use a car as a mold and form aluminum foil around it. place the aluminum foil car on tracks and hit with your train. it'll crumple like a real car does when hit.
I use to do that all the time. even making a chasy out of it too and using the wheels off of other vehicles. You have to have some weight to is so I'd tape a penny or dime to the chasy. Otherwise it just pushes it around. Train sets get boring sometimes so I'd come up with way to spice it up. Have fun and post the results! ;-)
I use leftover ballast for limestone to put in my hoppers. you could also get that colored gravel that they put at the bottom of fish tanks (black stuff).
where did you get that conrail engine with the round cab roof?

You can get a relatively cheap system from Digitrax. It is wonderful once you get it.
jpaufsc 2 years ago
is it compatible with bachmann decoders?
flyboy8492 2 years ago
I think it is compatible with any decoder. The only thing is that it may require a special programming track.
jpaufsc 2 years ago
hmm, I wonder if I can afford a MTH decoder...
flyboy8492 2 years ago
BAAAHH!!! I mean system!!!
flyboy8492 2 years ago
The Digitrax Zephyr is what I have. I might upgrade to a NCE power cab.
jpaufsc 2 years ago
I heard powercab isnt very userfriendly. then again, the people I know arent exactly model railroaders. only what they read.
flyboy8492 2 years ago
I didn't do a lot of research on it but I will when I do get a new system.
