Account Control needs to be turned on to see the Administrator icon in the logon page.

start=>control panel=>classic view=>user accounts=turn the account control on or off=>tick it if its blank and reboot

most users are by default admin level

the lesser level is for folks who shouldnt be able to initialize main administrator anyway

all the same i am asked for a password too

do this extra step at the command prompt

>net user administrator password

where password is whatever you want

then log off and use this password in the administrator logon
