But when do you draw the line of "original" when ive already heard the band use that riff in 12+ of their songs or should I say half of the 59 sound. I have 6 strings and 22 frets, Theirs a time to be creative instead of lets use this because its easy and catchy. It becomes stail to my ears. Sorry :(

@TomFromJersey The Gaslight was a club in New York that Bob Dylan and many other Folk greats played at and since the band was heavily influenced by old folk music they took the name The Gaslight Anthem

Bruce Springsteen among other HUGE artists dont just "back" a shitty "power chord" band. This is gaslight anthem not led zeppelin. Give me 3 simple chords and the truth. Save your "million" notes and solos for someone that doesnt have something to say.

ill never forget when i saw them 2 months ago in philly and alex L. was just hangin out in the souvenier stand and i thought it was so surreal i couldn't find the courage to ask him for an autograph or a picture, and he walked by me and said excuse me and didnt notice i was staring the whole time amazing

I've not once had problems hearing his voice. I love that voice, especially on the first album (Sink or Swim) where it's so raw.
