Does anyone remember or have the very very original Nickelodeon clips or cartoons..can't remember what they were, because I was very young, but it was something like they were putting a nickel into a spinning nickelodeon, then the cartoons started, and there was a mime...but that might have been from pinwheel??LOL!

OMG!! I'v been searching for this for years! I think they played it on romper room mabye. I can remmber hearing this song when I was a kid, and I loved it. that is so true. they were very international when it came to other cartoons/shows. the cartoons they have now-a-days, can't touch ones like these...fraggle rock, muppets, the littles, jem and the misfits....and wasn't paddington bear from pinwheel also? he had an english accent. i loved paddington bear.

gosh i must be getting old . i used to sit and watch pinwheel, and simon was one of my fave shorts they did, i loved the song. i loved all the shorts, played on pinwheel

yeah he did...I watched this as a kid and forgot about the show until I searched for Pinwheel online....now that I think back about the SNL sketch, Mike was doing a parody of Simon.

This was one of my most favorite cartoons on Pinwheel and it brings back such good memories. I also use to love "Emily" also on Pinwheel. Man I wish Nickelodeono would wise up and just give us our own Classic Nickelodeon channel and show all this stuff from the 80s, the stuff that my generation grew up with. The shows that giave us such wonderful memories. Thank you so mucy for posting this and if you have more I'd love to see them.
