yes I use Zsnes and to set it up to go right to the emulator right click on a .smc file and go to properties then change the program that opens it.

I finished that pretty much. When I almost finished the overworld screwed up and I couldn't do anything. I gave up after that. Have fun with it, it can get pretty damn confusing. Yes, it was a screw attack orb
