I don't subscribe to the environmentalists' views, at least not fully, but this case was an astounding lapse of judgment for what can accurately be described as a corporate empire in that they thought that a seldom-seen leaflet warranted a ten-year legal war. They spent 11 years in court because they wanted their criticism of Mcdonalds to be taken seriously. They didn't want any financial payback. and there are bills that prevent lawsuits of big food corporations from people who sue them just to get rich. They won because other people who were to afraid to speak out against Mcdonalds heard about the case and helped them site factual evidence. Like people who work inside the company.
