That fight was garbage. I cannot believe Vitali didn't knock out KJ. It's not as though KJ was running around the ring, holding or had an incredible defence. I agree bigragu, Vitali will dominate him. That's why he picked him as his next fight so soon after Arreola. A couple of of observations, Vitali (and Wladimir) are extremely level-headed in the ring. They stay with the planned strategy. They are very intelligent, hence their post graduate degrees in Law and sports medicine. I don't see any contenders on the horizon that can seriously challenge them, including Haye.

To be honest, I suppose faster end then most of predictions do. Vitali can end it up in 6 or 7 round. Johnson can have a good deffense and stamina but Vitali is simply much mor better.

There's nobody for the Klitschko's, not one heavyweight fighter out there except maybe Fast Eddie Chambers (who I reckon will just get beaten and stopped exactly like the rest) or David Haye, but the interesting thing about Haye is he could be stopped earlier than their past opponents or stop them, he's got that kind of power and that kind of chin.

Look, I admit, tyson was fighting the bum of the month on his way up. He was also fighting once a month every month for at least 2 years leading up to the Berbick fight. In defence of his own title and capturing 2 others tyson dicisioned and koed people who would have been great champions without mike in the division, Bonecrusher Smith, Toney Tucker& Michael Spinks to name a few. The Klictchkos would not unify with the beatable giant or fight each other. The only heavyweight fight worth watching

It's frustrating that we cannot find a good match for the Klitschko's they should reconsider fighting against each other for the sport of boxing more so for the HW division. But I understand them i wouldn't fight my big bro for a money as well or any reason. I don't know man, the HW is not exciting anymore. Klitschko's are good and that's just about it. No one can match them at this moment and I have a feeling they might retire dominating the HW division.
I love the fact that they are boxers. They rely on their skill instead of just going for the KO. It just so happens that they have very good power and the KO's come anyway. I don't find their styles boring because I know how hard it is to be that good at boxing. I appreciate them for that. But I would love to see someone test them!
In boxing wise, the jab should be the fighter's religious, tall or short. The jab is the way to keep your distance for the tall and the jab is the way to get inside for the short. Respect everything you said. Chris Byrd went into that fight on some serious short notice however, look at him and you'll see James Toney Jr. in that fight. Regardless a boxer should always be ready for the right opportunity for something to come up, especially when your a top contender like Vitali Klitchko. He went into the fight with Lewis in top physical shape and made it a full time commitment unlike alot of boxers who slug off, oppurtunities always come just like for Arreola.

He was out of boxing for 4 years to heal up. I think the rest did him wonders and may have added years onto his career. But at 38 how old is his body? Even with the rest. 37? 36? 42?! We just don't know.
I know for a fact that Vitaly trains all year long. There are no parties, no drinking or fooling around. Family and charity work are the only other things he cares about. He may last more than average age because he is always in top shape.
Never seen Johnson fight being from the UK but would be shocked with anything other than a Vitali win.
I think the point you raised about Vitali's age is spot on and could come to play if he ever fights Haye. If that fight is to take place it will probably be in 12 to 18 months providing Haye beats Ruiz, so if his skills do deteriorate a bit then maybe Haye will have a chance to utilise his speed and power. I'd much rather Haye fights Wlad if hes to fight a Klitschko though.
It has to come into affect some time. I think Haye is going to bide his time. If Vitali looks dominant again it could be longer than a year. As for Wlad, he's the younger Brother, less chin and power than Vitali. But he moves quicker and boxes more. Haye would try to overwhelm him and I don't see it happening anytime soon. Haye has some "D" things to work on. But I think his time is coming.
I know hes looking very good at the moment. The point i was trying to make and bigragu raised in his excellent analysis was how long can he continue to fight at that level. Hes 38 now and will probably be 40+ if and when he fights Haye.
I'm sure he will be able to maintain a good level of fitness well into his 50's but that doesn't mean his boxing abilities will also be maintained. Just because he has a Phd in sports science doesn't make him impervious to ageing. Age will catch up with him and will reduce his speed, power and timing. If Haye's lucky then this will happen in the next few years.

