Hawks use up a ton of energy hunting and surviving, taking away it's food it would be hard for the hawk to catch something again. If you don't like it don't watch it. Walk away, humans aren't in charge to make sure Predator and Prey wouldn't fight to and make the world peaceful.

are you sure? Goshawks are accipiters, and accipiters have rounded, long tails. << Thing kept the tail fanned out to balance itself so it was harder to tell...

It's DEFINITELY an ACCIPITER.

It could be an immature Female Coopers Hawk instead of a Goshawk. Goshawks whether adult or immature have a "white eye strip" which this bird does not distinctly seem to have. But the breast has streaked brown feathers so it is Definitely an immature bird. Adults have finely Bared underparts. In the Goshawk it would be a pearly gray, in the Cooper's a brick red.
