@PlumMacho222 ....probably not the boss itself is at level 60 (i have a guide) and generally for bosses i like to be at the same level. you may beat her if your clever but it'd be pretty tough

i used a level 60 dragoon, devout, summoner, and ninja

heal everyone every turn, devout would summon the most high level monsters, ninja would throw shuriken, and dragoon would jump in the air and attack

all had the best equipment possible.

no arrows (i ran out before the boss not knowning i had none), Ribbon, Black Garb, Diamond Gloves.

just keep using Advance on the left Tenticle untill it's dead, use mage on the right Tenticle untill it's dead, then go nuts on COD using haste on your warrior and make him use advance (it should say 9999 but it does about 25,000), each time it uses Perticle Beam you use Curaja. in no time you'll rape it

@kieranfivestars I usualy do the opposite, for the reason that I'm sick of seeing female healer sterotype (Luckily, Dragon Quest usually do it the other way around) In my first playtrhough, Luneth was a Dark Knight, Arc a Devout, Refia a Ninja and Ingus was a Summoner when I defeated her for the first time. All level 58.

@NeoArashi I don't know how you could complete this multiple times, the random encounters take so long because of the sequences it makes the game unbearable.

I got to crystal tower at like level 45 and had to level up to about 55 by the time i got to final boss i got about another 5 levels. I didnt use summoner, arc black belt, luneth dark knight, refia devout, ingus dragoon. bought about 20 shurikens in the cave and they deal 9999 damage.

Beat her with no problem what-so-ever; I went on to kill the infamous level 83 Iron Giant too :D

Whew, i just had the longest back and forth battle with this boss... My team was about level 55/56,

I had Lunneth as a Dark Knight

Refia as a Devout

Arc as a Bard

and Ingus as a Ninja

At two points everyone but Refia was dead, but i finally pulled it off in the end, best come from behind victory in any RPG i've ever played :)

Arc Was a book person and did like 6000 damage each attack

Refia was first a White sage but i changed it to Magus and she did like 5000 damage on the tough guys

Ingus was a Red sage with an attack of almost 9999.

I actually picked this team because these were the guys in the movie intro in the game that were shown.

Omg This fight was way to easy for me... Team Luneth - Black Belt Arc - Ranger Refia - Magus Ingus - Onion Knight All at Lvl 60 And Arc had a job level of 75 50 higher than the rest of my team So every time i put barrage i would get "Its over 9999!" (9999 every time i hit barrage)

My final party was Luneth- Ninja, Arc- Devout, Refia- Magus, and Ingus- Dragoon. Most people would disagree with me but this was a pretty great party with only Refia dieing last second by mistake during my first fight.

God it was this fight that made me love the spell Flare...

I went in with Luneth as my Ninja, Arc as my Sage, Refia as my Devout, and Ingus as my Dragoon. I forgot to put Luneth and Ingus in the back row, so they died as soon as she used Particle Beam, and I couldnt keep them alive at all...

So my fight plan included casting protect on my mages, Curaga/Ja every turn, Casting Flare on her every chance I got with my sage, and using Elixers to fill up my mp... LOOOOOOOONG ASS FIGHT... but i won

@neopabo First you need to free the warriors of darkness. Unless you have really bad equipment, she shouldn't do that much damage to you. Defeat the four fiends at the different portals and the warriors will attack her and reduce the damage she does and how much hp she has. I had Aegis shields to counteract the status effects so defense with the Crystal equipment was no problem for me at all.

the best tip i can give is that a warrior with the ultima weapon and ragnarok can hit very high :) my highest hit with that combo was a little over 47k (it was with a critical though) i'm not sure how good other people can hit but i think that is a fairly good hit since i was under lvl 50.....any other tips please let us know

I used a viking with 2 shield to take all the damage,a sage to heal, a dragoon to jump, and a ninja to throw. It works well because I beat this boss at level 46 and im not joking

@SweetLilipup Because Odins attack is not a damage attack, its casting a spell called Death... which is just like a status effet = Miss a lot

He's mainly known for when he starts out, he's incredibly weak. at about lvl 50, he's about the same as everyone else, and at level 100, he's game breaking. Square Enix realized how popular he was, so they made him the main character representing FF3 in Dissidia Final Fantasy.

@SolMasterzzz I don't know if you've beat the game yet, but I can tell you how to get level 50 - 99 level and job levels easy ha-ha. For job level, go back to the start of the game (Town of Ur) kill off all your members but one, then when you're in a fight guard 4 times then attack, you should get a job level every single time. For levels walk around in the first floor of crystal tower until you find 2 - 3 "Blauks" gaurd the first time until they summon "Kum Kum"KillHimOver&Over-8.3kExpEa­chKill

Before I battled the cloud of darkness I always made sure all my characters had over four thousand hp and most of them could hit over 9000 damage!

@tfla11 She kills you that time no matter what u do... after that the people you helped thruout the game come and give u life, and you then go around a space type world and kill 4 or so bosses there... after that u can fight it properly. hope i helped - bern

I had trouble with this boss, more so than with any other, simply because I came in at too low of a level. Once I found my copy of it, I made sure to level grind a lot before coming into the fight. You can't do anything to this boss when you're Lv. 52... T^T

Luneth- Freelancer- Ultima Weapon and Crystal Shield

Arc- Red Mage- Excalibur and Petrification Staff

Refia- White Mage- Elder Staff and Petr. Staff

Ingus- Warrior- Giant Axe and Ragnarok

Only Luneth and Refia had to stay alive though. After the first two died I just spammed Curaja, protect, Ultima Weapon and White Musk like mad

@xehta13 theres a hidden boss in the game. you can fight it before the cloud of darkness though, but its an INSANLEY HARD boss. the hidden boss is the iron giant
