  • Sorry, but i guess i somehow missed the tactics wich used to be in Martial Arts...

    Especially the ground parts.

All kind of submissions were possible there, but none were applied.

    (sorry for my English)

  • another video ruined by this song

  • Say im in the DEP leaving here on the first of August for boot camp...so the sooner i can get a response to this would be great!

Is this what my MOS training would be for Security Forces? Or is this just for someone to learn how to each the MCMAP part of the MOS?

  • @RidethewindOfWoW All Marines do MCMAP in boot camp and earn their tan belt. In the Security Force MOS (8152) you will not necessarily get the training in this video. This video is the martial arts instructor course. Only NCOs and officers can attend. The MOS for MA instructors is 0916 and is a secondary MOS. You can try and go to the school once you are in the fleet and are an NCO.

  • @ltsouthusmc Ah thank you i forgot i had made this post before I left for recruit training, that is all i wanted to know :) thank you

    oorah!

  • @RidethewindOfWoW Sweet :) I am leaving foor bootcamp in 2 days so...kinda nice to know that part at least now :) thanks

  • i love how they always show a bunch of dumasses with the most epic song behind them

  • @SANDWORMGUMMIES dumbasses huh? what have you done with your life in 19 years?

  • @ltsouthusmc jack off and go to school what about you ... so you mean these guys are 19 year vets dam they must be made of metal like the metal playing in background spetsnaz is way cooler, why dodge bullets and climb up moving trucks when you can just walk into the battlefield because guns jam when they aim at you ... im retarded i dont know wtf im talking about your right these guys rock

  • Comment removed

  • @SANDWORMGUMMIES i aint a marine but i am a martial artist. and these are some tough dudes. they do shit that we aint got the balls to

  • This all very informative!

  • You seem like someone who knows the combat system and also answers questions about it. My question is whether some grappling moves are practical without the groin protector. I mean, without rules, I would definitely go for kneeing the groin for diversion and then start pounding ribs or neck in instead of all kinds of submission locks.

  • @An0niempje all the grappling moves are practical and applicable without the groin protectors. in fact, striking the groin is encouraged in mcmap.. it's a softening blow, used to open up the enemy for a variety of attacks/counter attacks/finishing moves.

anything you can think of that you would do to "totally destroy a mutha fucka if he tried that on me" has been thought of already and implimented into the mcmap curriculum. what's seen here in this video is a fraction of what mcmap is all about

  • @halloweenjack31 I hate it when anyone, from any system, claims they have "thought of everything".

That is ALWAYS bullshit. If you think you have covered everything, you are not improving, and when you are not improving, you fail.

I'm not saying that I can defeat a macmap master, but there are (most likely) more ways to do it then there are mcmap moves.

My question about groin strikes was because you are exposing the groin around 4:35. It looks like you could get a knee in during that scene

  • @An0niempje not a marine here but i am a martial artist. it just depends on whos doing the fighting. ive been in fights where i just choke em out and let them go to sleep, when im being nice. if i wanna be a dick ill hit em with some elbows and punches or whatever. its just what im thinking while im tossin em around. just what i feel like doing. youll prolly do the same. just be like, eh imma let him off easy and choke him out. or this guy is gonna get punched a few times

  • If that are the insructors I don't want to think about the deciples...

My sisters fight better than than these ladies even without any preaparation

  • well technically you can...they teach MCMAP at boot camp and recruits are not yet Marines. If you want to learn, join.

  • Theres no way to take a MCMAP course unless your actually a marine correct?

  • My bad 4:15! Nice counter and take down

  • Comment removed

  • lol @ 1:20 haha "Oh shit,...FUCK this" and storms in!

  • One of the Gracies got the contract to teach the marines so mostly what they learn now is just a form of Gracie ju-jitsu

  • Mcmap is always fun, but the pt is hell

  • i think there will be 9 parts to the tv documentry-semper fi and stay safe-oldsgtmajusmc

  • glad to here that you guys are still gung ho- i just finished watdhing part 3 of Pacific made by tom hanks-excellent show and story of the old breed- semper fi from oldsgtmajusmc to all

  • @oldsgtmajusmc how many parts are there?