I agree bigragu, Vitali will dominate him. That's why he picked him as his next fight so soon after Arreola. A couple of of observations, Vitali (and Wladimir) are extremely level-headed in the ring. They stay with the planned strategy. They are very intelligent, hence their post graduate degrees in Law and sports medicine. I don't see any contenders on the horizon that can seriously challenge them, including Haye.

Agreed. There's nobody for the Klitschko's, not one heavyweight fighter out there except maybe Fast Eddie Chambers (who I reckon will just get beaten and stopped exactly like the rest) or David Haye, but the interesting thing about Haye is he could be stopped earlier than their past opponents or stop them, he's got that kind of power and that kind of chin.

Look, I admit, tyson was fighting the bum of the month on his way up. He was also fighting once a month every month for at least 2 years leading up to the Berbick fight. In defence of his own title and capturing 2 others tyson dicisioned and koed people who would have been great champions without mike in the division, Bonecrusher Smith, Toney Tucker& Michael Spinks to name a few. The Klictchkos would not unify with the beatable giant or fight each other. The only heavyweight fight worth watching

It's frustrating that we cannot find a good match for the Klitschko's they should reconsider fighting against each other for the sport of boxing more so for the HW division. But I understand them i wouldn't fight my big bro for a money as well or any reason. I don't know man, the HW is not exciting anymore. Klitschko's are good and that's just about it. No one can match them at this moment and I have a feeling they might retire dominating the HW division.

I love the fact that they are boxers. They rely on their skill instead of just going for the KO. It just so happens that they have very good power and the KO's come anyway. I don't find their styles boring because I know how hard it is to be that good at boxing. I appreciate them for that. But I would love to see someone test them!

In boxing wise, the jab should be the fighter's religious, tall or short. The jab is the way to keep your distance for the tall and the jab is the way to get inside for the short. You see guys that throw jabs and jabs and they're pieces of crap because they're predictable and no authoritiy and because of that they greatly underestimate it. Respect everything you said. Chris Byrd went into that fight on some serious short notice however, look at him and you'll see James Toney Jr. in that fight. Regardless a boxer should always be ready for the right opportunity for something to come up, especially when your a top contender like Vitali Klitchko. He went into the fight with Lewis in top physical shape and made it a full time commitment unlike alot of boxers who slug off, oppurtunities always come just like for Arreola.

I know for a fact that Vitaly trains all year long. There are no parties, no drinking or fooling around. Family and charity work are the only other things he cares about. He may last more than average age because he is always in top shape.

Never seen Johnson fight being from the UK but would be shocked with anything other than a Vitali win.
I think the point you raised about Vitali's age is spot on and could come to play if he ever fights Haye. If that fight is to take place it will probably be in 12 to 18 months providing Haye beats Ruiz, so if his skills do deteriorate a bit then maybe Haye will have a chance to utilise his speed and power. I'd much rather Haye fights Wlad if hes to fight a Klitschko though.

It has to come into affect some time. I think Haye is going to bide his time. If Vitali looks dominant again it could be longer than a year. As for Wlad, he's the younger Brother, less chin and power than Vitali. But he moves quicker and boxes more. Haye would try to overwhelm him and I don't see it happening anytime soon. Haye has some "D" things to work on. But I think his time is coming.

I'm sure he will be able to maintain a good level of fitness well into his 50's but that doesn't mean his boxing abilities will also be maintained. Just because he has a Phd in sports science doesn't make him impervious to ageing. Age will catch up with him and will reduce his speed, power and timing. If Haye's lucky then this will happen in the next few years.

Eddie Goldman is starting to think that Vitali's getting brittle. Didn't think that was the case with Arreola but we'll see. People keep talking about Vitali getting old like he's already 50. The man trains everyday and makes his training and dedication like a religion. Just like B-Hop or George foreman, guys like these can stick around for a long time.
