  • Woohoo!!! Go bama!!!

  • The tune was arranged by Dave Slonaker when he was a student at Eastman.

  • @LXtrombone so I'm assuming it's pretty hard to get a hold of then?

  • Whose arrangement is this, this shit is ridiculous

  • lastima que la grabacion sea un tanto precaria en los medios, pero la orquesta en condiciones normales de audicion debe ser todo un lujo, muy bueno

  • Wow you guys were awesome. All I would like to know what type of trombone is he playing. Like what model? Either than that, wonderful piece.

  • king 2b JW model

  • Actually Trombone1991, and for the record, the horn in this video I am playing has a 50's-era 2B dual bore slide and a very lightweight bell from the 40's. I arrived at this set up swapping in/out among the 3-4 older 2B's I had at the time.

  • Mr. Iles, I'm sorry, to a students eyes it looked like a JW without the counterweight ect.

    amazing playing!

  • No sweat!! Thanks for even getting THAT close to id'ing the horn on this grainy video!!

  • Supaboy000- in music we have these things called 'arrangements,' where we interpret music in different styles from the original. Although the song is titled Blue Bossa, it was never played in the style of a traditional Brazilian Bossa Nova.

  • Nice a little to fast for an original bossa or "Blue Bossa" by Kenny Dorham to be more specific. But yea its still pretty good I'd have to say just slow it a down by about 50-70 tempos. But not 50-70 tempo tempos S.