  • whats the story it seems like the marines are going more and more to the ground like army combatives training-what happened to stand up elows-clawing eyes chokes palm forearm strikes-you do not want to go to ground with gear on-whitewolf sends (ret. sgtmaj)

  • We still teach all the standing fighting you mentioned and more. MCMAP has a full belt system that is a hybrid of MANY martial arts to include lethal, non-lethal, standing ground, weapons, unarmed, etc. for some reason we only got ground fighting and knife fighting on video...

  • itsouthusmc-glad to hear that-we did not have that mcmap when i was in -what we did have and i hear its still in place is the spirit of the warrior-sempar fi SgtMaj Ret

Luntz 1958-1980-i own a self defense school in clarksville tn

  • u should understand this...sometimes the OPPONENT will take it to the ground..if u dont teach ground tactics the Marine dont stand a chance..they teach on feet and on ground tactics..U SHOULD KNOW THAT if ur a retired sgtmaj

  • Marinekid17-first- when i was in they did not have mcmap-second-when mcmap first started it was "how to disable/kill- now it is getting as i said before more into mma style-not good marine not good-they need to reintridcue WW2 tactics plus some of krav maga-not roll around the ground with a pack helmet wpn ammo water on .also go back into use of a knife more-whitewolf (ret. usmc)

  • @oldsgtmajusmc I think its because our boys in green and tan are serving much more of a police role overseas. Things need more control then pure combat. The fights are starting at 1 foot while searching someone instead of 6. At least this is my guess why there has been a grappling explosion last few years.

  • @oldsgtmajusmc no worries SgtMaj. we still do all that good stuff!

    Semper Fi!

  • the Russian have a far supior fighting system then the US marines

and I am ashame to admit this but maybe even the British Royal marines as well

  • Mcmap is a good system but the marine corp uses it like a bunch of panzy imo they train us to kill and always say practice like we play but all during train the officers are like be careful and they dont give you enough time in the fleet to work on it but once again this is my opinion

  • In other words, you don't have any answers to my question. kudos to WII10441, I agree with you man, totally.

  • Marines know shit.

  • haha you didn't couldn't get in could you? FAIL

  • Краповые береты круче=)

  • the US marines know every dirty trick in the book. which makes them unstoppable.

  • I agree with you,man.

  • I wonder how does a marine fare up to an MMA fighter.

  • search:

Marines in the UFC MMA WEC

    its been done b4 =]

  • @Yeo1000 No comparison.

  • nice vid. What is the name of the last song ?

  • 0351"s OohRaaa GtG

  • id like to see black belt bc for brown belt this is awesome. i thought this was like the highest until i read the description

  • Ok isn't there another song out there to post with these videos? Jesus Christ I think all the bodies already hit the floor, there are none left. Fuck that song!

  • Mama by Chemical Romance or maybe Uriah Heep "lady in black"

  • @JBCsuxHaHa LOOOOOL

  • @JBCsuxHaHa That made my day. :D

You should also say "THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU FOR KEEP USING THIS SONG!"

  • OOORAH!!!! MARINE CORPS!!! 0311 rifleman!! \../

    Security forces

  • I want to say THANK YOU U.S. MARINES FOR YOUR SACRIFICE AND SERVICE!!! I ALSO WANT TO SAY TO ALL THE TRAITORS THAT ARE TALKING DOWN TO THESE WARRIORS THAT THEY CAN GO FUCK THEMSELVES AND THEIR MOMS FOR GIVING THEM BIRTH!!! PICK UP A WEAPON AND A RUCKSACK AND TAKE YOUR SORRY ASSES TO IRAQ OR AFGHANISTAN AND PROVE YOUR SELF IN COMBAT , THEN COME IN THIS ROOM AND SHARE WHAT WORKS OR FROM THIS POINT FORWARD SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! All styles have something to offer so think before you speak! go USA

  • i would like to inform you that ur caps lock has been pushed while u were typing. that was just a heads up

  • People tend to forget that military martial arts DO NOT focus on unarmed combat. It is focused on weapons fighting and how to utilize weapons of opportunity effectively. It also teaches to STAY AWAY from the ground because you will always have multiple opponents and you will be fucked if you go to the ground. MCMAP teaches Jiu Jitsu anyway just in case fights turn out that way, but people this is NOT MMA. There are no rules in combat. You get someone's back you crank his head, not choke.

  • For the most part civilian sector has better martial arts training by far. The best military martial artist do additional training or have civilian instructors on site.

