  • Dick Dale was born in South Boston, Massachusetts and lived in nearby Quincy until the eleventh grade. He is of Lebanese, Polish and Belarusian descent (however, his father was not born in Lebanon).Among his early musical influences was his uncle, an oud player performing belly dance music. Much of his early music shows a Middle Eastern influence; Dale is often credited as one of the first electric guitarists to employ non-Western scales in his playing

    BTW: Nice man! very nice

  • I try to Play As many "Guitar-like" Instruments that are possible so i have One question : what is Important when i want to buy an oud?

  • cool, ive never seen one played before, sounds awesome

  • @ozansahin81 I hate to tell you this, but you are hitting the wrong notes. (Take it from a musician who knows.) The key you are playing in is a slightly sharp F#, so I will call it F#. The opening notes you are playing are: F# G# A# B C# D F# D C#. The notes should be: F# G(natural) A# B C# D F(natural) D C#. Most people are tone deaf, so it's no wonder no one else has ever noticed!

  • @brucenator

  • Know what? I like Dick Dale's, and this guy too. Don't be a music-hating cretin.

  • thats the original, misirlou is a greek song

  • cool I think the original song is oriental

  • greek

  • not greek more Turkish this guy

  • The song "Misirlou" was first performed by the Michalis Patrinos rebetiko band in Athens, Greece in 1927. As with almost all early rebetika songs (a style that originated with the Greek refugees from Turkey), the song's actual composer has never been identified.

  • Yes, and The story is about a girl from Alexandria, called Misirilou...

  • There wasn't only Gokturks. Huns are before them and since them, there'd been more than 50 Turkic states established until today.

There was Greek city (site) states.. Like Sarta state, Athens state...Then there'd been a mix between Romans and Greeks...

  • Yes,the power of these states was not only in mainlands. Excpept all modern greece, there were occupied all lands near the sea all over today Turkey, south Italy, South Ukrain, West Georgia, all Cyprus, South France, East Spain. We are talking about 500BC.The basic cities were called Polis Kratos - City State.but they had vast lands owned out tof the city, they didnt own only what was inside the wall. That was their addministrative place.Place for the kings and the wealthy. All others lived outside

  • So what??

  • I dont know. I replied to your nonsence answer as well...