  • Itsouthusmc knows what he's talking about. Try your muay thai with a combat load against an enemy and see what happens jackass.

Anyway, I trained there at Marine Security Forces, and was happy to see everyones favorite suppl corporal earning his tab :D Semper Fi from K-Bay.

  • Ok I am not going to get in a pissing match over you tube but when I said I have trained with with special ops I was referring to US special ops. I have trained or fought with US Special Forces (Seals, Green Berets, Korean Navy Seals, Korean Marines, British Royal Marines, Japanese Defense Force, Royal Saudi Marines, Force Recon etc) I have a bit of combat experience and YES I do carry 60 plus lbs of gear on a regular basis in combat.

  • I am not the type to make stuff up about the military and I have a little credibility to my claims. I am a Marine Officer in a specialized unit and I posted this video for purposes none other than showing the MCMAP program. I NEVER said this system is better than any other rather more practical in a COMBAT environment which is what we as Marines train for daily.

  • i am a muay thai fighter and i would pick muay thai over anything in the marines most special forces units train in muay thai

  • ok NO special Ops units train Muay Thai. Muay Thai is the MOST impracatial martial art for a combat environment. Muay Thai is a great martial art but is not useful with 60+ lbs of gear. Thanks for your comment but make stuff up. I have trained with all of the special ops units and they all have hybrid forms of martial arts just like the Marines, and are all very strikingly similar.

  • ok now i KNOW you havent trained the the special forces the GIS (gruppo intervento speciali) italian special forces train muay thai, NOCS so do the GROW (canadian special forces) thai special forces, GSG9, and if you knew ANYTHING about special forces which i can tell you have no clue just a jackass over the computer thinking he knows they dont carry 60 pound gear every single damn mission, learn your shit before you open your mouth

  • Yes it's stupid to get into a pissing match on youtube about what style is better because when you get down to it they're all very similar but I do think to many Marines by into the hype to much and get defensive when their method is questioned ( not necessarily referring to you). In real situations people usually only perform to a fraction of there ability in practice so if it's poorly taught and performed in drill it's not likely to be useful in combat. Less oorah boot bs and better training.

  • training to score points or knockout your enemy is different when the end result is to kill mame or save your own life.

Keep training for the square circle, and let the field professionals and warriors do what they do.

  • I agree, combat is not about being pretty. It is about winning and keeping yourself capable of advancing to the next fight. This is especially true when it come to close quarter combat. You must be an efficient killer. It's a dog fight, and only the toughest dog will survive! Yes technique should be done properly during training and drilled correctly as this will cause the Marine to react without thinking in close quarter combate (Auto pilot).

    Semper Fidelis! Marines..

  • this training is realistic with the blend of knife fighting and bjj !!!!!!!!!

  • Army unarmed combat is not like in a fucking gym. I´m ex Brit Amy and i know this. A lot of peole here are ``èxperts`´ ! what e learn and you learn in America is ok. I hate reading in you Tube that the Legion is the best. Load of fucking TOSS.

  • 1:35 that ground fight with kinfe is pretty impressive.

  • The only style we need is killing style... The Marines do 2 things, kill people and blow shit up. We aint trying to make you submit or pin you to the ground.. we're trying to kill you, thats what we do. There is no 2nd place in combat.

  • were trained to act quick and nueetrralize our target, we really dont pay attention to style, its alot different when you are in combat trust me how you look or whether you are sloppy that shit doesnt matter

  • Technique and style are two different things. It's ok that it doesn't look pretty. It's not ok if they're flat out doing the technique wrong. The marines seem to be putting to much emphasis on shouting oorah and making the training hardcore than drilling proper technique. Most of the training time should be drilling. The over emphasis on brute strength defeats the purpose.

  • And what was that combat proven system? LINE? LINE was a joke. Head high stomps??That is what i was taught when I came in the Corps 11 years ago. It was a waste of time. They phased that out finally in 2000. MCMAP is VERY combat related but we do not always train in full gear. MCMAP is many techniques taken from many martial arts. ( BJJ, Judo, Karate, Aikido, Kenpo, Karate, etc.) MCMAP is VERY similar to Krav Maga. There is NO more combat related martial art that Krav Maga.

  • hey none of these guys have technique you know that rite i mean ive only been doing brazillian jiu jitsu 5 years but yah an if thats how they do it then there doing it wrong:(

  • Thanks for the constructive criticism. I am do mean that in a sarcastic way. Keep in mind these are students. They are not freakin ninjas. I doubt you were any better when you first started BJJ. And if your training is solely in BJJ then I will assume you were just referring to the ground fighting. It is hard to criticize technique when you have never learned the technique yourself. Ground fighting is just a fraction of what we do.

  • There was absolutely no technique used in this video

  • No technique huh? Have you even trained martial arts? at all? It may not be YOUR technique but it is technique none the less. And it works. trust me.

  • Yes I have sir. I was spent three years in the 82nd and was did some of the Army combatives. It was just coming in as I was getting out. Since I've been out I've done some muy thai and i currently train at a gracie academy. I thought i knew the basics until i went to these places and got dealt with easily. I have been watching a lot of mcmap vids and the technique on a lot of these guys is beyond sloppy. The way they train it's just as likely to put them in a bad position

  • BJJ & Muay Thai is not fit for the military. You should know this m8.. In combat the last thing you want to do is end up on the ground, & i can't imagine with your gear on how it would work. This looks alot like Krav Maga. Not technically sound but designed to cause serious harm to the enemy.

  • Everybody says that but if look at what they're teaching most of it's taken from various martial arts such as bjj, muay thai, etc. Bjj is not about liking the ground, it's knowing what to do if you end up there. Bjj is very self defense oriented depending on where you learn. Some places are more sport oriented some more self defense.

  • Good answer!

  • so glad the military caught up with the times ,for many years the martial arts taught could have put guys in bad spots, and a big thanks to you all ,my son got his purple heart in good ole Iraq 172cnd 10th mnt div

  • nothing good about it idiot.

  • The training knives have felt with lipstick on the cutting edges of the blade. The White t-shirts are so that you can determine where the blade strikes your opponent. Killing blows are evaluated at the end to determine the winner.

  • looks like good training but what's with the white t-shirts?

  • 03 oorah!!

  • What a bunch of pussies! Just playin got tons a love for Tco.

  • This is the school in Chesapeake. You will not advance belts in BSG but you will do MCMAP and MACH tactics. Once you get to FAST (assuming you go) you will have the opportunity to advance your belt. This is the MAI course that is open for MCSF NCOs and above. I recommmend you try and attend once you are eligible.

  • Ah, cool. I was pretty confused because my recruiter told me I couldn't just do MCSF I had to go in with an 03.. So I'm going into infantry afterwards. I don't mind if what he told me wasn't true, still proud to serve. Off to boot 20090112. Thanks again, Marine.

  • B billets are any MOS between 8000 and 9599 (except 8412 & 8421). It's like MSG 8151, Recon 0321 or Sniper 8541 (now 0317). All require that you qualify and most require you to go through an indoc process too. I wasn't in Recon, nor was I a Sniper. I was an ANGLICO SSgt (not a B billet). You're right though, you can't join up right into a B billet or SDA. Most of them, you need to be an NCO or SNCO. SDA's (Special Duty Assignments) are Recruiter, Career Planner, Combat Instructor and DI etc.

  • you don't mind if your recruiter lied to you? Your dumbass is right where you belong. In the marines with the other dumbasses.

  • What's with all these guys saying their MOS is Security Force? I thought MCSF is a B Billet and your actually assigned to an 03 MOS such as 0311. If MCSF is an MOS, can anyone tell me the code number?

  • dam, brings back memories. Trained there back in 07, I remember that mount town inside and out still like the back of my hand.

  • the difference is vast

  • Thats ironic in the begining because my opinion is that marines are the spartans of todays world

  • yeah i know i always thought that marines are the monder day spartans too lol my mos is security force and im goin to bootcamp this august OOOORAH SEMPER FI

  • and they will always be, unless mr obama in all his wisdom decides to lift the ban on women in the infantry.if he does that he'd prolly get assasinated!

  • It is not Ray Zavala. Sorry.

  • oorah im of to boot in nov. 24 and my mos is security force

  • I remember seeing these guys come back dead tired each day after they got done.. Rah.

  • oohrah

  • Cool Logo...Who Designed It?

  • Not really sure? It was changed to this one recently. Was it you?

  • sweet going in as this MOS. boot april 30th
